[Interview with a new member]

Nice to meet you. I'm Durato Giuseppe,
26 years old from Italy.

I draw manga while doing modeling jobs.

Pleasure to meet you.

[WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO JAPAN?]
I moved from Italy in January 2015.

I've wanted to be a manga artist
ever since I was a child.

I came to Japan with a one-way ticket
because I really wanted to live in Japan.

[REASON WHY YOU BECAME A MANGA ARITIST]
Actually, I got interested in manga
artists when I was 16 years old.

Of course, Japanese anime is
popular in Italy.

So I came to love them
and learn about Japanese culture.

When I read manga I tried to make one
and found I could do it.

I tried to draw a manga, and
then my friends were pleased to read it.

I was very happy that
what I created made people laugh.

It was the best moment of my life,
and I can't fully put it into words.

I was extremely happy.

I aspired to be a manga artist,

because you only live once.

[REASON FOR JOINING TERRACE HOUSE]
Most people have
a certain image of Italian people.

There are definitely some
Italian guys like that.

Many Italian guys pick women up
and flirt with women for sure.

But, not all Italian guys are like that.

I can't play with women.

I intended to sleep around everyday,

but I can't.

I'm not that kind of person.

I can't do it unless we're in love, or
I’m feeling emotionally close to her.

So...

I hope people will understand
there are sincere... or ordinary Italian guys.

I think I'm an ordinary person.

[YOUR PAST RELATIONSHIPS]
I had a girlfriend when
I was 18 and she was 15.

I never hit on girls in Italy,

because I'm afraid of Italian girls
and I'm too shy.

If I hadn't dated her,
I would be still a virgin.

I was too shy for a while.

I'm getting used to talking to women
because of my model job.

I don't have much experience since
I devote myself to my partner.

Also because I hardly ever hang out with
other girls when I'm in a relationship.

Rather than wanting a girlfriend,
I really want to fall in love.

I want to have butterflies in my stomach.

I don't care where girls are from.

Nationality doesn't matter
when it comes to love.

I really like Japanese women.

[HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW?]
I'm sure I'll have a good experience.

I'm really looking forward to
moving into Terrace House.

I'm really excited now.

I can't wait. It should be fun.

I can't speak Japanese fluently.

I wonder what it’ll be like
when they don't understand my Japanese.

I wonder if they will teach me kindly.

I guess I won't get everything across
to them because of the language barrier.

If they're good people,
it should be okay.

I wonder if they will get along with me.
