  • 1:30 - 1:33
this is the go-to custom bagel

  • 1:33 - 1:35
It got popular for its rainbow bagels,

  • 1:59 - 2:01
First of all we're gonna start
    with the dessert because
  • 2:01 - 2:03
that's how I like to roll
  • 2:03 - 2:06
This one is their 'Oreo Monster',
  • 2:06 - 2:07
    you can see the cookie
  • 2:07 - 2:10
It has some blueberry cream cheese,
  • 2:10 - 2:12
    it has some Oreo cookie,

  • 2:14 - 2:16
Let me just take a bite
  • 2:20 - 2:22
I feel so guilty eating this
  • 2:22 - 2:24
The bagel itself is super fresh
  • 2:24 - 2:25
It's a little on the chewy side,
  • 2:25 - 2:27
but has a nice kind of chewy texture to it
  • 2:27 - 2:29

  • 4:00 - 4:04
    because it feels more
kind of like a real deal meal
  • 4:10 - 4:12
    It's like two flat biscuits
    smashed together
  • 4:12 - 4:14
    What's really nice
    about the outer shell
  • 4:14 - 4:17
is that they added some black sugar to it
  • 4:17 - 4:18
to give it that soft texture
  • 4:18 - 4:21
It looks like it would be
    hard and crunchy,
  • 4:21 - 4:25
but it has this nice kind of

  • 4:25 - 4:28
that a lot of other pastries
    like this don't have
  • 4:28 - 4:30
And then when you take a bite
    it's not just cheese,
  • 4:30 - 4:31
    it almost tastes like
  • 4:31 - 4:35
there's a mayonnaise flavor to it
or a buttery flavor to it
  • 4:35 - 4:37
    More than a dessert,
    it feels like I'm having
  • 4:37 - 4:41
kind of like pancakes with cheese
and mayonnaise on top of it
  • 4:41 - 4:43
And now for dessert we have the custard
  • 4:47 - 4:51
    Wow! Whoa!
    Don't lose the custard!
  • 4:51 - 4:53
You can see it just steaming,
  • 4:53 - 4:57
perfect for a fall day like this
when it's a little bit chilly
  • 4:57 - 5:00
    leaves are turning brown,
    they're falling on the ground
  • 5:00 - 5:03
you just need something to warm up
and this is the perfect treat
  • 5:03 - 5:06
    the custard itself it has
that kind of that eggy taste to it
  • 5:06 - 5:09
I can see like this shop
has been around for 70 years
  • 5:09 - 5:13
and you know a shop to last
that long it has to be good

