Here are some signs that someone else may be using your account

Your Yahoo Mail account has been sending spam

There are emails in your Sent folder that you didnt' send

You send messages but aren't getting any replies

Your account log shows strange login activity

Account information has been deleted or changed without your approval

If you see any of these symptoms, change your password!!

Start from the Yahoo home page

Click your name
-
Or start from another Yahoo page

Click the gear icon

Select Account Info

You may be asked to re-enter your password

If so, type your current password and click Sign In
-
Now you can see your account information
-
Click Account security
-
Click Change password
-
Enter your new password
-
Your new password must be between 8 and 32 characters long
-
It cannot be a single character repeated and cannot contain your name or your Yahoo ID
-
It cannot be the same as or similar to a password you've used before
-
Don't use the same password that you use on another site!

Enter your new password again to confirm it
-
Secure your account
-
Verify your account recovery information

Is this information correct for your account??

Yes? Then no problem!

No? You need to fix it!

Be sure there's at least one mobile device associated with your account so we can send you a text message if you need help

Add valid numbers

Delete any incorrect or obsolete numbers

Also be sure that your alternate email information is correct

These should be non-Yahoo addresses where you can receive email in case you can't access your Yahoo Mail account

Add valid addresses

Delete any invalid email addresses
