Misan Sagay describes her journey of researching and writing the story and script for the movie "Belle." She emphasizes the importance of making your story your own and inspires her audience to write their own story and tell it to the world.
Misan's wrote and produced "Secret Laughter of Women," a full-length screenplay which premiered at the London Film Festival 1999. She also worked on "Their Eyes were Watching God," an adaptation for Harpo Films/HBO for ABC. It was produced by Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones and starred Halle Berry.
