My Make Up Routine | Ahaana Krishna

  • 0:05 - 0:09
Today I'm going to do a video that I've been waiting to do for a long time.
  • 0:14 - 0:15
Today I'm gong to do makeup video.
  • 0:15 - 0:29
I have a couple of makeup options, like the ones that can be done in 2, 5,10 minutes.
  • 0:29 - 0:35
As well as the ones that can be done taking a lot of time and patience.
  • 0:36 - 0:39
I'll show you guys each one of these in future.
  • 0:39 - 0:46
Today, since I have a lot of time and patience. I'm going to do that version of my makeup.
  • 0:46 - 0:52
That is one that i will do in detail taking ample amount of time.
  • 0:53 - 1:01
Right now, I've preped my skin. Which I have shown in plenty of videos. You should never apply makeup directly on your skin.
  • 1:05 - 1:11
Let's start! Before that, I've to tie my hair because you can't do makeup leaving ot open.
  • 1:31 - 1:36
When we do makeup, the one thing we should keep in mind is that...
  • 1:37 - 1:43
Makeup should be done to enhance our features.
  • 1:43 - 1:50
So after applying makeup we shouldn't look like a painted version of someone.
  • 1:51 - 1:57
Makeup should be done with the concept, less is more.
  • 1:57 - 2:03
The beauty of this is when it is done subtly and not by over doing it.
  • 2:03 - 2:10
When it is over-done, no will ever say you have applied a lot of makeup and it looks super. People will only say it looks funny.
  • 2:10 - 2:16
So the beauty is when you apply just enough makeup that is required for your skin.
  • 2:18 - 2:24
That is good. So let's start! These are the products that I use for makeup.
  • 2:24 - 2:31
That's it. Its very less. You might be wondering why is this water bottle kept here.
  • 2:31 - 2:33
It's not for the face, but it's for me to drink.
  • 2:39 - 2:44
If you do makeup taking a lot of time. Then do keep a bottles of water there. I have heard people saying...
  • 2:48 - 2:52
Like if you are doing in taking a lot of time. But if you are in hurry to go somewhere, then it won't be meditative.
  • 2:52 - 3:02
If you take time and do, then it will definitely be seen. It will blended all nicely and all.
  • 3:06 - 3:07
    Let's begin.
  • 3:08 - 3:14
Today, since I'm taking time to do this there will be a lot of steps. I have preped by skin properly now.
  • 3:15 - 3:23
Before that, this is something which i use. This is not this small, it was longer. But it broke off.
  • 3:26 - 3:35
I started using this a while ago. I use it before going to sleep as well as when i wake up in the morning.
  • 3:38 - 3:46
It improves the blood circulation in our face and it's a stone so it gives that coolness to our face.
  • 3:53 - 3:58
This is a Chinese tool. Both of these come together. You must have seen it in instagram.
  • 4:03 - 4:05
    It's good for the jawbone.
  • 4:11 - 4:22
Our face has muscles, nerves and blood circulation. So when we do things like this, it is very relaxing to the face.
  • 4:22 - 4:25
And when we do it in the evening, we will get sleepy as well.
  • 4:30 - 4:33
Now let's start the main thing.
  • 4:35 - 4:38
The first thing i use is this concealer.
  • 4:41 - 4:50
I've this under eye, because when i was in school i wanted to be studious. So i used to go for tuitions early in the morning.
  • 4:51 - 4:56
Now when I think about it, i think it was useless. Because I am not learning or doing anything related to those things right now.
  • 4:57 - 5:02
So i got these dark circles because i used to go for tuitions early in the morning.
  • 5:06 - 5:09
It's almost over, I've to get a new one.
  • 5:13 - 5:19
When i work with a lot of makeup artists, they mostly use brush. But my tool is my hand.
  • 5:22 - 5:23
I apply a little under my eye.
  • 5:36 - 5:37
    Then areas you want...
  • 5:44 - 5:46
    Otherwise, it'll look weird.
