Hello everyone out there.

about an article I wrote on our web site

So I've decided to do a video here
where I'll actually read the article

for you or with you, and then I will
comment some of the things I'm writing

and why I say what I'm saying.

First, why did I do an article like this?

Last year, when the movie came out
"American Gospel: Christ Alone",

when that came out we saw it on our
Bible school in Denmark.

We had a training school at that time
in Denmark.

And we saw it with the staff and students
and there were many, many different reactions.

Some people loved it, or, I would say,
everyone loved some of it

and thought that there was really
good the way they said it,

but there were also lot of things
in the movie that really concerned us.

And especially for younger believers,
those who are very new in the faith

and start to walk with God and experience
the life with the Holy Spirit,

those who start to step out in healing
the sick and preaching the gospel,

they got a little confused from the video
because there was something in the video

that was good, but there was also something
that was really missing.

And also the way they look at things.
It almost looks like there are two camps

and it looks like everything that has to do
with what they're doing out there is wrong

and everything that there is on this camp
is right.

But, I don't see it like two camps.
I don't affiliate myself and the movement

with either of those camps. We see ourselves,
somehow, in the middle of all of this.

But I want to read the article for you and
then I want to comment it

while I'm reading it. So, what is missing
in the American gospel movie?

And we start here. Last year, the movie
American Gospel: Christ Alone came out,

and has since gone viral, bringing forth
many discussions, on Facebook, etc.

I would like to share something very
important about the movie and

about the discussions out there.
I share this with fear and trembling,

knowing this most likely will give me
enemies on both sides of the camp.

But I truly love God and I believe this
will help many people out there.

And I want to say that it is really not to
bring forth a fight.

I don't like fights, I don't like conflicts.
I think none of us like it, but we love God.

We love the Word of God.
And we are obligated to share

what God have given us. I have been
going with this for a year.

I've been praying, I've been fasting
and thinking: When is it time for me

to give out a video like this?
When is time to write a text like this?

So, it's not just something I did very
fast. It's something I've really been

considering and praying about
and now I feel it's time to do it.

But I'm not here to just make fight.
I'm here to: Let's go back to the Word of God,

let's try to get off some of those
religious glasses we have on.

I often talk about the religious glasses
on our online "Pioneer School"

there's for free on YouTube,
because we often read people

through glasses so we don't see
the full picture of the gospel,

we don't see the full picture from the
beginning, with the fall of mankind

in the Garden, to the Revelation.

My heart is not to just make discussion.

My heart is: Let's take off those glasses
and let's go and see what the Word

is truly saying.
So, first a little about the movie.

In the movie we see interviews and clips
with many well-known preachers,

such as John Piper, Costi Hinn, Paul Washer,
John MacArthur, Phil Johnson and more,

talking about the gospel and criticizing
some well-known prosperity preachers

like Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes,
Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland and more.

The main cast in the movie though,
are a few less-known people, sharing

how they left the prosperity movement
and its preachers, realizing

they were not preaching the true Gospel.

The whole movie is a big attack on what
is known as the “prosperity gospel”,

or the “name it and claim it gospel”,
and its preachers, who are known

for their focus on money, love message,
and weird theology and practices.

The movie is at the same time a big promotion
for the more hyper-conservative, Calvinistic,

intellectually-oriented church, and its
preachers, as those who hold

the correct understanding of the gospel.

The movie American Gospel: Christ Alone
makes it look like there are only

these two camps, and that you have
to choose between only these two

(on one side, those who preach total heresies,
having no idea what the gospel of Christ

is truly about, and on the other side,
those who supposedly know the gospel,

have the truth and are building on Christ
and Christ alone).

This is the beginning of the article.
The reason I wrote this is because

that is the idea you get in the movie,
when you see it.

You almost get that idea that there are
on one side those people who really

understand the gospel and Christ,
and it's all about Christ and Christ alone.

And then we have those weird things
on the other side.

And it's not like that.
It's not those two camps.

And I have been there many, many
years ago.

I am going to tell it in more details
later, but many, many years ago,

15 years ago, I actually left one camp
and started in the other camp.

And I was frustrated years ago, thinking
like: It's almost like I need to choose

between the Spirit, where there are
spiritual things

and the Word, where they really build
on the Word. But you don't need to choose.

And this is what I want to bring out with
this article that you don't need to choose.

Yeah, we need to build on the Word,
the Word of God.

We need the Spirit and the truth. And I see
deception both places, in both camps.

