Learning Math on Khan Academy

This video tour shows what it's like to learn math on Khan Academy and gives an overview of our learning dashboard.

Hello and welcome to Khan Academy. The goal of this video is to show you what it's like to learn

math on our site.

When you create an account, one of the first things you'll see is a list of subjects. Pick your

grade level or the subject you wanna learn. You can access this list at any time.

Now let's say you wanna try Algebra One. When you start a new subject, you might see a

mission warm-up. This warm-up helps us find out what you already know and what you still

need to learn.

As you answer problems correctly, you'll earn energy points and unlock cool new avatars.

If you see a problem you're not sure how to solve, feel free to click "I haven't learned this

yet."

Okay, when you finish your warm-up, you'll unlock your learning dashboard. Based on how

you're doing so far, Khan Academy will recommend skills for you to practice.

You may also see challenges which help you level up. Each challenge contains problems on a

variety of skills. On the left, you can see the mission you're working on and the progress

you've made broken down by topic.

Finally, you'll see important notifications up here.

So the learning dashboard is a great way to get a personalized view of Algebra One, but, if you

want a quick overview of all the material in this subject, you can click here.