  • 5:53 - 5:57
I have just covered the areas i want to conceal using this concealer.
  • 6:05 - 6:10
For blending we use beauty blender. But we cannot use it directly on our face.
  • 6:10 - 6:24
We should drench it in water first. Then we should squeeze out the excess water.
  • 6:25 - 6:35
Now when we use this blender, since it has moisture, it will will blend the makeup well. It'll have a translucent look.
  • 6:35 - 6:37
    It would look natural.
  • 6:44 - 6:46
Now, we will blend it out very well.
  • 7:13 - 7:20
Now, i have blended it. I feel proud because it looks better than how i do it regularly.
  • 7:22 - 7:25
You can see the dark circles concealed pretty well and it looks real.
  • 7:37 - 7:42
I'm actually still confused now. But this one has concealer written on top of it.
  • 7:42 - 7:44
This is from a brand called PAC
  • 7:51 - 7:55
This foundation is from a brand called Kay by Katrina
  • 8:02 - 8:04
I can't tell that story, because it's my friend's personal story.
  • 8:16 - 8:21
The fact that i like about this is, it is an hydrating foundation. It is very light.
  • 8:22 - 8:26
It had avacado butter, so it's soft on the skin and glides through skin and all.
  • 8:26 - 8:35
And you can see skin through it. That is another point, the natural texture of your skin should be seen.
  • 8:36 - 8:37
It shouldn't look like a painting.
  • 8:39 - 8:48
So i took a little bit of this and I'm applying it.
  • 8:49 - 9:00
Again under eye and neck. Then you can apply it here and there on your skin.
  • 9:06 - 9:13
Next pour water to this beauty blender. You don't have to wet it all the time. But i like it to be dripping wet.
  • 9:15 - 9:20
Another thing i do is this, so that i don't waste any of the product.
  • 9:21 - 9:34
Now blend it out slowly without any rush. If the makeup looks patchy here and there, then it will look bad.
  • 9:47 - 9:56
Next, i again wet the beauty blender and run it through my face for my satisfaction.
  • 9:57 - 10:03
So if there is any excess product, it will be gone according to my imagination.
  • 10:16 - 10:27
After the concealing the dark circles are all gone. But you can still see my acne and the natural texture of my skin.
  • 10:31 - 10:33
    Next we will...
  • 10:36 - 10:37
    We will fill eyebrows.
  • 10:42 - 10:52
Till a while ago, i was fond of heavily filling the brows. Recently, i lost that fondness and only do it for a formality.
  • 10:52 - 10:53
    Let's do it.
  • 10:53 - 11:01
My eyebrow pencil has a brush, so i comb it out first.
  • 11:02 - 11:09
I'm not someone who meticulously thread my eyebrows because I'm not too concerned about them.
  • 11:10 - 11:13
I like it grown here and there.
  • 11:44 - 11:46
So i have just filled my eyebrows for namesake.
  • 11:48 - 11:58
I do this with my middle finger, so the beginning of the eyebrows looks imperfect.
  • 11:59 - 12:07
I don't like it drawn sharply so i smudge it. After some makeup artists does my eyebrows, i usually do this.
  • 12:07 - 12:10
They ask me what I'm doing. I'll tell them that i like it this way.
  • 12:12 - 12:14
So i have done my eyebrows for namesake.
  • 12:15 - 12:23
Next let's do eye shadow. I forgot which brand i use. I think it's Maybelline.
  • 12:24 - 12:34
Also, i am not someone who experiments with a lot of eyeshadow colours. I use the exact same one for years now.
  • 12:35 - 12:40
You can see my pallet, i haven't used any of the other colours at all.
  • 12:47 - 12:48
    I just use this.
  • 12:50 - 12:54
It's the same thing about a restaurant, no matter how many times i go to a restaurant if i like something the first time, I'll only buy that particular item.
  • 13:01 - 13:05
This colour when we use, its not prominent.
  • 13:17 - 13:22
It doesn't look like a heavy eyeshadow, but it will give a colour to the top of the eyelid.
