When I was younger, I had an iPod

and on this iPod, I had the entire original soundtrack to Romeo and Juliet

the Bad Luhrmann film.

And there was a song that I didn't completely understand,

but I that I listened to each time and was called:

"Everybody's free to wear sunscreen"

I found it really nice, and when I learned English,

I understood it and said to myself:

"this is cool, this is neat!"

I had all of this advice in my head

but I never really put it into practice

because it had never hit me at what point

it was just about what I was going to live out in my life.

Not a long time ago, I remembered a phrase

that was always there circling in my head

which was: "Do one thing everyday that scares you"

and not too long ago, I remembered this phrase

and I said: "I'm going to reread that little speech"

and it hit me. It hit me.

Because it was in my head's library

I searched for it a bit, in my memory banks

and I had never really put it into practice

I had the feeling that it would really help me

and there, in realizing that, I said:

"shit, that's good!..."

"it's true, everything is true"

I said to myself that it was time for this speech to be heard

So we can all enjoy its benefits

And I think, if this isn't now,

one day in your life, it might be usefull to you !

Wear sunscreen.

If I only have one good advice

to give you for your futur, it will be

to wear sunscreen.

The sunscreen benefits

on the long term has been prouved by scientists

while all my other advices are only based

on my personnal experiences

Here are my advices.

Enjoy your youth's power and beauty

Forget it !

You'll understand your youth's power and beauty

only when they'll be gone. Trust me

in 20 years, you'll look at photo of your young self

and you'll remember about all the possibilities

you've had and how much they were fabulous.

You aren't as fat as you think

don't be scared about your futur

or yes, you can be scared, but

just know that being scared, it's as efficient as solving

an equation while you're chewing gum

You can't even imagine the real problems that

you'll enconter in your life and I'm not talking

about those which strikes you on a tuesday afternoon.

Everyday, do something that scares you.

Sing.

Don't be careless with somebody else's heart, but

don't hold on to someone who's careless with yours

Use dental floss.

Don't waste your time with jalousy

Sometimes you'll be ahead , sometimes you'll be behind

The race is longue but in the end,

it's between you and yourself.

Remember the compliments you received and forget the insults.

If you manage to do this... tell me how you do it.

Keep all your love letters

and throw all the bank statement.

Do some stretching.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what to do with your life

the more interesting people that I know,

didn't know what to do with their life at the age of 22

And the more interesting forties that I know

still don't know either.

Stock up on calcium.

Don't force on your knees.

You'll regret it when you'll can't use them anymore

Maybe you'll marry, maybe not.

Maybe you'll have kids, maybe not.

Maybe you'll split up at 40 and maybe

you'll dance "duck dance" at your 75th

wedding anniversary, but what you do doesn't matter

don't congratulate yourself, and don't either be

to hard on yourself, because

all your choices have 1 chance out of 2 to succeed.

Like everybody else.

Enjoy your body.

Use it in all possibles ways,

don't be affraid of it, and don't be affraid

about what other people think of it

It's the best instrument you'll ever have

Dance, even in your own living room

Always read instructions manuals, even if you don't follow them

Don't read girls magazines

they'll make you feel ugly.

Learn more about your parents

because you don't know when they'll be gone

be nice with your siblings

they're the best link to your past

and your more reliable support in your futur

Know that friend come and go

but for a small part of them,

you'll have to hang on to keep them

Try your best to keep contacts, even with

distance and differents ways of living, because

the more you'll age, the more you'll need people

you knew when you were young.

Live in Paris, bit move before you become to hard,

Live in the south, but move before you become to soft

Travel.

Accept some inalienable truth

price'll rise, politicians'll

be involved in bad stories,

you'll age too

And when you'll be old, you'll imagine

that, in your time, prices where reasonables,

politicians were nobles, and young people

respected their elders

Respect your elders

Don't hope that others will financialy take care of you

maybe you'll have a rent

maybe you'll have a rich partnair

but you won't know when they'll disapear

Don't mess with your hair

or at 40 you'll look like a 85's.

Pay attention to the advices you're given

but be patient with those who give it tou you

Advice is a form of nostalgia

Give an advice, is like fish out a memory

from the trash, clean it

repare the damaged pieces and recycle it

by giving it values that it doesn't really have.

But trust me about sunscreen.
