Hi Nylon TV, we´re My Body and we're the winner of this year's project aloft Star Competition

We both grew up in Oregon and My Body started about two years ago in Portland.

We know each other for a long time in respect to what each other did in their other bands, and as those started to fade away

just realized that, like, it just made sense for us to try something out, try collaborating

Influences...A major influence is Beyonce? I'm just saying that more for you than for me.

I think we're both really influenced by all the friends we grew up being in bands with.

Portland is this really, like, gentle wonderful music community, and kind of everyone knows each other

and everybody is been in the band of everyone else

Now we live in Brooklyn, we're living in Bushwick and we really like the tacos here

There's a really great claw game that you get stuffed animals from for 50 cents. Super easy.

Darrin's really good at the claw game.

I'm really good at it.

On a day that Darrin and I have off, we're both really excited to work on music together and we actually

practice in our house at this point, we really love our backyard that our neighbor shares with us so we drink coffee out there

our mixing engineer is right around the corner so we like go visit him too, we just finished an EP

and it should be coming out pretty soon, yeah, in the future, I mean, we're going

to South by Southwest, actually booked our hotel room at Aloft hotels just the other week, which is - we're pumped about.

We played a really great show with Aloft for CMJ. They have some really cool bands come in there and play in their lobby.

We really like Aloft Hotels and we're really thankful for they gave us this opportunity
