I personally think of myself as being very unique,

Like...

A very unique...

How can I put it?

I'm aware that I live a very unique life.

The band started when I was in middle school.

Until I grew up,

the band was the center of my life.

When you're writing songs,

standing on stage,

you think about

what you want to convey, right?

It's only natural.

This job requires you to always keep thinking those things, right?

I think so.

I've been in a band since I was in middle school,

which is something I'm in a minority for.

How you live your life,

or what your family situation is like...

For example, there are times when

you're not able to like something in the same way as others.

You're like, "Ah, I like something that's different from others."

Yeah, like...

If I had a normal kind of life,

I would often be in the minority for many things.

That's why I want to understand the feelings of those in the minority

in different aspects.

I feel like I've been unconsciously conscious of the fact

that many ordinary things have different kinds of patterns to them.

That may be why, when making songs,

I have a desire to make or send forth things

without forgetting that there are all kinds of different people.

I really do think that.

That's why I really want to affirm all kinds of people

and make these songs while going about my daily life.

I think all of the band members feel the same.

I don't know in detail what the person who asked this feels about me.

But basically,

[my mindset] may be based on me wanting to affirm all kinds of things.

"You might not like being asked this,

but until what age do you want to be the drummer of SCANDAL?"

I haven't decided at all.

I don't think I decide on anything based on age.

I really don't know what I want to be by some age.

I'm not conscious of it.

But I always think that the band can get better and better,

and that the four of us can do something newer and more interesting.

That's why I've always thought that who we are in the present moment is always the best version of us.

We'll be even better versions of ourselves in the future, more than we are in the present time.

I want to experience it

and see it for myself.

That's why all of us want to keep playing music together for as long as possible.

So, I want to keep going as far as we can go.
