Hello! To those watching, welcome!
-
I have an ASL story for you, "A Candy Bar".
-
OK. This woman worked in a room within a tall building.
-
This woman had a routine.
-
For her coffee break, she goes down to the first floor
-
to the break room, with all the food.
-
There she always grabs a coffee and buys a candy bar,
-
the Kit Kat bar, from the vending machine.
-
One day, she went to table in a corner,
-
and started to go through her purse.
-
She looked up to see a man sit down across the table from her.
-
He opened up a Kit Kat bar, and munched on it.
-
The woman noticed that the man also had
-
a coffee with a donut on the table.
-
While he was eating his Kit Kat bar, she went back to her purse.
-
Soon she realized her Kit Kat bar was missing.
-
She only had a cup of coffee with her.
-
She puzzled over this for a while as she drank her coffee.
-
As she thought about the missing Kit Kat bar,
-
fury started building up inside her.
-
Suddenly she grabbed her purse and went around the table
-
and looked down at the man eating his Kit Kat.
-
As the man looked at her, she grabbed his donut and ate it.
-
"Do you understand how I feel now? You understand?"
-
She stormed at him before leaving.
-
The confused man watched her go. "What was she talking about?"
-
She left to take the elevator back to her office.
-
She sat down at her desk, still furious.
-
"How rude! That man stole my Kit Kat, and I didn't have any,"
-
She was still mulling over this as she looked at her purse,
-
and there was a Kit Kat bar sticking out.
-
She stared at it silently.
-
She felt lousy.
-
That's it.
