My Netflix Problem Is Back! #VEDA/VEDALA 16.08.28 | #withcaptions @paulidin

  • 0:00 - 0:04
    [quiet]
  • 0:05 - 0:09
Paul: Trying to figure out how to get in there, Dru?
woman: I know, you can fit through there, that's kinda scary!
  • 0:09 - 0:13
    woman: One day, you won't.
Paul: Well, like in a week she won't
  • 0:13 - 0:14
    woman: right! hahaha!
  • 0:14 - 0:17
    Paul: growing so fast!
woman: come here! come here, come here!
  • 0:22 - 0:24
Paul: Trying to stick your head in there
    again Dru?
  • 0:25 - 0:27
I'm gonna try vlogging like this
  • 0:27 - 0:33
Why not? Dru and I are out for her
evening walk. It is very dark. But there
  • 0:33 - 0:38
are street lights and i discovered that
if i use the back-facing camera--
  • 0:38 - 0:40
    the back-facing camera?
  • 0:40 - 0:43
yeah! --on my phone, that I get a decent
    picture.
  • 0:44 - 0:50
Cool. I've fallen into a trap these past
couple days, saturday and today's Sunday,
  • 0:50 - 0:57
wherein I've just watched Charmed all
day long. I mean, I've done a little bit. i
  • 0:57 - 1:01
went to Doomie's Home Cookin' today. That
was cool. But for most but i'm just
  • 1:01 - 1:08
watching Charmed and it's a thing that I
fall into where I feel like I have to do
  • 1:08 - 1:12
the next thing in a series. I'm not going
to say it's an addiction. I'm not gonna
  • 1:12 - 1:17
say it's an obsession. But I certainly do
feel very compelled to do it and it's
  • 1:17 - 1:19
    hard for me to shake.
  • 1:19 - 1:23
It's part of the reason why I try not to
do anything that I can get in the
  • 1:23 - 1:28
routine of doing over and over again
like playing video games or what have
  • 1:28 - 1:28
    you.
  • 1:28 - 1:36
It's not good i get stuck doing it. So i
just wanted to point that out as a flaw
  • 1:36 - 1:41
that i have and ask if you have that
kind of flaw, too. Again I don't want to throw
  • 1:41 - 1:45
    around words like addiction and
    obsession and compulsion because those
  • 1:45 - 1:50
    actually have medical definitions. Those
are legit mental diagnoses and I don't
  • 1:50 - 1:54
have those. But do you ever have a
problem where you have a hard time
  • 1:55 - 2:01
stopping doing the thing that is
interrupting your life? Right now i'm
  • 2:01 - 2:04
watching series on netflix and that's
kind of keeping me from doing other
  • 2:04 - 2:10
things. I don't like that it does that to me or that
I let myself do that, but i'm stuck there.
  • 2:10 - 2:14
So let me know in the comments below if
you have an issue with something like
  • 2:14 - 2:20
that and what is it and do you have a way
of, like, beating it? If it weren't for
  • 2:20 - 2:23
the fact that i have to walk Dru on
a regular basis, i might not have left my
  • 2:23 - 2:28
apartment this weekend! And that's my
VEDA for today, confessing that I have
  • 2:28 - 2:33
this problem with Netflix shows. I know
it's not unique to me. I know tons of
  • 2:33 - 2:37
people get into this thing with Netflix,
but i don't know how many people let it
  • 2:37 - 2:38
    interfere with their lives.
  • 2:38 - 2:43
Anyway, you've made it to the end of my
video and at the end of my video i
  • 2:43 - 2:45
always say the same thing which is:
  • 2:45 - 2:46
    Tomorrow
  • 2:47 - 2:48
    will be even better!
