-
To create a prezi first login or
sign up for an account at prezi.com
-
Now click the new prezi button,
and give it a title and description.
-
You can choose from a selection of
templates with ready-made content to
-
help you get started,
-
but in this tutorial you'll start from a
blank prezi.
-
To move around your prezi you hold
down left-click on any blank area
-
to drag up… down...
-
left… and right.
-
Click the plus button to the left to zoom in
-
and click the minus button to zoom out.
-
There are two ways to add content to
your prezi:
-
Freestyle:
-
Creating and inserting content and frames
by hand.
-
Guided: using the plus button to insert frames
of content with just a few clicks.
-
Let's start with the guided method.
-
On your screen you'll see a placeholder
with a plus button.
-
You can click and hold to drag and drop
the placeholder to wherever you want to
-
in your prezi.
-
When you're happy with it's position,
click the placeholder again to select
-
which type of content you want to add.
-
You can choose from a bracket frame, a
circle frame, an image, or a video.
-
Let's select a bracket frame, then click
the green tick button to add it to your
-
prezi.
-
In prezi,
-
frames allow you to group content.
Content within a frame can be moved and
-
resized together.
-
Frames are similar to slides because
they are often used as navigation stops
-
within your presentation.
-
But frames are not as restrictive as slides.
-
You can pan across and zoom into
individual content within the frame.
-
Also, unlike slides frames can be different
shapes and sizes enabling you to create
-
a more visually engaging presentation.
-
Now let's add some text within our
bracket frame.
-
To do this you can double click anywhere, and type.
Click OK when you've finished typing
-
to save your text to your prezi.
-
You can manipulate this text using the
zebra transformation tool. Click to select,
-
then move...
-
scale...
-
and rotate...
-
using each section of the zebra.
-
To add more content, you can use the plus
button to the left of the screen.
-
This creates another placeholder you can
position
-
then click to add content.
-
Let's add another bracket frame.
-
Just as before, you can double click to
add some text...
-
Then use the zebra tool to position and
resize.
-
A quick way to see everything you have
added is to click the home icon to
-
the left,
-
prezi automatically zooms out to an
overview. You can also click on the map to
-
the top left to navigate your prezi.
Click on any content to zoom to it.
-
Let's add some images to your frames.
-
To do this, click on the plus button
within each frame,
-
select the image icon,
-
and upload an image of your choice.
-
Images can be positioned and
resized just like text,
-
using the zebra transformation tool.
-
Notice as you add content using the
plus button a thumbnail is added to the sidebar
-
on the left.
-
The order of these thumbnails from top
to bottom
-
shows the path you'll take through your
prezi when you present.
-
You can rearrange the order by dragging
and dropping thumbnails in the sidebar.
-
With your content in place and your path
set, you can press the show button and see how
-
your prezi presentation looks.
-
When you click the forward arrow you'll move
through your prezi in the order of your
-
thumbnails.
-
You can click the home button to show
the overview of your whole presentation...
-
or you can explore free from the set
path. Just click on any content to zoom
-
to it.
-
When you've finished presenting you can click the
end button to make more changes to your
-
prezi.
-
Let's add some title text to our whole
presentation.
-
You can also add freestyle content using
the menu to the top left. For example, you
-
can select the frame button and create
a circle frame for your overview.
-
To add freestyle content as a thumbnail
-
select the path button from the menu and click
on any content to add it to the end of
-
your path.
-
You can show your completed prezi as
before, by clicking on the show button
-
and moving forward
through your path.
-
To recap:
-
Use the plus button to add content
quickly.
-
Use the zebra transformation tool to move,
scale, and rotate any content.
-
Rearrange the thumbnails to set the order
you present your content.
-
Use the top left menu to add freestyle
content to your prezi.
-
Press the show button to present.
