  • 0:09 - 0:16
    Al-Bayan, Discourses on the Qur'an
    by Javed Ahmad Ghamidi
  • 0:17 - 0:24
    Surah Aal i Imran
    Aayaat 77 to 91.
  • 0:25 - 0:28
    Gratitude is only for God,
    the Lord of the World,
  • 0:28 - 0:31
and may His peace and mercy
    be on Muhammad, the trustworthy.
  • 0:31 - 0:33
    I seek refuge with God
    from the accursed Devil.
  • 0:33 - 0:36
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious,
    the Ever Merciful.
  • 0:36 - 0:40
Ladies and Gentlemen, We are beginning
the study of Surah Aal I Imran
  • 0:40 - 0:42
from verse 77 in the Quran.
  • Not Synced
In the preceding verses of the Quran,
it states that jews are mistaken
  • Not Synced
for any special place reserved for
them by Allah, due to which
  • Not Synced
    they consider themselves superior
    to others.
  • Not Synced
And that the jews are wrong in saying
that God has kept them free
  • Not Synced
of any responsibility as compared to
    the Ishmaelites.
  • Not Synced
The Quran, addressing the jews clarified
that any rank given by Allah is only for
  • Not Synced
those who fulfills the covenant, and act
    in accordance with the covenant
  • Not Synced
at any cost; the Quran interprets it as
    Taqwa (fear of God).
  • Not Synced
Those who will act like this will be pious
and devout, and God loves to be friends
  • Not Synced
with the pious people. Those who disregard
the promise to Allah or cross the limit
  • Not Synced
shamelessly claim to be God fearing
    and pious people.
  • Not Synced
They are just living in their imaginations
    and have no relevance.
  • Not Synced
This is what was stated in the preceding
    verses of the Quran.
  • Not Synced
    Innallazeena yashtaroona bi aahdilleahi
  • Not Synced
Indeed, those who trade Allah’s covenant
and their oaths for a fleeting gain.
  • Not Synced
In the earlier verse, it was mentioned
    that who are the pious
  • Not Synced
    and God fearing people…
  • Not Synced
Now, the Quran states that those
    who trade Allah’s covenant and
  • Not Synced
their oaths for a fleeting gain.
  • Not Synced
What is intended from this covenant?
  • Not Synced
It is evident that it is with regard to
covenant asked from jews in relation
  • Not Synced
to God’s Shariah (Islamic Law) and the
    advent of the Prophet (pbuh).
  • Not Synced
And with respect to the oaths; it is
mentioned in context to the oaths
  • Not Synced
by the jews to the Prophets and in specific
to help and support Prophet (pbuh).
  • Not Synced
These oaths will be explicitly stated
    in verse 81,
  • Not Synced
we will learn about them when we
read, as to what oaths did they take.
  • Not Synced
    Innallazeena yashtaroona bi aahdilleahi
    va aymeanihim samanan kaaleelan
  • Not Synced
Indeed, those who trade Allah’s covenant
and their oaths for a fleeting gain.
  • Not Synced
The Quran stated that, they think of
    themselves as beloved to God,
  • Not Synced
    while trading Allah’s covenant and
    oaths for fleeting gains.
  • Not Synced
uleaika lea haalaakaa lahum feel eahıraati
  • Not Synced
No matter how religiously they present
themselves, and think that they are
  • Not Synced
superior to others, they will have no
    share in the Hereafter.
  • Not Synced
Those who keep Allah’s covenant and
oaths, the ones who have honest affairs
  • Not Synced
and act in accordance with the law
    of religion.
  • Not Synced
They are the ones who have a share
    in the Hereafter.
  • Not Synced
uleaika lea haalaakaa lahum feel eahıraati
  • Not Synced
The misconception that the jews have
that they are the beloved people of God
  • Not Synced
and that they will be specially treated…
  • Not Synced
In Fact there is no doubt that jews are
    a special group of people
  • Not Synced
as is stated in the Quran. Jews were
chosen by God, given a rank
  • Not Synced
and responsibility. Even after all this
the Quran states that the rank given
  • Not Synced
to the jews was based on merit, it
was given with a purpose and
  • Not Synced
has its own limitations. However, it is
not like; jews will forever enjoy the rank
  • Not Synced
and its status - whereas do no good to
    the responsibility delegated to them.
  • Not Synced
There is no possibility of it. uleaika lea
    haalaakaa lahum feel eahıraati
  • Not Synced
they are the ones who will have no share
    in the Hereafter.
  • Not Synced
    va lea yukallimuhumulleahu Allah will
    not speak to them
  • Not Synced
    on the Day of resurrection.
  • Not Synced
They are the ones who are rejected
    in the court of Allah…
  • Not Synced
In reality this is the outcome of
Laanath (Driven out of Gods mercy).
  • Not Synced
In our terminology Laanat is used as
    an abusive term,
  • Not Synced
but it actually means to drive out
    someone from Gods mercy.
  • Not Synced
    Yukallimuhumulleahu Allah will not
    speak to them on the
  • Not Synced
Day of resurrection va lea yanzuru
    ilayhim yavmal kıyeamati and
  • Not Synced
God will not look at them with kindness
    on the Day of Resurrection.
  • Not Synced
Like you say, God will not even like to
see them or look at them with kindness.
  • Not Synced
va lea yuzakkeehim And God will not
    exonerate them of their sins
  • Not Synced
va lahum aazeabun aleem and for
them there is a painful torment.
  • Not Synced
As the Quran states that they will not
    be exonerated of their sins.
  • Not Synced
What is the meaning of it?
  • Not Synced
It means that they have committed grave
offences for which there is little scope
  • Not Synced
    of punishment and reward.
  • Not Synced
It is evident from the verse that when
    the sins are so grave…
  • Not Synced
May Allah guide us towards good, so that
every Muslim may enter the paradise
  • Not Synced
    in the very first instance.
  • Not Synced
From this verse we understand that there
    can be certain transgressions that
  • Not Synced
are beyond the scope of punishment
    and reward.
  • Not Synced
If an individual can not rectify his
    offenses through good deeds,
  • Not Synced
Allah removes the remnants of any
    wrongdoing by a punishment,
  • Not Synced
because it is necessary to enter heaven
    unpolluted. Quran mentioned that
  • Not Synced
they will not even ascertain this
    chastity.
