0:00 - 0:03what's up guys so we're back in other
-
0:01 - 0:05videos today with like a buddy Ethan and
-
0:03 - 0:09what are you talking about saison oh
-
0:05 - 0:11let's talk about some price Corrections
-
0:09 - 0:13and volatility in nation markets because
-
0:11 - 0:16that's what cryptocurrency markets are a
-
0:13 - 0:19nation market means new kind of
-
0:16 - 0:22innovative they're unfamiliar right
-
0:19 - 0:24nation's markets have a couple of
-
0:22 - 0:27qualities that make them very volatile
-
0:24 - 0:29so one they're thin that is there's less
-
0:27 - 0:31liquidity in these markets and say the
-
0:29 - 0:34foreign exchange where trillions of
-
0:31 - 0:36dollars are traded every day on bitcoins
-
0:34 - 0:37market you might have one or two billion
-
0:36 - 0:41dollars traded every day as an example
-
0:37 - 0:44so these markets move in very shocking
-
0:41 - 0:46ways so I see things on social media
-
0:44 - 0:49sometimes where you'll have a news
-
0:46 - 0:52headline that says Bitcoin lost 30% of
-
0:49 - 0:54its value in one day and it's true
-
0:52 - 0:56because we heard of a to its high of
-
0:54 - 0:58whatever the past 24 hours may have come
-
0:56 - 1:00down quite a lot this is something that
-
0:58 - 1:04shocks a lot of people and it shouldn't
-
1:00 - 1:07because these markets are by their very
-
1:04 - 1:09nature extremely volatile you need to
-
1:07 - 1:13keep that in mind I think that a lot of
-
1:09 - 1:16people right now is it is it what's the
-
1:13 - 1:19company clean coinbase they they added
-
1:16 - 1:22something like 40,000 new accounts if in
-
1:19 - 1:24one day yeah one day it went absolute so
-
1:22 - 1:25so many people rushing into the space
-
1:24 - 1:27naturally I think there are a lot of
-
1:25 - 1:28people who are probably unfamiliar with
-
1:27 - 1:31these markets and then get shocked by
-
1:28 - 1:33the movements wow they get to get like
-
1:31 - 1:35their mind gets blown I think a lot of
-
1:33 - 1:37people may lose a lot of money if
-
1:35 - 1:40they're not aware of what's going on why
-
1:37 - 1:42those price shocks happen and again it's
-
1:40 - 1:45down to new markets that are disruptive
-
1:42 - 1:45and they're very thin so they move very
-
1:45 - 1:48quickly
-
1:45 - 1:50I actually a good example of your if
-
1:48 - 1:52you're comparing these markets to
-
1:50 - 1:54traditional crypto or traditional
-
1:52 - 1:56currency markets you'll find where I
-
1:54 - 1:58mentioned trillions of dollars are
-
1:56 - 2:00traded every day you'll find that the
-
1:58 - 2:02spread in these market the difference
-
2:00 - 2:05between the buy price and the sell price
-
2:02 - 2:07are fractions of a penny in fact on the
-
2:05 - 2:10most popular traded currency pair the
-
2:07 - 2:12euro US dollar the spread is sometimes
-
2:10 - 2:13as low as zero which means the prices
-
2:12 - 2:15actually match each other and they're
-
2:13 - 2:19just waiting for people to pick up the
-
2:15 - 2:22orders so in those markets you'll see
-
2:19 - 2:24that's that's incredible liquidity lots
-
2:22 - 2:26and lots of liquidity to access for
-
2:24 - 2:29traders in the crypto markets you will
-
2:26 - 2:33find spreads oftentimes of several
-
2:29 - 2:36dollars between bid and ask prices so
-
2:33 - 2:37again these markets are thinner than
-
2:36 - 2:40markets that are much more
-
2:37 - 2:42well-established they're newer so people
-
2:40 - 2:45are trying to find one more price
-
2:42 - 2:45discovery as people as more people enter
-
2:45 - 2:47the market
-
2:45 - 2:48it becomes more volatile because more
-
2:47 - 2:49and more people then have a best of
-
2:48 - 2:51financial interest in the price
-
2:49 - 2:52direction going one way or another and
-
2:51 - 2:54there are people who have a vested
-
2:52 - 2:57interest in prices going down as are
-
2:54 - 2:59called short traders so what I'm trying
-
2:57 - 3:02to explain is that these markets are
-
2:59 - 3:04extremely volatile and if you're seeing
-
3:02 - 3:06price shocks you need to keep your wits
-
3:04 - 3:10about you and understand this this is
-
3:06 - 3:12this is a logical rational way for this
-
3:10 - 3:14market act just because it's so thin if
-
3:12 - 3:16everything I not to mention there's only
-
3:14 - 3:18certain key players such as central
-
3:16 - 3:21exchanges and control the whole inflow
