[Josh Gabelmann - Junior/Fullback] Josh Gabelmann I'm a junior from Bettendorf Iowa
-
[Reporter] Josh your half way through fall camp
-
so far give me your thoughts
-
on how camp has been for you?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] Uh camp has been going
-
pretty good right now.
-
Offensively were still in the process
-
of learning our new offensive you know
-
coach Ruse and coach Henderickson
-
are really doing a good job with us.
-
Teaching it to us and defensively
-
they've just been doing well all camp.
-
[Reporter] What does it mean for you to uh personally
-
be a leatherneck this is a very proud
-
very uh strong tradition program
-
what does it mean for you to be a leatherneck?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] Uh coming to this school
-
there's a lot of pride and dedication
-
and definitely a lot of tradition here at this school
-
and I just I just can't imagine
-
me being apart of any other school besides this one.
-
[Reporter] Now the offensive has got a pretty good
-
streak going seven straight years
-
having a thousand yard rusher.
-
What's going to be the keys to be able to repeat that feat
-
and make it eight straight?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] Uh you know we just got to do
-
the best we can and [C Ray] [Marv]
-
whoever's in the back field
-
you know me [Rick] you know we just have to do
-
the best we can block for the running backs.
-
[Reporter] Alright Josh were going to finish up
-
were going to try and do a little word association
-
I'm going to give you a name of one of your fellow
-
running backs I want you to tell me
-
first one or two words first thing
-
that comes to your mind when I mention this person.
-
Let's start with [C Ray] [Caulton Ray]?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] A funny guy.
-
[Reporter] How about [Marva Carley]?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] Enthusiastic!
-
[Reporter] [Lamar Hickman]?
-
[Josh Gablemann] Smart Guy.
-
[Reporter] [Rick Richardson]?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] Uh he's the big offensive guard guy.
-
[Reporter] [Mike Harmon]?
-
[Josh Gabelmann] True leatherneck marine.
-
[Reporter] Josh Gabelmann looking forward
-
to seeing you on the field September 2nd.
