-
0:05 - 0:14(Applause)
-
0:14 - 0:16Thank you Cass, for having me here today.
-
0:16 - 0:19The excitement at CES is always invigorating

-
0:26 - 0:32PlayStation is no stranger to the profound new impact of a breakthrough product

0:32 - 0:34and how it can cause people to rethink what is possible.
-
0:34 - 0:37As many of you are aware,
-
0:37 - 0:40we recently introduced a little product called PlayStation 4
-
0:40 - 0:43to some great fanfare around the world,
-
0:43 - 0:47it quickly became the largest console launched ever,
-
0:47 - 0:50selling over 2.1 million units in just two weeks
-
0:50 - 0:53And today I'm delighted to announce
-
0:53 - 0:59that the cumulative sell through has
now passed 4.2 million units as of December 28th. -
0:59 - 1:06Thank you.
-
1:06 - 1:11The PS4 embodies the type of technological advancement people have come to expect
-
1:11 - 1:15from PlayStation for the past twenty years.
-
1:15 - 1:20While I'm extremely proud of the incredible sophistication of the PS4 hardware,
-
1:20 - 1:25that is the physical and tangible aspects of the most powerful system we've ever created.
-
1:25 - 1:30I'm equally proud of what you can't touch and feel.
-
1:30 - 1:34I'm of course talking about the network that sits at the core of PS4
-

-
2:13 - 2:19In face, Playstation's library of titles is one of the most expensive in the world,
-
2:19 - 2:24filled with memorable experiences that have kept gamers entertained for years
-
2:24 - 2:26As we build the new network, we asked ourselves
-
2:26 - 2:30what if we could unlock Playstation's library of games
-
2:30 - 2:37so that they're instantly available on Playstation devices as well as non-Playstation devices.
-
2:37 - 2:40We've been steadfast in our commitment to make this a reality,
-
2:40 - 2:43and have made incredible advancements
-
2:43 - 2:49towards integrating Gaikai's advanced cloud based technology into our network.
-
2:49 - 2:51The result is nothing short of amazing
-
2:51 - 2:57and makes the beginning of a new era of streamed gaming
-
2:57 - 3:02that eliminates traditional barriers without compromising the quality of gameplay.
-
3:02 - 3:07I'm pleased to announce the new streaming game service Playstation Now

3:07 - 3:11This service will, in the longterm,
provide existing Playstation gamers -
3:11 - 3:16with instant access to the games they love, from previous generations