  • Not Synced
va lahum aazeabun aleem for them
    there is a painful torment.
  • Not Synced
It is evident from this verse that,
how big a sin it is?
  • Not Synced
    to break Allah’s Covenant, willingly
deny the truth and oaths with Allah.
  • Not Synced
This is the level of this wrongdoing in
respect of the Prophet (pbuh) and
  • Not Synced
it is no else an offense in any other
    circumstances.
  • Not Synced
The Quran has explicitly detailed it out.
  • Not Synced
The Quran has made an analogy in the
last two verses and stated that,
  • Not Synced
    in normal circumstances the jews
    degraded themselves,
  • Not Synced
that is the reason here in case they
came to a point of Allah’s covenant
  • Not Synced
and their oaths for a fleeting gain.
  • Not Synced
    Therefore, morality among people can
    have Allah’s mercy and kindness,
  • Not Synced
if these people will have good intentions,
    true faith in God,
  • Not Synced
try to be a devout Muslim and not deny
    the truth by God,
  • Not Synced
    but commited certains other offences.
  • Not Synced
In that case, a glad tiding was received
that Allah would warn and punish them
  • Not Synced
but eventually wash them of their
    transgressions.
  • Not Synced
And then they can enter into heaven.
  • Not Synced
This is what has been explained in
    the Hadiths.
  • Not Synced
This is the real crux, but many-a-times
    the narrators try to portray
  • Not Synced
this in a very different style, which
    changes its real meaning.
  • Not Synced
This is what the Quran has explained.
  • Not Synced
The Quran states that Va inna minhum la
    fareekaan yalvoona alsinatahum bil kiteabi
  • Not Synced
And most surely there is a party of them
    (people of the Book)
  • Not Synced
who distort the Book with their tongues
that you may consider it to be of the Book
  • Not Synced
li taahsaboohu minal kiteabi va mea
    huva minal kiteab(kiteabi)
  • Not Synced
you may think it is from the book, but it
    is not from the book.
  • Not Synced
Just imagine to what extent people
    can go.
  • Not Synced
If you try to connect it with the previous
    verses,
  • Not Synced
you will understand that these words
    carry extreme displeasure and
  • Not Synced
hate from Allah towards these people.
  • Not Synced
How Allah gave them a status and
    treated them accordingly…
  • Not Synced
    indeed they deserved this punishment.
  • Not Synced
As Allah explains, that neither he would
look down on them with kindness,
  • Not Synced
    nor speak to them.
  • Not Synced
Infact Allah mentions that he will not
even purify them of their sins
  • Not Synced
so that they could enter heaven.
  • Not Synced
They will live in this torment forever.
  • Not Synced
If you try to understand their status,
  • Not Synced
I even gave an example to help you
    understand that when the
  • Not Synced
wives of the Prophet (pbuh) were chosen
    for this status,
  • Not Synced
it was explicitly made clear that now
    their reward and
  • Not Synced
    punishment both are doubled,
  • Not Synced
i.e., when you are chosen for a position
and you decide to take up the charge,
  • Not Synced
then you must be ready to take up the
    responsibilities that may arise.
  • Not Synced
    The Quran says:
  • Not Synced
    There are some among them…
  • Not Synced
Its is obvious that is related to
    the interpretation that if they
  • Not Synced
    want to save themselves from
    responsibilities
  • Not Synced
of the covenants of God, then how do
    they distort the Book?
  • Not Synced
There are two aspects of it.
  • Not Synced
One you alter the book and its meaning.
  • Not Synced
The other aspect is that, since majority
    of the people are illiterate,
  • Not Synced
therefore, you distort the book with
    mere tongues and
  • Not Synced
change the meaning of the verse
    in its entirety,
  • Not Synced
i.e., you did not alter the words but
distorted the meaning with your tongue,
  • Not Synced
that is what has been mentioned here.
  • Not Synced
    There are people who…
  • Not Synced
    yalvoona alsinatahum bil kiteabi
  • Not Synced
There are some among them who
distort the Book with their tongues
  • Not Synced
li taahsaboohu minal kiteabi to make
    you think this ˹distortion˺
  • Not Synced
is from the Book va mea huva minal
kiteab but it is not what the Book says.
  • Not Synced
va yakooloona hu va min indilleahi that
you may consider it to be
  • Not Synced
    of the Book from God,
  • Not Synced
va mea huva min indilleah even though
    it is not from God.
  • Not Synced
    va yakooloona aalealleahil kaziba va
    hum yaa’lamoon(yaa’lamoona
  • Not Synced
And they speak untruth about Allah
    while they know.
  • Not Synced
The crime that has been mentioned here
    has been perpetrated
  • Not Synced
by both jews and christians. In the
    earlier chapter of Al-Bakara,
  • Not Synced
it was detailed out how jews and
    christains alters the meaning
  • Not Synced
of the word MARWA with their tongues.
  • Not Synced
The word “Marwa” was used when
    Prophet Abraham (pbuh) was asked
  • Not Synced
to sacrifice Prophet Ismael, his son.
  • Not Synced
Apart from other alterations to this
incident of sacrifice not only did the jews
  • Not Synced
add the name of Prophet Isaac but also
ruined the pronunciation of the word Marwa.
  • Not Synced
So, this is the type of alteration that has
been mentioned here in this verse,
  • Not Synced
that you alter the meaning of a word in
    order to divert people's attention
  • Not Synced
to a different topic while concealing the
real meaning. In order to conceal
  • Not Synced
the fact that Prophet Abraham (pbuh)
    came to Arab,
  • Not Synced
build the house of God, his lineage was
floriesed in the soil and also
  • Not Synced
    about the incident of Ismael’s
    sacrifice, therefore,
  • Not Synced
anticipating the outcomes of how it
could relate to the advent of Prophet (pbuh),
  • Not Synced
    jews manipulated the word Marwa.
  • Not Synced
This is an example of how they concealed
    the facts in history,
  • Not Synced
so as to disassociate the relation of
Prophet Abraham with the house of God.
  • Not Synced
This is just an example that
    I have quoted…
  • Not Synced
This is what has been explained here…
  • Not Synced
It is explained that even in the case
    of the Prophet (pbuh),
  • Not Synced
when they are unfair, they can go
    down to any level.
  • Not Synced
People used to go to the
    Prophet (pbuh)...
