-
(interviewer) Billy, well done.
-
Just the result, the
performance we were looking for.
-
Pretty much a perfect day.
-
Yeah, it's what we came
here to do, three points,
-
push into the top four.
-
And it's a good
performance from the boys.
-
(interviewer) Was the
timing of the goal
-
was really important today,
early on in the first half,
-
then early on in
the second half?
-
I think with--
-
when we were
playing we knew they
-
were going to place high,
not give us a lot of time
-
on the ball, and we've
seen that from where
-
we are trying to play out.
-
So it was difficult.
But the fast goal
-
was designed from Kai.
-
A lovely finish.
-
And that just put us straight
to keep going and wanting more.
-
(interviewer) You
look at it on paper
-
and think team coming here
in the relegation zone
-
might be straightforward,
but their away record's
-
been really good this season.
-
And certainly in the first
half they were a threat,
-
but we managed to nullify it.
-
Yeah, they were tough team.
-
And they worked hard.
-
They were pressing you tight and
never gave you a lot of time.
-
So you had to be sharp.
-
And I found out in
the first couple
-
of minutes I had to be
on my toes and be ready.
-
So it's been a long time
since I've played them.
-
So today, it was really good.
-
Three points and keep
pushing up the table.
-
(interviewer) How
do you feel now?
-
Presumably the adrenaline
still kicking in,
-
might be a bit tired tomorrow.
-
Yeah, adrenaline
is still kicking.
-
but knowing it's a
tough, tough match.
-
First match back in a long time.
-
So it was good to go there.
-
Enjoyed it.
-
(interviewer) And nice to be
alongside Mason as well real
-
kind of Cobham flavour
to the midfield today.
-
Yeah, so it's always--
-
it's always good
to play with Mason.
-
It's very easy to link
up well and rough out
-
with the boys in the team.
-
We thought we played
really well today.
-
Top performance.
-
We worked really hard with
not having a lot of rest.
-
(interviewer) Obviously
it's been mainly
-
FA Cup football for
you this season.
-
Do you notice a difference
about the style of the game
-
when you come into a
Premier League match?
-
I think with our
style it's always
-
the same where we want to
play fast through the lines,
-
counterattack, and scoring
goals in second play.
-
So definitely, and the
FA Cup is that team
-
but coming against
different teams,
-
you know if they're
playing against Chelsea,
-
they're going set
in different games.
-
But today, they
never, they really--
-
we're on the front foot and
want to give it a good battle.
-
(interviewer) And
because the manager's
-
got you so well
drilled, does that
-
make it easier to
come into the team
-
when you haven't
played for a while?
-
Because it feels like
everybody knows exactly what
-
to expected of them.
-
Yeah I would
say it's not easy,
-
but yeah, you know
what you're doing.
-
You're learning every day on the
pitch on the training ground.
-
It's getting drilled into
you, what the manager asks
-
and demands from you.
-
(interviewer) And finally,
obviously massive game
-
to come on Wednesday night.
-
You'll be looking forward
to as everybody is.
-
It's the stuff
dreams are made of,
-
isn't it, whether
you get on or not,
-
to be involved before you
turn 20 in a Champions League
-
semi-final, incredible.
-
Yes, an exciting week.
-
Madrid at home,
second leg, you know
-
we could have won
the game there,
-
but it's going to be
a tough game for us,
-
but we know we're ready
and we can't wait.