But I will continue now.
I can relate to the movie. But…

When I saw the movie I could really relate
with many of the things they were pointing out

as big problems, and also with the direct
heresies in the “prosperity gospel”,

a movement I myself left over 15 years
ago, for some of the same reasons

you see in this movie. But even while I agree
with many of the things they are saying,

I still think the movie is not fair
with the way they portray it.

They often take things out of context,
and even use video clips that are 10-15 years old.

I’m sure we have all done or said things
10-15 years ago that we now regret,

things we would not do or say today.
I know I have, and I am thankful that with God,

there is forgiveness for those things.
If only the church could learn to do the same.

So I think they are unfair when they use
such old clips that are not even needed.

In general, I would have really liked
a more honest and fair approach

from the people behind the movie.
They also give the idea that some

of the prosperity preachers never preach
about sin, repentance and the cross,

but that is simply not true.
But I do fully agree that it is a big concern

that there are preachers out there living
a luxurious lifestyle that is far from biblical,

even the way they talk about money,
and manipulate people to give.

So, I would just say, when I saw the movie...
I really think it's not fair to use clip

that is 10, 15 years old. I often say I was
happy there was no YouTube out there

24, 25 years ago, when I came to faith.
Because when I came to faith

I came to faith in what I call
"the prosperity movement"

or came to faith in what is called
"the faith movement".

We called it "the faith movement"
at that time.

I came to faith there.
And I heard the gospel.

I heard the gospel of Jesus. I repented.
I got born again there. I met God there.

But after some years I left it because
I saw something was wrong

and I'm going to say in more details
later. But I did things.

And I said things at that time
I have regret.

And I've said things and done things
just years ago that I have regret.

Why? Because we are learning.
We are all learning.

And I think it's the same for everyone
of us, that everyone of us have said

and done things years ago
we regret today.

And therefore I don't think it's fair
to use clips that are so old.

It's just my take on it and it makes
the movie a little sad,

it makes a little not honest, but, again,
I saw something that is not good

with the prosperity movement.
I see some of the things I've seen on TV

where people are gathering money
and how they are manipulating

and talk about giving and if you give
this amount you will get healed

or if you give this God will bless you
and pay off your mortgage and all of that.

I believe in giving, but I've seen
a lot of manipulation

and I've seen a lot of things that
are really, really not healthy in it.

And I have a quote in my book
"The Last Reformation".

In my book I quote that Christianity
started in Israel as a body, a living body

of believers. It came to Greece
and became a philosophy.

It came to Rome and became
an institution.

It came to Europe and became a culture.

And it came to America and
became an enterprise.

So, it started as a body, but it became
a philosophy for some people.

It became a culture for other.
I grew up in Europe and I grew up

in culture - Christianity. But it came to
America and became an enterprise, a business.

But if you make a business out of a body,
is that not the prostitution?

And this is what have happened
with the gospel in many places in America,

that we have prostituted, not only America,
but actually all over the world today,

that we have prostituted the body of Christ.

And I see that take on it,
but at the same time,

you have to understand that people
behind the movie they take money

for the movie, to see the full movie.
Maybe there is a better way to do it.

I'm just saying - our movies are for free.

And I believe it should be for free.

Our events are for free. Our books
have been out there as e-books for free.

But that is a personal thing how you
decide to do it.

It's always to find that balance in it,
because I know it costs money

to do a movie. I know it costs things
and I don't say that it's not okay

for those people behind the movie
to take money for the full movie,

but I'm just saying we have to be
careful not just shoot everyone else

and then some of the things we do
ourselves is also wrong.

Okay, I'll leave that for now.
That was for free. So I continue:

What is missing in the American Gospel:
Christ Alone movie?

And I will come to - why I really want to
write this article.

But the reason I write this article is
because of a big concern I see in this movie,

in BOTH camps, and all over America
and the world.

I will now continue and answer the big
question stated in the title,

“What is missing in the American Gospel:
Christ Alone movie”?

Yes, the thing that is missing is for me
a far bigger concern than everything else.

The thing that is missing in this movie,
is the whole Gospel,

and the life of Christ the early church
was preaching and living.

And this is the thing. What is missing
in the movie is the whole gospel,

the whole gospel and the life of Christ
the early church was preaching and living.

And if you want to get a little idea
what I mean with this,

I really recommend you to see the movie
"The Last Reformation - The Beginning"

and "The Last Reformation - The Life".
Because there we wanted to talk about

how be led by the Holy Spirit, hear the
voice of God, healing the sick,

casting out demons, leading people
to Christ, with baptism right away,

with baptism with the Holy Spirit
and speaking in tongues.

