-
Thanks to your generosity,
the ICEJ was able to
-
bring the Fraerman family
home to Israel.
-
My name is Sergey. This is my wife Tatyana,
daughter Elizabth
-
and daughter Olga. We are from
the former Soviet Union.
-
I did not know anything about Aliyah,
my parents died when I was 9 years old.
-
And so, I didn't know that I could leave.
I knew that my
-
relatives lived in Israel. But I did not know
if I could come here.
-
Then, when I was 29 years old, I
found out that it
-
was possible to do this, and so
I began to engage in repatriation.
-
I had to look
for documents in the archives.
-
And the time came when all the
necessary documents were collected.
-
I was told that I could make Aliyah and
I immediately wanted to leave.
-
Firstly, we prepared in advance that
we will come here, and I will give birth here.
-
I prepared myself that
I would give birth here in Israel.
-
But because of Coronavirus first,
we had tickets for April 24th, then for
-
May 3rd and the time came closer and closer
when I would be forbidden to fly,
-
and we had begun to lose heart. What to do?
How could this be?
-
And suddenly we received a gift of fate.
-
I was 32 weeks pregnant with twins,
-
this was the last date that
I would be able to take a flight.
-
We were given a green light.
We were prepared literally in 4 days.
-
Everything happened at lightning speed:
suitcases, packing things.
-
We did not even realize how everything
came together and we were ready to leave.
-
We had so many things.
-
All our luggage was at the
maximum weight allowance for every person.
-
Our carry-on baggage was also at maximum weight.
-
We simply did not have a place to take
something else.
-
Our daughter's scooter was considered
separate luggage,
-
and we needed to pay extra for it.
-
I told my daughter: "Let us leave the scooter
and there we'll but another one, she said OK".
-
The ICEJ wanted to bless the Fraerman family
with a new double stroller and toys for the kids.
-
Tatyana and Sergey we want to welcome you to Israel
we're so excited that you're here.
-
I know that you left many things behind
you and that you're starting a new life.
-
But we have a few gifts for you to get
started. A bicycle for you and this one is for you.
-
And this one is for you,
you're having two babies, now you have
-
a double stroller.
-
Bless you, that you should have a wonderful, safe birth.
-
Thank you very much.
-
Can we give you a hug?
-
Thank you.
-
Welcome to Israel.
-
Yes, welcome, welcome
to Israel!
-
To move here was like a call in our blood.
I feel at home here.
-
We haven't even walked around yet but I have many friends and relatives here.
-
This is a good country. This is a safe place for children.
-
This is paradise on earth.
-
Our dreams are that our children will be well, that they
will achieve something
-
in their lives that we could not achieve.
-
We want to thank the Christian Embassy
for helping us to make Aliyah.
-
They help people make their dreams come true.
Many thanks to them for their support, for their help.
-
There are more dreams waiting to be fulfilled.