  • 7:28 - 7:29

  • 7:29 - 7:33
throw some more maple syrup on here

  • 9:50 - 9:53
first i gotta have a beer though

  • 11:21 - 11:23
    they recommend using their original
  • 11:23 - 11:25
rausu kombu salt to brighten up the
  • 11:25 - 11:26
    taste of its ingredients
  • 11:26 - 11:30
i got the goodies look at this
  • 11:30 - 11:33
this is a wagyu croquet it should have
  • 11:33 - 11:35
    some potatoes in there
  • 11:35 - 11:38
    crispy panko golden fried
  • 11:38 - 11:41
sesame seeds on the top can't beat it
  • 11:41 - 11:42
    and take the first
  • 11:42 - 11:44
    bite
  • 11:45 - 11:47
    [Music]
  • 11:47 - 11:50
wow that is a piping hot you can
  • 11:50 - 11:51
    actually get
  • 11:51 - 11:52
the ones that they've already made or if
  • 11:52 - 11:54
you wait five minutes they will
  • 11:54 - 11:56
freshly fry it for you and that's what
  • 11:56 - 11:57
    we've done and that is
  • 11:57 - 11:59
ultra piping hot right there and you
  • 11:59 - 12:01
    have these really really thick
  • 12:01 - 12:03
pieces of wagyu beef they say tapi
  • 12:03 - 12:05
meaning there's just like a whole
  • 12:05 - 12:07
lot of wagyu in there and they give you
  • 12:07 - 12:08
    some white powder
  • 12:08 - 12:10
as well it's actually salt throw some
  • 12:10 - 12:13
salt up in there look at that sprinkle a
  • 12:13 - 12:14
    little bit on
  • 12:14 - 12:16
    just like so wow
  • 12:16 - 12:18
    [Music]
  • 12:18 - 12:22
wow the potatoes itself gives off a nice
  • 12:22 - 12:24
sweetness and the wagyu beef gives the
  • 12:24 - 12:25
umami just to round out the flavor
  • 12:25 - 12:28
and i just love how crunchy this is let
  • 12:28 - 12:29
me just share with you how crunchy this
  • 12:29 - 12:32
    is
  • 12:34 - 12:36
and i'm all done i should probably have
  • 12:36 - 12:38
    ordered more
  • 12:38 - 12:42
luckily i didn't just order the koroke i
  • 12:42 - 12:45
ordered also their menchikatsu look at
  • 12:45 - 12:47
that let me just take a quick bite
  • 12:47 - 12:50
    [Music]
  • 12:50 - 12:52
dude super hot just like the croquet the
  • 12:52 - 12:53
    meat juices
  • 12:53 - 12:55
are on point but i think you just need a
  • 12:55 - 12:57
little bit more flavor and that's why
  • 12:57 - 12:58
    they give you
  • 12:58 - 13:00
this salt and then you just gotta like
  • 13:00 - 13:01
throw a little bit of the salt on to
  • 13:01 - 13:03
accentuate that flavor and to kind of
  • 13:03 - 13:04
    bring it all out
  • 13:04 - 13:06
so you got all the salt flakes on there
  • 13:06 - 13:08
    right there
  • 13:11 - 13:13
and it's just so crispy you can see it
  • 13:13 - 13:15
    just flakes off
  • 13:15 - 13:17
getting all over my pants make sure to
  • 13:17 - 13:18
have your napkins ready probably have it
  • 13:18 - 13:20
all over my face as usual but
  • 13:20 - 13:22

  • 13:31 - 13:34
all the way back to 1927 in osaka
  • 13:34 - 13:36
    originally gained its popularity from
  • 13:36 - 13:37
    serving egg sandwiches in bite-sized
  • 13:37 - 13:39
form to mostly women entering the
  • 13:39 - 13:40
    workforce
  • 13:40 - 13:42
who also appreciated being able to take
  • 13:42 - 13:43
their food with them while working
  • 13:43 - 13:46
    outside or visiting the theater
  • 13:46 - 13:50
i got the baggies of goodies
  • 13:50 - 13:53
we got the boxes of all boxes this is
  • 13:53 - 13:54
    probably the happiest
  • 13:54 - 13:58
box i'll get today the wrapping is just
  • 13:58 - 14:00
insane in japan i feel like christmas
  • 14:00 - 14:02

  • 14:02 - 14:04
get through all the wrapping to get your
  • 14:04 - 14:05
    present
  • 14:05 - 14:08
    and bam look at
  • 14:08 - 14:11
this premium oh my god this
  • 14:11 - 14:15
is a lot of egg sandwich
  • 14:15 - 14:19
wow this is for like a small family
  • 14:19 - 14:23
look at this one two three four five
  • 14:23 - 14:26
    six six healthy egg
  • 14:26 - 14:28
sandwiches if you split that in half
  • 14:28 - 14:29
    that is a
  • 14:29 - 14:32
12 full pieces well if you split that in
  • 14:32 - 14:34
half i guess that's not a full piece
  • 14:34 - 14:38
this is the real deal egg sandwich
  • 14:38 - 14:46
oh you can smell the mayonnaise
  • 14:47 - 14:51
    wow that is amazing
  • 14:51 - 14:53
that is an egg sandwich that will kick
  • 14:53 - 14:54
    you in the junk
  • 14:54 - 14:57
this is awesome you can see all of the
  • 14:57 - 14:58
    moistness coming
  • 14:58 - 15:00
from that egg the texture of the egg is
  • 15:00 - 15:02
quite solid like some of the eggs i've
  • 15:02 - 15:04
had are really really fluffy where this
  • 15:04 - 15:05
    one is quite dense
  • 15:05 - 15:08
wow you could really taste that i think
  • 15:08 - 15:10
it has some mustard in it but it almost
  • 15:10 - 15:12
tastes like a wasabi or like a mix of
  • 15:12 - 15:15
both there's just so much flavor and
  • 15:15 - 15:16
    that dashi
  • 15:16 - 15:19
    is really really strong
  • 15:19 - 15:22
literally if i got this as a present
  • 15:22 - 15:24
