This is the VLOG of introducing the summer music festival "Taiwan PASIWALI Festival 2020" held in Taitung, eastern Taiwan on August 15-16.
-
I stamped on my neck a wild boar of the PASIWALI logo to make my mood in a festival.
-
At the market inside the venue,
-
I was able to find foods and goods that I can't usually meet, and I could feel the indigenous culture!
-
Beer, snacks, picnics, and music.
It's awesome😍✨
-
Many artists related to the indigenous people performed. 45,000 people participated in 2 days this year!
-
It is said to be one of the most famous and lively events in Taitung, that performers and participants from overseas gather every year.
-
Let's report on the market area backward the venue!
-
There are various shops, so I would like to see them!
-
"Do you know the Taroko tribe?"
(He speaks Japanese well!)
-
I heard that the Taroko people play music only with the scale of "D, E, G, A".
-
-Demonstrating using only "D, E, G, A"-
-
There are lots of cute things!!
How cute!!
-
There is no doubt that girls would be in a fever to shop. lol
-
What is this?
-
It's a coconut fan!
-
A lot of handmade goods!
-
Sauljaljui, a singer-songwriter from the Paiwan tribe from the village of Pingtung.
-
I can't understand the Paiwan language, but all the songs with a relaxed singing voice are wonderful!
-
She takes in pop music, folk songs, Latin rhythms, and world music.
-
The taste of the songs is ethnic music, but it's easy for beginners to listen to it. I personally highly recommend it to ethnic music fans as well!
-
Sangpuy is popular for the stage performance that everyone feels like wants to dance at live performances, even for the first time.
-
His live performance made me feel like "Ethnic music is really fun!" Of course, I was dancing. lol
-
His roots, the Puyuma, have no letters and have inherited the history of the people through songs.
-
I heard that he continues to protect it with his own works and activities.
-
Winner of the 2019 Taiwanese Music Awards and nominated in multiple categories!
Amazing Show from Chiayi, southern Taiwan.
-
A very popular band with younger generations, incorporating Taiwanese songs and nostalgic styles.
-
Anyway, the fun and hot stage is a must-see!
The audiences' heat at the festival was really amazing😍
-
Van Fan, who has many foreigner fans and starred in the Taiwanese movie "Cape No. 7"
-
In fact, his roots in the Amis are from Taitung, the venue for PASIWALI!
-
The enthusiasm of the venue soared to the set list of the day, such as the representative songs "I Believe" and "Endless Happy (無樂不作)"!
-
Using a smartphone as a penlight, the audiences sang with him almost all songs from beginning to end!
-
Seredau, a singer who inherits his roots, the culture of the Paiwan tribe by singing.
-
You can feel the presence, warmth, and nostalgia of "the spirit of music" in the overwhelming singing voice that shakes your soul.
-
Even though I didn't understand the lyrics in his language, I felt like crying by the warmth.
-
Jia Jia, a well-known Taiwanese indigenous singer.
-
Her hometown, which has roots in the Wulu Bunun and Puyuma, is also here in Taitung!
-
Jia Jia, who is attractive for singing in any genre in a flowing and elegant voice, is my personally most recommended artist.
-
Her name and vocal remind me of JUJU (a Japanese famous singer), so I hope for co-acting JiaJia and JUJU!
-
BOXING, a famous band for songs which combine rap, Latin, hip hop, rock, etc.
-
All members are from the Paiwan tribe in Pingtung, southern Taiwan, and they won the Golden Melody Award.
-
Their 1st song grabbed the audiences' hearts and the heats of the venue suddenly raised!
-
Outlet Drift, a 3-piece band from the Amis tribe of Taitung.
-
Their music, called folk experimental rock band, is full of charms such as irregular meters, strong deep bass,
-
melodies and vocals with roots in folk songs, and unpredictable song evolution.
-
It's the No. 1 band that I want you to see and feel at a live concert.
-
"BDC" Bulareyaung Dance Company, a group of indigenous dancers who can sing and dance in the local Taitung.
-
Like last year, they are hugely popular in this PASIWALI! The audiences were keeping dancing for 40 minutes of their performance and it was a great success.
-
BDC has a wide range of expressions; exciting stages like this, or serious stage performances.
-
Let's prepare for next year with a live video of the Taiwan PASIWALI Festival official YouTube channel٩( ᐛ )و🔥
-
Known as the "Queen of Rock" in Taiwan, Naiwen Yang has been active on the front lines for over 20 years.
-
She is the great performer who won the Golden Melody Award which like Grammy in Taiwan and has been nominated four times!
-
She has a cool appearance and a characteristic voice, and receive great support especially from women🥺✨
