Coffee and a chat with Katy, ding.

Now today's video is really
just gonna be me catching you up
-
kind of on what's happening with me
-
and what's been going on.
-
It's been a busy year, I wrote a book,
-
I have never missed an upload
date and I've been uploading
-
two videos a week for a whole
year, another whole year.
-
Also we've been doing live streams
-
and I've been putting
together Patreon videos
-
and I've just been doing a lot
-
and as I'm always telling you,
-
I'm always preaching to
you about taking time
-
and doing self-care and all of the things
-
that are just important in
life I think as a whole,
-
I'm gonna do some of that.
-
And so actually I'm
recording this on a Saturday
-
and Shawn and I leave
tomorrow on Sunday, the 23rd
-
to go back to Washington
to visit my family
-
and to take some vacation time.
-
And so we're gonna be snowboarding
-
and catching up with my family and friends
-
and just hanging out and relaxing
-
so that next year I can come back
-
recharged and excited
because I really have
-
a lot of cool ideas about things
-
that are gonna come to
fruition finally in 2019.
-
One of those being Shawn and I's podcast,
-
I know many of you have
been asking about it
-
and we are still working on it,
-
I just haven't really had
the bandwidth to do more
-
than what I've already been doing.
-
And so, I just wanna let you
know a little bit about that
-
and how I've been feeling
-
because I was afraid I was
getting kinda burned out
-
and you know how I'm
always talking about that
-
and how important it is to take breaks
-
before we're burned out
-
because I wanna keep doing what I do.
-
And so I'm kinda preemptively striking.
-
And so I have bulk filmed all the videos
-
that are gonna happen for the next month
-
so that I don't have
to work on my vacation
-
'cause that's the problem
with YouTube, right?
-
I don't want any of you,
-
I know holidays are super stressful
-
and hard for many of you so know
-
that our whole community
is still here to support
-
and I have tons of videos about
all things holiday related
-
so you can search for those
-
but I just need to take a break too.
-
And so even though I don't
wanna let any of you down,
-
I still have to take care of myself
-
and so I've bulk filmed all of
the videos for the next month
-
and they will be going up as scheduled
-
but I just won't be interacting
as much as I used to.
-
They'll still be released
-
and I'll try to approve any
comments that are being held
-
but for the most part I'm
just gonna depend on you
-
and our community to support one another
-
while I take a much
needed break and vacation.
-
And so for two weeks,
-
I won't really be interacting much at all
-
but I will be on Instagram sharing along
-
my vacation on the YouTube stories,
-
that's a new thing that's
out that I've been utilizing.
-
So if you wanna follow along there,
-
you can see what I'm up
to and where I'm going.

So yeah, that's really it.
-
I mean I don't really know
what else to share with you
-
other than I'm just trying to take a break
-
so that next year I
can come back recharged
-
and with fresh eyes and hopefully
-
we can take the channel
in a really cool direction
-
because I really enjoy educating
-
and I want everything
to be really engaging
-
and I'm just trying to challenge myself
-
to do that in new ways.
-
And I've been talking a
lot about wanting to do
-
the this is what depression
-
or this is what anxiety feels
like kind short film ideas
-
but I just haven't had the
time to even consider those,
-
put those into scripts or
however people even do that,
-
I don't do that kind of thing
-
so I just haven't had a chance
really to do any of that.
-
And so taking a break will
really allow me the time
-
and the brain space to
come up with those ideas
-
and develop those ideas and
hopefully you guys see it
-
and feel it when I get back.
-
But thank you so much

This has been a crazy and amazing year,

the community has grown a lot
-

because as I've been saying
for over seven years now,

with your experience and my expertise,
-
we will keep working together
-
towards a healthy mind and a healthy body.

And I'm just really excited
to see what's to come in 2019.
