WIKITONGUES: June speaking Ilocano

I'm Jun Norberde.

I come from Tuguegarao, Cagayan.

My arrival to America was kind of difficult.

Of course, there were a lot of expenses

for my flight to America.

I'm here, in America.

I slept in Subway for two weeks

since I do not know anyone here in America.

So, I knew

two women in the Subway restaurant.

And one of the waiters there

knew me, and I went to their house.

When I was in their house, of
course, I had no job

So, I stayed with them
for three months and,

of course, they gave me money to spend

After three months of staying with them,

I kind of found a job at Dunkin' Donuts.

So, it's hard coming to America as a
stranger who knows no one.