  • Not Synced
    when the Quran repeatedly mentioned
    about the foretelling,
  • Not Synced
people used to go to the Prophet (pbuh)
    and
  • Not Synced
ask him about the foretelling mentioned
    in the Quran.
  • Not Synced
This is how the Quran has captured the
    scene of what their
  • Not Synced
    religious leaders used to do.
  • Not Synced
This is what has been mentioned
    in the Quran,
  • Not Synced
that they would distort the real facts
and alter the meaning of it,
  • Not Synced
to convey it as the book of God, but
it is not from the book.
  • Not Synced
They would give you and impression,
that it is from the book of God,
  • Not Synced
when it is not. The Quran stated:
    Mea keana li basharin an
  • Not Synced
    yu’tiyahulleahul kiteaba val hukma
    van nubuvvata summa yakoola
  • Not Synced
lin neasi koonoo ıbeadan lee min
    doonilleahi It is not appropriate
  • Not Synced
for someone who Allah has blessed
    with the Scripture, wisdom,
  • Not Synced
and prophethood to say to people,
  • Not Synced
    “Worship me instead of Allah.”
  • Not Synced
    yu’tiyahulleahul kiteaba val hukma
  • Not Synced
It is not appropriate for someone who
Allah has blessed with his command,
  • Not Synced
wan nubuvvata and bestow him with
    prophethood summa yakoola
  • Not Synced
lin neasi koonoo ıbeadan lee min
doonilleahi “Worship me instead of Allah.”
  • Not Synced
How is it possible? Since, Christians are
    addressed in this verse,
  • Not Synced
How is it possible that God send down
    his book to the Christians,
  • Not Synced
and guided them as to decide in the
    religious matter in accordance
  • Not Synced
with the book of God and even appointed
from them for the status of prophethood.
  • Not Synced
And instead of inviting people to worship
    God, how could they propagate
  • Not Synced
    their own worship instead?
    How is it possible?
  • Not Synced
God says, it cannot be. Christian cannot
say: koonoo ıbeadan lee min doonilleahi
  • Not Synced
Be servants to me apart from Allah,
    No!
  • Not Synced
va leakin koonoo raabbeaniyyeena bi mea
    kuntum tuaallimoonal kiteaba
  • Not Synced
but rather say “be Godly servants”.
  • Not Synced
Why would he (christian) ask you to
be his servant, rather he would ask you
  • Not Synced
    to be raabbeani (Godly servants).
  • Not Synced
    The word raabbeani means worshipper
    of God (Godly servants).
  • Not Synced
Same is the meaning of Maulvi in
    our society.
  • Not Synced
It is indeed a beautiful word, but a
    wrong interpretation
  • Not Synced
    leads us to this place.
  • Not Synced
Infact, we learn from the Quran that the
    religious scholars of christians were
  • Not Synced
    reffered to as “Rabbanni”.
  • Not Synced
Like we use the term “Mualivi” for our
    religious leaders,
  • Not Synced
its roots are in the word “Maula”.
  • Not Synced
Similarly, Rabbani word in rooted in
    the word “Rab”.
  • Not Synced
So, this word was used in context of
    worshipper of God, Godly servants.
  • Not Synced
The Quran say: This is what the Prophet
    would preach.
  • Not Synced
The Quran also mentions that the Prophet
    would never mention as
  • Not Synced
to a specific number of people to
    become Maulvi (religious scholar) or
  • Not Synced
Rabbani (worshipper of God). He would
    invite everyone to worship God.
  • Not Synced
    bi mea kuntum tuaallimoonal kiteaba
    but [instead, he would say],
  • Not Synced
"Be pious scholars of the Lord because
    of what you have taught
  • Not Synced
of the Scripture and because of what
    you have studied."
  • Not Synced
    va bimea kuntum tadrusoon
  • Not Synced
but he will surely say, “Be sincere
    worshippers of Allah,
  • Not Synced
because you teach the Book and
    you preach from it.”
  • Not Synced
    Va lea ya’murakum an tattahizool
    maleaikata van nabiyyeena arbeabea
  • Not Synced
And he would never ask you to take angels
    and prophets as lords.
  • Not Synced
He would never ask you. he would never
ask you to take angels and
  • Not Synced
prophets as lords. a ya’murukum bil kufri
    baa’da iz antum muslimoon
  • Not Synced
Would he ask you to disbelieve after
    you have submitted?
  • Not Synced
The Quran, while addressing the common
    sense of jews, christians and
  • Not Synced
even quraish of mecca, rather everyone
made aware of the fact that the Prophets
  • Not Synced
only call to Iman which commands
    worshiping Allah Alone without partners.
  • Not Synced
And if you ever come across something
    like this,
  • Not Synced
never accept it to be from a legitimate
    source.
  • Not Synced
After going through something like this,
you must be well aware that
  • Not Synced
this is nothing but the alteration of the
    meaning and verses
  • Not Synced
    by people who went astray.
  • Not Synced
No Prophet can invite you to this
    sort of religion.
  • Not Synced
Look how there is an assay-balance
    explained in the Quran.
  • Not Synced
The one who hasthe book of God, the
one who has been blessed with
  • Not Synced
the abilities to better comprehend and
    decide on religious matters in
  • Not Synced
accordance with the book of God.
  • Not Synced
The one who would be stationed at the
    position of prophethood.
  • Not Synced
What would he say to the people?
  • Not Synced
He would always guide people that invite
    them to the right path
  • Not Synced
of Tawhid (oneness of God). Only Tawhid,
    nothing more than that.
  • Not Synced
He would never ask people to submit
and worship him instead of God.
  • Not Synced
He would never boast about himself.
  • Not Synced
The one having the knowledge of the
    book would never exaggerate
  • Not Synced
    and boast about the angels
    and Prophets.
  • Not Synced
He would only invite you to say one thing
and that tawheed, the Oneness of God.
  • Not Synced
Allah says in the Quran, If you come
    across anything that is contrary
  • Not Synced
to the oneness of God, then that is not
from God, but fabrication of the message.
  • Not Synced
It is not possible that after inviting you
to Islam and the oneness of God,
  • Not Synced
the prophet word then ask you to
    make partners with God.
  • Not Synced
It does not possible that the Prophet
    would first invite you
  • Not Synced
to the religion of God that is Islam and
then asked you to worship him instead.
