Speaker 1: Hey guys, so today we're talking about cockroaches again!
-
[sound of disgust]!
-
Wait, wait, why are most of us grossed out by these little guys when we should be thanking
-
these crazy critters?
-
At least people in China are, in fact did you know right now there are over 100 buildings
-
in China that are raising roaches?
-
Why you ask?
-
Because people are making money from selling them of course!
-
A business that makes nothing but money is a cockroach business.
-
I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of cockroaches.
-
There are people who have money and people who raise cockroaches.
-
I know what you're thinking, who would want to buy a thousand cockroaches?
-
I do!
-
It turns out that people aren't just buying them as pets to have crawl around their house
-
or turn into cyber roaches, they're buying them to make medical powder!
-
This is how it works.
-
Farmers boil them.
-
Dry them.
-
Then smash them into a powdered product.
-
Quite sad really, poor little guys.
-
But you can't blame them.
-
Surprisingly, researchers are looking into whether chemicals in cockroach powder can
-
help cure hair loss, cancer, and even HIV!
-
Cockroaches are amazing!
-
Period.
-
So it's no wonder humans want some of that mojo!
-
Did you know cockroaches can hold their breath for up to 30 minutes?
-
Run up to 3 miles per hour?
-
Can live over a week with no problems?
-
And they can even breathe!
-
Cockroaches are not only weak without their head, they like beer, and originated more
-
than 250 million years ago!
-
If you need a reference, hit up my boy Wang Fu Ming, he currently has a farm with over
-
10 million roaches!
-
Wow!
-
Blows my mind it does!