-
3:18 - 3:22and outflow of crypto itself yet we
-
3:21 - 3:24definitely should actually mention
-
3:22 - 3:26manipulation that's going to bring up
-
3:24 - 3:29because manipulation is something I
-
3:26 - 3:30think we'd all like to deny oh no these
-
3:29 - 3:34markets are pure and wonderful now that
-
3:30 - 3:37they initially wanted a manipulation
-
3:34 - 3:39absolutely occurs and again it's largely
-
3:37 - 3:43because these markets are new but also
-
3:39 - 3:45because these markets are the skirt
-
3:43 - 3:48regulation I think in a lot of in a lot
-
3:45 - 3:50of cases so as you get these new markets
-
3:48 - 3:51with a lot of new people who don't
-
3:50 - 3:52necessarily understand what's going on I
-
3:51 - 3:55think those people are easy to take
-
3:52 - 3:58advantage of if you run a centralized
-
3:55 - 4:01exchange you have opportunity to
-
3:58 - 4:03manipulate prices and even in in
-
4:01 - 4:03regulated environment so that might be
-
4:03 - 4:07very
-
4:03 - 4:10attempting to decide that hey if I can
-
4:07 - 4:13just hide the behavior I may be able to
-
4:10 - 4:15make an extra million or two that's a
-
4:13 - 4:16very very tempting position for somebody
-
4:15 - 4:19who's running a centralized exchange to
-
4:16 - 4:21be in to manipulate prices to metric to
-
4:19 - 4:23manipulate their customers to manipulate
-
4:21 - 4:26liquidity and price feeds so that
-
4:23 - 4:29behavior it's sometimes hard to prove
-
4:26 - 4:30and often times impossible but I think
-
4:29 - 4:31it's very naive to think it doesn't
-
4:30 - 4:34happen so we need to be aware of that
-
4:31 - 4:36and also this is why decentralized
-
4:34 - 4:38exchanges are more and more compelling
-
4:36 - 4:41as because if you have these centralized
-
4:38 - 4:43of administrations these centralized er
-
4:41 - 4:45well they're like what and failure like
-
4:43 - 4:47yeah look at back just two weeks ago is
-
4:45 - 4:49still ongoing sometimes the DDoS attacks
-
4:47 - 4:51sure exactly exchanges can't they're
-
4:49 - 4:53their manipulators they're they're
-
4:51 - 4:55exposed to attacks they can be brought
-
4:53 - 4:58down right I think this is a problem
-
4:55 - 5:00with baloney axis scaling their hardware
-
4:58 - 5:03Polonia X has these constant problems
-
5:00 - 5:04not to say the plenty X's at arable
-
5:03 - 5:06exchange rating but they run into
-
5:04 - 5:07problems just like any other exchange
-
5:06 - 5:09crack and runs into these problems as
-
5:07 - 5:11well exchanges run into problems where
-
5:09 - 5:12their hardware isn't necessarily meeting
-
5:11 - 5:15the demand of their customer base and
-
5:12 - 5:17also not just above demand of the
-
5:15 - 5:19customer base but are open to attack
-
5:17 - 5:21people can like you said DDoS attack or
-
5:19 - 5:23that's a distributed denial of service
-
5:21 - 5:25attack they can try to bring these
-
5:23 - 5:27exchanges down disrupt the prey and in
-
5:25 - 5:30if price is actually moving really fast
-
5:27 - 5:31attacking an exchange creates market
-
5:30 - 5:34uncertainty of net exchange there's a
-
5:31 - 5:36lot of a lot of market share so there
-
5:34 - 5:38are always risks of centralized
-
5:36 - 5:40exchanges not necessarily just
-
5:38 - 5:42corruption but also just as a mere set
-
5:40 - 5:44points of failure this is a again
-
5:42 - 5:47something we got to keep in mind all of
-
5:44 - 5:50these things add up to a volatile price
-
5:47 - 5:52point even more reason to not keep your
-
5:50 - 5:54crypto on exchange there's that fear
-
5:52 - 5:56don't keep your crypto on exchanges that
-
5:54 - 5:58vendor you use a good wallet I use a
-
5:56 - 6:00cold wallets or use any wallet that
-
5:58 - 6:02happens to see phrase back up and back
-
6:00 - 6:05up your stuff yeah for sure definitely
-
6:02 - 6:07use a wallet that you're going to be
-
6:05 - 6:09able to recover if you say break your
-
6:07 - 6:11phone or burn your computer down
-
6:09 - 6:16rage of frustration after Bitcoin lost
-
6:11 - 6:1930% of its value one day that's it be
-
6:16 - 6:21safe be aware keep your wits about you
-
6:19 - 6:22these are volatile nation markets you
-
6:21 - 6:24need to keep that in mind I think it's
-
6:22 - 6:25just really important that people just
-
6:24 - 6:27understand that awesome well thanks for
-
6:25 - 6:28sharing all right guys have any