  • Not Synced
It is not possible that first the Prophet
    (pbuh) would invite you to
  • Not Synced
the oneness of God and then ask you
    to worship him.
  • Not Synced
This was the equilibrium that was put
    forth to the jews,
  • Not Synced
if you read Torah, Bible even today,
    you will find them supporting
  • Not Synced
the oneness of God in entirety.
  • Not Synced
    You can better comprehend this
    statement which is explained
  • Not Synced
here in context, only when you will
    understand that since,
  • Not Synced
you have the books of your Prophets
with you. Do you ever see that
  • Not Synced
the Prophet is inviting people to
    worship him?
  • Not Synced
Or give the status of God to someone?
  • Not Synced
Then how do you believe in it? if Jesus
himself propagated the Oneness of God,
  • Not Synced
stressed on Iman and good deeds,
and make this as a foundation
  • Not Synced
of invitation towards the right path.
  • Not Synced
Even after thousands of years Torah,
  • Not Synced
    revealed by Prophet Moses (pbuh)
    preachers the same facts
  • Not Synced
about the Oneness of God, how is it
    possible than
  • Not Synced
when the religious scholars try to
    explain the preaching
  • Not Synced
of the book of God, how can they ask people
to worship the Prophet (pbuh) instead of God?
  • Not Synced
This is what has been stressed over
    here.
  • Not Synced
Is it possible that first the Prophet
(pbuh) would work hard all his life
  • Not Synced
to invite people to the religion Islam and
then ask them to submit to him
  • Not Synced
    and worship him instead?
  • Not Synced
It is not possible, When you analyze two
aspects of it, one what the Prophet (pbuh)
  • Not Synced
taught us and second what is being done
    after the Prophet (pbuh),
  • Not Synced
you will gain a deeper understanding
    of it.
  • Not Synced
This is what is being explained
    over here.
  • Not Synced
This is what is being stated in the Quran:
  • Not Synced
    a ya’murukum bil kufri baa’da iz antum
    muslimoon,
  • Not Synced
the Prophet (pbuh) invited people towards
    the religion of Islam,
  • Not Synced
    towards the onesness of God.
  • Not Synced
Even today this invitation towards the
    right path is clearly stated
  • Not Synced
in the book of God. Then did the Prophet
    (pbuh) proclaim that he has
  • Not Synced
attained Godly powers, or there are
    some attributes of God
  • Not Synced
    that are manifested in him?
  • Not Synced
Did the Prophet (pbuh) ever announce
that he has received the divine powers?
  • Not Synced
When did the Prophet (pbuh) ever say
something like this that you are saying
  • Not Synced
to people after He is gone?
  • Not Synced
This is what has been mentioned
    in the Quran.
  • Not Synced
You will better comprehend this when
    you will compare the
  • Not Synced
meaning of the word muslimoon with
    ya’murukum bil kufri.
  • Not Synced
How is it possible? When the Prophet
    (pbuh) himself proclaimed
  • Not Synced
about the oneness of God and stood
    by it throughout His life.
  • Not Synced
How is it possible that He might have
    said something of this sort,
  • Not Synced
that you claim the Prophet (pbuh) has
    mentioned about his own divinity.
  • Not Synced
How is it possible that the Prophet (pbuh)
    first presented himself
  • Not Synced
as the servant of God and preached
    about Iman and Tawhiid,
  • Not Synced
as in accordance with the verses of
    the Quran.
  • Not Synced
And then in no time we came to
know different stories of a completely
  • Not Synced
    different perspective about the Prophet
(pbuh) attaining the virtue of divinity.
  • Not Synced
While inviting people to Islam, was the
    Prophet (pbuh) asking people
  • Not Synced
to unbelief after they became Muslim.
  • Not Synced
This is what has been mentioned in this
    term a ya’murukum bil kufri baa’da
  • Not Synced
iz antum muslimoon Would he ask you
to disbelieve after you have submitted?
  • Not Synced
The Messenger of Allah can never do
    something like this.
  • Not Synced
The Prophet (pbuh) only invites people
    to Tawhiid and preaches about
  • Not Synced
the oneness of God till the end.
  • Not Synced
    Va iz ahaazaalleahu meeseakaan nabiyyeena
  • Not Synced
[O Prophet! Remind them of the time]
    When Allah took the Covenant
  • Not Synced
    from them regarding the prophets.
  • Not Synced
    Va iz ahaazaalleahu meeseakaan
    nabiyyeena
  • Not Synced
When Allah took the Covenant from
    them regarding the prophets.
  • Not Synced
What was the Covenant? lamea eataytukum
    min kiteabin va hikmatin.
  • Not Synced
Allah says in the Quran that: I have
given you the Shariyat (Islamic Laws)
  • Not Synced
    and the Wisdom. summa ceaakum
    rasoolun
  • Not Synced
then a Rasul (Messenger) comes to you.
  • Not Synced
Allah took the Covenant from them
    regarding the prophets,
  • Not Synced
and reminded them of who they are,
giving them the Book and the Wisdom.
  • Not Synced
In other words, after explaining all the
    content, Allah mentions that
  • Not Synced
he has given them his religion,
    i.e., Islam.
  • Not Synced
There was a possibility of deviating
from the right path only when there
  • Not Synced
would have been no clear guidance
    from God.
  • Not Synced
As the Quran says: It is possible that
    someone might not have
  • Not Synced
received God’s guidance or the book,
    and in that case
  • Not Synced
    if there is any misunderstanding.
  • Not Synced
Here it is introduced in a way, that when
Allah took the Covenant from you
  • Not Synced
    regarding the Prophets, and raised
    you as a Umma.
  • Not Synced
Do you remember what you were bestowed
    upon from God?
  • Not Synced
He gave you the light of his religion…
  • Not Synced
The Quran has mentioned a lot of places
    that the religion is composed
  • Not Synced
of only two things, one Shariyat (Islamic
    Laws) and Hikmmat (wisdom).
  • Not Synced
    What does wisdom mean?
  • Not Synced
Wisdom is to do with faith and morality.
  • Not Synced
    In philosophical terminology you interpret
    it as metaphysics and ethics.
  • Not Synced
In reality the religion is to do with both
    metaphysics and ethics,
  • Not Synced
and serve as the foundation for developing
laws. And those laws are known as Shariyat
  • Not Synced
The Quran states that: you were given
both the Shariyat and the Wisdom
  • Not Synced
and then you were asked to take
    an oath.
