James Cromwell is a talented actor who has done extensive work in both film and theater, and is well-known for his memorable performance as Farmer Hoggett in the smash-hit "Babe" for which he received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar ® nomination. Born in Los Angeles, Cromwell grew up with parents in the acting world. He acted in the Free Southern Theater before he founded his own company, Stage West, and co-directed a short film shown at the London Film Festival.
