What is special
about Transparant's
youth opera project?

Morgane: Working with dancers,
that's very new for me.

I've never danced like this
in my life.

Ivan: All 3 elements come together in an opera:

dance, musicians -- music -- and singers.

How can we intertwine them
and make them one?

Why should people
come to see Transparant's
Dido and Aeneas?

Morgane: The audience will have so many things to look at,

it will be very powerful, I think.

Astrid: You don't really notice
that this was put together

in two weeks,
from scratch.

I find it rather professional,

given that the participants are young

and not yet professional
or semi-professional.

Ivan: I think it's going to be
a different version

of the traditional Dido and Aeneas

that we've always seen
somewhere else.

Nicolas: There are few organisations
that do this, in this manner.

To me, this is
a truly unique project.

Matthias: The directing style of Wouter and Itamar
is very modern,

and the music
is very ancient.

That results
in a very original approach.

It is very different
from the classical performance

of baroque opera
or even opera in general.
