Sunil Kaushik and Yuka Yokozawa, known as Sushi and Sambar are Indo-Japanese couple who have been on the road for 300 days travelling 17,000km , on a budget of less than $5 a day. The last time they stayed in a paid accommodation was more than 250 days back. During their journey they have tried numerous jobs like Consulting, teaching in schools, Universities, Restaurants, farming in Vineyards, Raspberry fields,..etc. They travelled Georgia, Turkey Iran and reached Armenia with $0. They are in the process of writing the book titled #Golden Hearts on the road.

Sunil Kaushik is a writer, innovator and Influential voice of Quality for the American Society for Quality,. Yuka Yokozawa has worked for Japan foundation as an advisor for teachers in UK and enjoyed teaching primary and secondary school children. She is a passionate Japanese teacher teaching Japanese for all age groups (5 – 60 years).