  • Not Synced
    summa jeaakum rasoolun,
  • Not Synced
if a Rasul (Messenger) comes to you
    musaaddikun limea maaakum
  • Not Synced
a Rasul (Messenger) comes to you
    confirming that which is
  • Not Synced
    with you (Shariyat, Wisdom that
    Allah had given to you
  • Not Synced
and the predictions about the coming
of a Prophet) and comes to you
  • Not Synced
    confirming that then what would
    you do?
  • Not Synced
la tu’minunna bihee you must definitely
believe in him va la taansurunnahu
  • Not Synced
and you must definitely help him.
  • Not Synced
Therefore, this was the covenant that
    Allah took from the Israelites.
  • Not Synced
Though ordinary words are used in this
    covenant viz; when
  • Not Synced
a Rasul (Messenger) comes, it is amply
clear that it is pointing out towards
  • Not Synced
    the Prophet (pbuh).
  • Not Synced
In Fact they were part of this covenant
even in the times of other prophets
  • Not Synced
that used to come to them.
  • Not Synced
But this was a special oath in relation
    to the Prophet (pbuh),
  • Not Synced
as is mentioned in their books that he
    would not bring about
  • Not Synced
a new religion all together, but confirm
the relation that is already in practice.
  • Not Synced
It is your own problem that you denied
    something that was already present
  • Not Synced
and the Prophet (pbuh) was only
    confirming about the religion
  • Not Synced
    that was already with you.
  • Not Synced
You took up the heavy responsibility
    of that Covenant,
  • Not Synced
but when you had to confirm.
  • Not Synced
You denied having any such oath and
    did not confirm.
  • Not Synced
    It is a crime.
  • Not Synced
As Jesus says: the bridegrooms wait
for their brides throughout the night
  • Not Synced
and when the time is near, they
    do not wait.
  • Not Synced
    This responsibility was shouldered
    by you.
  • Not Synced
Allah says, [remind them] Allah took
    the Covenant about the Prophets,
  • Not Synced
and the covenant was that whenever
    any of God’s Prophet would
  • Not Synced
    come musaaddikun limea maaakum
a Rasul (Messenger) would come to you
  • Not Synced
confirming about what is already with
you (Shariyat, Wisdom that Allah had
  • Not Synced
given to you and the predictions about
the coming of a Prophet in Torah
  • Not Synced
and Bible) and comes to you confirming
that must definitely believe in him,
  • Not Synced
    you must definitely help him.
  • Not Synced
Kala a aakraartum va ahaaztum aalea
    zealikum ısree Allah said:
  • Not Synced
“Do you agree and accept (My Oath)”? To
    understand this verse,
  • Not Synced
we should consult Bible and Torah.
  • Not Synced
    Whenever these covenants were
    taken from them,
  • Not Synced
every time they were asked to confirm,
    you will transfer this knowledge
  • Not Synced
to you next generation and spread the
    word among people.
  • Not Synced
Prophet Moses (pbuh) used to take this
    oath with due planning.
  • Not Synced
Allah asked: Kaalu, and what did your
    ancestors answer to that?
  • Not Synced
    Aakraarnea (They) said: “We agree”.
  • Not Synced
keala fashhadoo Then bear witness va ana
    maaakum minash sheahideen (Allah) said:
  • Not Synced
“Then bear witness and I am of the bearers
    of witness with you”.
  • Not Synced
Fa man tavallea baa’da zealika fa uleaika
    humul feasikoon Whoever therefore
  • Not Synced
turns back after this (denies the Messenger
that will come after the Prophets),
  • Not Synced
they are the Fâsiqûn (those who are not
in the Way of Allah or
  • Not Synced
have gone out of it, transgressors).
  • Not Synced
Allah reminds them of this is how, they
    were asked to asked
  • Not Synced
to follow the Prophet (pbuh) and help
him in his cause of religion.
  • Not Synced
This covenant was taken in relation to
    all the Prophets of God,
  • Not Synced
but here in case the Quran is pointing
    out towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
  • Not Synced
I reiterate what i mentioned earlier, these
words Fa man tavallea baa’da zealika
  • Not Synced
that even after this, if someone turns
back after this (denies the Messenger
  • Not Synced
that will come after the Prophets) then
there is no doubt that they
  • Not Synced
are the Fasiqun (those who are not in
the Way of Allah or transgressors).
  • Not Synced
The meaning of Fasiqun in the Quranic
    terminology is disobedient.
  • Not Synced
Even after making it clear and taking the
Covenant from them regarding the Prophets.
  • Not Synced
Even then you are hell bent towards
    this attitude...
  • Not Synced
If you read Bible you will come to know
that the Israelites leaders are assembled
  • Not Synced
in a place and different group of people
    join them,
  • Not Synced
they are all assembled in a place of
    worship, Prophet Moses (pbuh)
  • Not Synced
first explained the oath well and only
    after that took their consent.
  • Not Synced
He Instructed them to bear witness and
know the consequences of this life
  • Not Synced
and the hereafter if any one of them
turns their back to the covenant.
  • Not Synced
    Covenant about the rewards and
    punishments from Allah,
  • Not Synced
about Shariah and Prophets are taken in
    the same way.
  • Not Synced
What a state of remorse it is for the
    Israelites that Allah reminds them
  • Not Synced
how he took oath from them and still
    you are denying that covenant.
  • Not Synced
    A fa gaayra deenilleahi yabgoona.
  • Not Synced
Allah says in the Quran: Prophets used to
    come in the same way;
  • Not Synced
the way in which they have covenants
    with Allah.
  • Not Synced
The Prophet (pbuh) came in the same
    way as well.
  • Not Synced
Prophets came to fulfill those covenants
    that you promised to Allah.
  • Not Synced
Allah says: since they came with the same
    message and religion,
  • Not Synced
then are they looking for some new
    religion altogether?
  • Not Synced
Are they denying it? Now the oneness
    of God,
  • Not Synced
the same truth, book and wisdom.
  • Not Synced
You shouldn't have had a speck
    of doubt in it.
  • Not Synced
Now are you denying it and looking for
    a different religion than Islam?
