All the begums continue to pray for a miracle to occur that will stop this 'nikaah'. The 'nikaah' is conducted and after both Akbar and Atifa give their agreement to be a couple they come in front of the audience. Just when the audience was cheering for Akbar and Atifa they witness a horrifying scene when they see Atifa taking out a knife and striking Akbar with it. As the blood flows from Akbar the spectators realize that they have been trapped into a deadly ruse laid by Atifa aka Sakeena and her husband. All the begums including Jodha stand dumbfounded when they realize that Mahamanga is the mastermind behind this entire scheme and it was her plan to dethrone Akbar. But Mahamanga gets furious as she had planned to only dethrone Akbar and not kill him. While she is scolding Sakeena the episode takes an astounding twist as it turns out that Akbar is not dead and in fact was aware of this entire set up by Mahamanga.
