The Motive | A Documentary Film by Alargam Muzamil

The film was shot entirely on a mobile phone and chronicled the inspiring journey of Motive, a musical band born from the fragments of various groups affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Relocating to Port Sudan, the Motive members exhibit extraordinary resilience and determination as they strive to establish their band amidst numerous challenges. This poignant documentary is a testament to the unyielding spirit of artists who refuse to let adversity silence their passion for music. Created as part of the Pocket Mobile Stories stand by the British Council, the film highlights the power of technology in storytelling and the indomitable human spirit that finds harmony in the face of discord.