  • Not Synced
va lahoo aslama man fees sameaveati
    val aardı
  • Not Synced
and to Him submit whoever is in the
    heavens and in the earth,
  • Not Synced
    taav’aan va karhan willingly
    and unwillingly,
  • Not Synced
they are bound by his commands, are
    obedient and
  • Not Synced
    are bowed down before God.
  • Not Synced
va ilayhi yurcaoon and to Him shall they
    be returned.
  • Not Synced
Not only God has authority over all of
    the heavens and the earth,
  • Not Synced
whole of this universe has submitted
    to God.
  • Not Synced
There is no scope of his escape in the
    world or hereafter,
  • Not Synced
everything in this universe has submitted
    before God.
  • Not Synced
Quran states that: you have to turn
towards God even in the hereafter.
  • Not Synced
    There is no other way.
  • Not Synced
    Kul eamannea billeahi
  • Not Synced
The Quran Says: “We believe in Allah,
    we believe in God
  • Not Synced
and in the oneness of God. va mea
    unzila aalaynea
  • Not Synced
We believe in what has been sent
    down to us.
  • Not Synced
This is the stage of splendour in the
    Quran, that how beautifully they
  • Not Synced
were recalled of the oath they took
    regarding the Prophets.
  • Not Synced
Now, the Prophet (pbuh) was commandent
to announce that we believe in God
  • Not Synced
and anything that was sent down to us.
  • Not Synced
Now, look how the ancestry of Abraham
    is joined in the context.
  • Not Synced
    va mea unzila aalea ibreaheema
  • Not Synced
We believe in what has been sent
    down to us,
  • Not Synced
and what was sent down to Abraham,
  • Not Synced
wa Ishmael, and what has been sent
    down to Ishmael,
  • Not Synced
va isheakaa va yaa’kooba val asbeatı
    and what has been
  • Not Synced
sent down to Isaac, Jacob and the
    sons of Jacob,
  • Not Synced
va mea ootiya moosea va eesea and
we believe in what was given to
  • Not Synced
    Moses and Jesus. van nabiyyoona
    min raabbihim and
  • Not Synced
whatever was sent down ro the
    Prophets from their Lord,
  • Not Synced
We believe in that. What do we say?
  • Not Synced
    lea nufarriku bayna ahaadin minhum,
  • Not Synced
We do not make any distinction between
any of them, and to Him (Allah).
  • Not Synced
It is not of us that we believe in some
and not others. We do not employ
  • Not Synced
this method based on our suspicion.
  • Not Synced
We do not deny any of God’s instruction,
neither do we refute it in any way.
  • Not Synced
We believe in everything sent down
    to us without any coercion.
  • Not Synced
    lea nufarriku bayna ahaadin minhum,
    va naahnu lahu muslimoon
  • Not Synced
we make no distinction between any
of them, and to Him we ˹fully˺ submit.”
  • Not Synced
The Quran says: Va man yabtagi gaayraal
    isleami deenan.
  • Not Synced
This is Islam, this is the religion
    of Islam.
  • Not Synced
You must understand that Islam is not a
    religion of one Prophet,
  • Not Synced
but all Prophets invited us to the same
    religion of Islam.
  • Not Synced
Islam is the religion of all the Prophets
    including Abraham, Ismael,
  • Not Synced
    Isaac, Moses, Jesus,Jacob and the
    sons of Jacob.
  • Not Synced
All the Propehts brought this religion
    of Islam to the people.
  • Not Synced
And we are the believers of Islam.
  • Not Synced
And anyone who wishes to accept
any other religion apart from Islam.
  • Not Synced
Va man yabtagi gaayraal isleami deenan
    fa lan yukbala minhu,
  • Not Synced
And whoever seeks a religion other
    than Islam (Submission to Allah),
  • Not Synced
it shall not be accepted from him, only
the religion of Islam is accepted
  • Not Synced
in the court of Allah, Islam is the
    religion of all the Prophets
  • Not Synced
and there is no suspicion about it.
  • Not Synced
Truth is evident in the religion of Islam
    with a proper balance.
  • Not Synced
This religion is based on these
    true facts.
  • Not Synced
If someone wants to abandon this
religion and bring about a new religion
  • Not Synced
based on his own suspicion, desires and
innovations then there is no scope
  • Not Synced
of its acceptance in the court of Allah.
  • Not Synced
va huva feel eahiraati minal heasireen.
  • Not Synced
Allah made it clear that Islam is not a
    religion that was introduced
  • Not Synced
by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), try
to understand the lineage of Islam,
  • Not Synced
it is the religion of all the Prophets.
  • Not Synced
    Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) only
came for the Revival of Islam.
  • Not Synced
    Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) came for
    confirmation of Islam.
  • Not Synced
He came for revival of Islam.
  • Not Synced
He rectified the innovations that were
    instilled in Islam.
  • Not Synced
He has presented the religion of Islam.
  • Not Synced
God’s religion has always been Islam.
  • Not Synced
God never revealed a religion specific
    to the Prophets, the religion
  • Not Synced
was the same from the beginning, there
    was no distinction as such.
  • Not Synced
The religion from God was always Islam.
  • Not Synced
Islam is the religion of Allah. Anyone who
denies Islam and adopts any other religion,
  • Not Synced
he must know that God will not accept his
    religion, and in the Hereafter
  • Not Synced
he shall be of the losers.
  • Not Synced
    Kayfa yahdilleahu kaavman kafaroo
    baa’da eemeanihim.
  • Not Synced
The Quran says: How shall Allah
guide (deliver to Hidayet) a person
  • Not Synced
    who disbelieved after their believing,
    compare this verse with the
  • Not Synced
    previous verse where people disbelieved
    after their believed.
  • Not Synced
Do the Prophets of God preach people to
    disbelief once they have already
  • Not Synced
    accepted the truth?
  • Not Synced
Quran says (about them): when you
    developed doubts about the religion,
  • Not Synced
    when you started creating dissension
    in the religion,
  • Not Synced
When you had doubts with regard to
    the Prophets of God.
  • Not Synced
In reality this is Disobedience once you
    have already accepted the truth.
  • Not Synced
How shall Allah guide (deliver to Hidayet)
    a person who disbelieved
  • Not Synced
    after their believing. Muslims wanted
    Him to enjoin them.
  • Not Synced
Quran says: But how can Allah guide them?