  • 13:27 - 13:32
I haven't done much to this eye. But it still looks nice. Right?
  • 13:32 - 13:34
Let's do the same to the other eye.
  • 13:41 - 13:51
After this, using a tissue we can smudge the edges. So it won't look hard, but it'll look soft.
  • 13:54 - 13:58
I found these out by myself.
  • 14:07 - 14:15
Baking is done by putting compact underneath eye while doing eyeshadow. These things are done by professionals.
  • 14:16 - 14:24
I am not interested in doing such things. Next let's line the eyes.
  • 14:25 - 14:34
For a long time, i wasn't interested in this. I did tell you there were many categories of makeup, right?
  • 14:34 - 14:37
In that if there is no-makeup makeup, then i do not line my eyes.
  • 14:40 - 14:47
Since this is not, i will line my eyes. But I'm stressed about this, because i want to get both the eyes equally done.
  • 14:50 - 14:52
    So i start with eyeliner.
  • 15:03 - 15:08
I like this beginning portion to be thin.
  • 15:37 - 15:40
I think it's fair enough on both the sides.
  • 15:44 - 15:58
I use the eyeliner to draw thin lines in the end portions. But for the middle portion, i use kajal to make it look thick.
  • 16:10 - 16:12
The last thing about the eye, is the mascara.
  • 16:15 - 16:21
For that, i like it this way which a makeup artist did for me a long time ago.
  • 16:22 - 16:28
What i do is, the lashes in the tip i make it darker. So it looks like it's open at the ends.
  • 16:49 - 16:54
In my 2 minute makeup, the only thing i put is my blush.
  • 16:55 - 17:04
This is Bobbi brown's blush called pot rouge. I saw someone in instagram tell about this and i got it.
  • 17:08 - 17:18
This is pale pink. I think this suits the normal Indian shade. The have other shades as well. But it's not that evident.
  • 17:31 - 17:37
I know i look like chutki in chotta Bheem. But I'm not done.
  • 17:39 - 17:47
I applied it using this finger and i then transfer it to both my hands. Further i blend it.
  • 17:51 - 17:56
I use my hands and blend it for a while. You don't have to apply this much, but i like it.
  • 17:56 - 18:04
I like this flushed out look, so when we blend it for a while, it'll get blended to our skin.
  • 18:05 - 18:09
You don't have wear so much of blush, but i like to wear it this way.
  • 18:17 - 18:25
When we apply powdered blush, it'll have those grains on face. I feel so.
  • 18:25 - 18:34
So the advantage of this creamy blush is that it blends to the skin. Also when it mixes with the sweat it creates another glow.
  • 18:45 - 18:49
It adds colour to our blank face.
  • 18:51 - 19:03
The last step is lipstick. You can apply lip balm if you are going for glossy look. But for today, im going with a matte look.
  • 19:11 - 19:18
This is Nykaa's totes natural lipstick. I got this in 2018, its really old.
  • 19:30 - 19:36
After blush you can apply highlighter, but for me my highlighter phase is over. I had it for quite a while.
  • 19:36 - 19:40
I used to but it here and it used to shine. But i am not currently into it right now.
  • 19:44 - 19:47
Also you can line your lips using liner. But today, i don't have the liner dor this shade.
  • 19:48 - 19:50
I also don't have the feel for it as well. So i am just going to put it.
  • 20:09 - 20:14
I wanted to do this since a long time.
  • 20:17 - 20:21
I really thought the day i do this, i might spill something and it'll be a mess.
  • 20:21 - 20:23
    But no, everything went well.
  • 20:31 - 20:33
What i wanted to say is that,
  • 20:34 - 20:38
It is good to wear makeup, also make sure that you have a makeup remover with you as well.
  • 20:38 - 20:43
The same effort you put in applying makeup should also be put in when you remove it.
  • 20:47 - 20:51
Remove it very well and wash your face. Otherwise it's a horrible habit.
  • 21:16 - 21:20
So let me go change and I'll show you guys my final look.