  • Not Synced
    va shahidoo annar rasoola haakkun
  • Not Synced
and they have borne witness that
    the Messenger is true,
  • Not Synced
va shahidoo they know it and their
    hearts bear witness that
  • Not Synced
He the Prophet (pbuh), He is true
    Prophet,
  • Not Synced
Even after believing in him, yet they
    are lying.
  • Not Synced
va jeaahumul bayyineat and they have
clear evidences about the Prophet (pbuh).
  • Not Synced
Quran says: vaalleahu lea yahdil kaavmaz
    zealimeen
  • Not Synced
and Allah does not make the unjust people
    attain Guidance (Hidayet).
  • Not Synced
Allah has a special law according to which
    a person is blessed with
  • Not Synced
His blessing and Guidance. It is not the
    way of God,
  • Not Synced
He would not like someone deliberately
    unbelieve after he has believed
  • Not Synced
in the truth and contradict himself
    in suspicion,
  • Not Synced
not willing to hear the truth from God
and it is not possible that Allah
  • Not Synced
would guide them when they are
    already inventing new religion
  • Not Synced
on their own whims and wishes.
  • Not Synced
The law of God for guidance is that
    the person should be
  • Not Synced
a true seeker of truth. Someone who
would want to understand the reality.
  • Not Synced
Who is open to facts and bury his suspicion
    and doubts.
  • Not Synced
One who is elevated from his desires
    to learn about reality.
  • Not Synced
Then of course, God blesses with
    his guidance.
  • Not Synced
Quran states: O Muslim! Do you wish
    guidance for them?
  • Not Synced
How shall Allah guide (deliver to Hidayet)
    a people who disbelieved
  • Not Synced
after their believing and they had borne
witness that the Messenger is true
  • Not Synced
    and the clear evidence had come to them;
    and Allah does not make
  • Not Synced
    the unjust people attain
    Guidance (Hidayet).
  • Not Synced
The Quran has the word unjust in a
connotative sense, “unjust” as in unjust
  • Not Synced
to one's own life or in another aspect
like, being unjust is when someone
  • Not Synced
is doing wrong to someone else
and second, being unjust to yourself.
  • Not Synced
Being unjust to yourself means even after
    believing in the truth,
  • Not Synced
    yet you disbelieve in it.
  • Not Synced
    The Quran states; Uleaika jazeauhum
    anna aalayhim laa’nataalleahi
  • Not Synced
    val maleaikati van neasi ajmaaeen.
  • Not Synced
Their punishment is that upon them
    is the Curse of Allah
  • Not Synced
and the angels and of mankind,
    all together.
  • Not Synced
By all of mankind, it means that on
    the day of resurrection everyone
  • Not Synced
including the good and bad would
    curse on them.
  • Not Synced
Curse by good believers is obvious,
but why would the bad too curse on them?
  • Not Synced
The would say that due to them we
    are in this torment.
  • Not Synced
The bad would also curse on them.
  • Not Synced
All of mankind would curse on them.
  • Not Synced
It further clarifies that the extent of
    curse is actually associated
  • Not Synced
    with the Day of judgement.
  • Not Synced
    Quran says: everyone would curse
    on them.
  • Not Synced
Healideena feehea, and they will abide
    in the curse forever,
  • Not Synced
here it is evident that they would be
    cursed forever in hell.
  • Not Synced
The consequence of this term “Curse”
    is deliberately not express
  • Not Synced
in words because it is its own meaning
    of the term.
  • Not Synced
    Healideena feehea, lea yuhaaffafu
    aanhumul aazeabu
  • Not Synced
the torment will not be lightened from
    them va lea hum yunzaaroon…
  • Not Synced
you can even get an understanding
of it, that this extreme torment
  • Not Synced
would not be lightened from them.
  • Not Synced
They would be in this torment forever.
  • Not Synced
    These verses are for whom?
  • Not Synced
    Those who have deliberately stood
    rebellion to truth even
  • Not Synced
    after believing in it.
  • Not Synced
You can find it at any place, only those
    who disbelief after believing
  • Not Synced
    are addressed in these verse.
  • Not Synced
Committing a sin, having a misunderstanding
    of something, feigned negligence
  • Not Synced
    or intentional connivance are altogether
    a different topic.
  • Not Synced
There are separate laws to deal with
    these things.
  • Not Synced
But when a community or a group comes
    to the stage of disbelieving
  • Not Synced
after they had believed, then they are
    punished for their wrong doing,
  • Not Synced
    and the torment remains forever.
  • Not Synced
    Their punishment is that upon
them (fâsık) is the Curse of Allah
  • Not Synced
and the angels and of the mankind,
  • Not Synced
    all together.Abiding in it (Curse) forever;
  • Not Synced
the torment will not be lightened from
them and they will not be looked at
  • Not Synced
    va lea hum yunzaaroon. Illallazeena
    teaboo min baa’di zealika.
  • Not Synced
    There is still a scope.
  • Not Synced
    People who repent would save
    themselves from this torment,
  • Not Synced
va aaslahoo and rectify their mistakes,
they would be safe from this torment.
  • Not Synced
    They still have the scope,
  • Not Synced
the Quran says: since the Prophet
    is present among them,
  • Not Synced
they must repent and save themselves
    from this torment which
  • Not Synced
    would continue forever.
  • Not Synced
    fa innaalleaha gaafoorun raaheem
  • Not Synced
    surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving,
    Most Merciful.
  • Not Synced
    Innallazeena kafaroo baa’da
    eemeanihim
  • Not Synced
    Surely, those who disbelieve after
    their believing,
  • Not Synced
    summazdeadoo kufraan then increase
    in disbelief,
  • Not Synced
and now when they see their death
    is near and lament
  • Not Synced
    for their wrongdoing. lan tukbala
    tavbatuhum,
  • Not Synced
their (those who fall into Misguidance
    for the third time) repentance
  • Not Synced
will not be accepted va uleaika
    humud dealloon
  • Not Synced
and these are they who are in
    Misguidance.
  • Not Synced
    Innallazeena kafaroo va meatoo
    va hum kuffearun
  • Not Synced
    Surely, those who disbelieve and
    die while they are disbelievers,
  • Not Synced
Quran states that; in order to save
    themselves from this torment,
  • Not Synced
even if they bring the earth full of
    gold shall
  • Not Synced
    Innallazeena kafaroo va meatoo
va hum kuffearun fa lan yukbala
  • Not Synced
    min ahaadihim mil’ul aardı zahaban
    va laviftadea bihe,
  • Not Synced
even if they bring the the earth full
of gold shall not be accepted from
  • Not Synced
one of them uleaika lahum aazeabun
    aleemun they shall have
  • Not Synced
a painful torment va mea lahum min
    neasıreen
  • Not Synced
for them there shall be no helpers.
  • Not Synced
Therefore, it was made clear by the
Quran, that there is no way that
  • Not Synced
they can be released of this painful
    torment.
  • Not Synced
There can be nothing to give and take
    on the Day of judgement,
  • Not Synced
here in context “earth full of gold ”
    interprets there is no scope
  • Not Synced
of bargain or give and take on
    the Day of judgement.
  • Not Synced
And what they say of their elders
    and religious leaders.
  • Not Synced
It is mentioned in the verse that,
there will be no one for intercession
  • Not Synced
    on the Day of judgement.
  • Not Synced
This is the last stage, wherein God
    clarified the law for repentance.
  • Not Synced
Forgiveness is only for those who
    repent on their wrong doing.
  • Not Synced
Who tries to understand the truth.
  • Not Synced
Those who fall astray and ask
    God for forgiveness.
  • Not Synced
Forgiveness is not for those who kept
    disbelieving, those who denied
  • Not Synced
the truth to the last step.
  • Not Synced
And only after seeing the torment is
    near,
  • Not Synced
and then ask for repentance to
    save themselves.
  • Not Synced
This is not among the laws of Allah.
  • Not Synced
And nothing can be of any good on the
    Day of judgement.
  • Not Synced
Even the wealth of this world would be
of no use in the Day of judgement,
  • Not Synced
those who are in this misunderstanding.
  • Not Synced
va mea lahum min neasıreen for them
    there shall be no helpers.
  • Not Synced
Listen to the simple translation to
    these verses.
  • Not Synced
Verily, those who purchase a small
gain at the cost of Allah’s Covenant
  • Not Synced
and their oaths, it is they for whom
there will be no portion in the Hereafter
  • Not Synced
and Allah will not speak to them and
He will not look at them
  • Not Synced
    on the Day of Resurrection.
  • Not Synced
And will not exonerate them and for
them there is a painful torment.
  • Not Synced
And most surely there is a party of them
(people of the Book) who distort the Book
  • Not Synced
with their tongues that you may consider
it to be of the Book and it is not
  • Not Synced
from the Book and they say that it is
    from Allah even though
  • Not Synced
it is not from Allah; and they speak
    a lie against Allah knowingly.
  • Not Synced
It is not (possible) for any human
    being that Allah should give
  • Not Synced
him the Book and the Wisdom and
    the Prophet-hood,
  • Not Synced
then he should say to the mankind:
  • Not Synced
“Be servants to me apart from
    Allah” but rather say:
  • Not Synced
'as learned men of religion by virtue
of your constant study and teaching
  • Not Synced
of the Book onto others’, “be Godly
    servants” (devote yourselves to God)”.
  • Not Synced
And neither would He enjoin you that
    you should take the angels
  • Not Synced
and the prophets for lords; what!
  • Not Synced
Would He enjoin you with the unbelief
after you became Muslimoon (submitted ones).
  • Not Synced
When Allah took the Covenant of the
    Prophets, (He said):
  • Not Synced
"I have given you the Book and the
    Wisdom, then a Rasul (Messenger)
  • Not Synced
comes to you confirming that which is
with you (Books Allah had given to you),
  • Not Synced
you must definitely believe in him and
    you must definitely help him”.
  • Not Synced
Allah said: “Do you agree and
    accept (My Oath)”? (They) said:
  • Not Synced
“We agree”. (Allah) said: “Then bear
witness and I am of the bearers
  • Not Synced
    of witness with you”.
  • Not Synced
    Whoever therefore turns back after
    this (denies the Messenger
  • Not Synced
that will come after the Prophets),
    they are the Fasiqun
  • Not Synced
(those who are not in the Way of Allah
or have gone out of it, transgressors).
  • Not Synced
Is it then other than Allah’s Religion
    that they seek?
  • Not Synced
And to Him submit whoever is in the
heavens and in the earth willingly
  • Not Synced
and unwillingly, and to Him shall they
    be returned.
  • Not Synced
Say: “We believe in Allah and in what
has been sent down to us,
  • Not Synced
and what was sent down to Abraham,
Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the sons of Jacob,
  • Not Synced
and what was given to Moses and Jesus
    and to the prophets from their Lord;
  • Not Synced
We do not make any distinction between
    any of them,
  • Not Synced
and to Him (Allah) we have surrendered”.
  • Not Synced
And whoever seeks a religion other
    than Islam (Submission to Allah),
  • Not Synced
it shall not be accepted from him, and in
the Hereafter he shall be of the losers.
  • Not Synced
How shall Allah guide (deliver to Hidayet)
    a people who disbelieved
  • Not Synced
after their believing and they had
    borne witness that the Messenger
  • Not Synced
is true and the clear evidences had
    come to them;
  • Not Synced
and Allah does not make the unjust
    people attain Guidance (Hidayet).
  • Not Synced
Their punishment is that upon them (Fasik)
is the Curse of Allah and the angels
  • Not Synced
and of the mankind, all together.
  • Not Synced
Abiding in it (Curse) forever; the torment
will not be lightened from them
  • Not Synced
and they will not be looked at.
  • Not Synced
    Except those who afterwards repent
and improve (cleanse their souls’ hearts),
  • Not Synced
then surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
    Merciful.
  • Not Synced
    Surely, those who disbelieve after
    their believing,
  • Not Synced
    then increase in disbelief, their
    (those who
  • Not Synced
fall into Misguidance for the third
time) repentance will not be accepted
  • Not Synced
and these are they who are in
    Misguidance.
  • Not Synced
Surely, those who disbelieve and die
    while they are disbelievers,
  • Not Synced
the earth full of gold shall not be
    accepted from one of them
  • Not Synced
even if he should offer to ransom
    himself with it;
  • Not Synced
these it is who shall have a painful
    torment and for them there
  • Not Synced
    shall be no helpers.
  • Not Synced
I say this saying of mine, and I
    seek forgiveness from Allah
  • Not Synced
for me and for you and for all Muslims.