All of this, what I read in the early
church - I don't see there.

I don't see healing. The way they talk
about the healing in the movie is only like

a critical thing. At one time in the movie
they had praying for the legs.

What they say that he pulled out the shoe.
And that is only the example they have

like all of that is totally fake. I have seen
so many people, I know many of you

who see this video who prayed for people
and see people got healed.

And it's not about the leg thing. It's really
about what is happening in the body.

One of the first times I prayed for somebody
it was actually leg that grew out.

I saw somebody get healed. And then I met
a guy who had a problem in the hip.

And his hip was not straight and his
leg was not straight.

And he said he have been at the hospital
and he have even checked at the hospital.

So, it was verified by doctors that
he had an issue.

I put him on a bench and I took his legs up.
He told me that his legs were 2-3 cm wrong.

And I took them up. It was only like 1-2 mm,
so I thought there was something wrong.

Maybe I do it in a wrong way. Maybe
I hold the shoes wrong,

so I pushed both feet in.
But there was still 1-2 mm.

So I thought: okay, I'll just pray.
So I prayed and his legs started to go out.

And I was so happy because now
it was even.

But then his leg continued growing,
continued growing, continued growing,

continued growing, and suddenly
they were 2-3 cm wrong.

And I was like: Uh-oh!
What happened there?

And I was so nervous I thought
I messed his life, I've done something

completely wrong, so I said...
I put his shoes down and I was ready

to run away because I was so nervous
at that time because I thought:

What was happening there?
But that guy stood up, he walked around,

he felt his back and he said:
Thank you. Thank you.

All the pain in the back was gone
and he was straightened out

in the way he walked.
But not completely straight

because he was walking around
saying: Wow! And he took off one shoe

and he took two centimeters out
of one shoe.

And he put it on again and walked straight
and he threw this out in the garbage.

So, this man have been to the doctor
and he have been told that his hip

was not straight. And you can measure
that in the legs, when they sit on a bench,

that hips were not even and the legs
were not even.

And he, to help with that issue,
have been at the hospital

and he have got something to put in the
shoe, for those 2-3 cm he's missing.

And when he walked with that
he now walked straight.

I did not know about that issue.
So when I prayed I did not know.

But God healed him and his leg
grew out, grew out, grew out

and I thought I messed his life
because suddenly they were 2 cm wrong.

But he took off that thing from the shoe
and he was completely healed.

I've seen this.
I've seen people get healed.

But in the movie you only see one thing
and it's put like everything is fake,

when it comes to that. Maybe something
is fake, I cannot say what other people do,

but I know what I've seen and I know
this is real and I have seen it real.

And it's not about the legs growing out.
It's about what happened in the hips.

Or what happened in the legs
when they got healed.

It's abut how the pain disappeared.
So, I have seen the real stuff.

And it's so sad in the movie that
they don't do that.

The real stuff is missing.
It mostly criticizes those people

who have misbused some of the
real stuff. But I will continue now.

I know what I am writing here will provoke
and challenge many of you out there,

but before you also attack me,
as if this is heresy,

take your Bible and see for yourself if
what I am sharing here is not the truth.

Yes, all too often we blindly follow our
leaders, preachers, or the church

denomination we are a part of.
We think those preachers know better,

and we don’t see what is missing. We don’t
take the time to see if they are preaching

the same as those in the Bible did,
and if they are living the life

the early disciples were. Yes, it is one thing
to stand behind a pulpit and preach.

It is something else to live it out.

Today, I want to add that Paul said:
I did not come with convincing words

but I came with power,
power of the Holy Spirit.

So, their faith should not be built
on words but on power,

power of the Holy Spirit.
We needs words. Words are important.

But we also need power.
We need to come to a place

where... People in their own strength
can preach. Some people are just gifted.

They are gifted when it comes to preaching.
And they are good at preaching.

They are good at speaking.
But when it comes to healing the sick,

when it comes to casting out demons,
when it comes to really hear the voice of God

and be led by the Holy Spirit, prophesy
and all of those... we are so lost.

We cannot do anything.
We are so dependent on God.

And therefore, I think it's so important
that we come and understand

that we need the power of God.
We need to walk in the supernatural.

Why? Because this is the place where we
really, really, really, really, really learn

dependentness on God, learn
to listen, learn to fast, learn to pray.

Because when we stand there we cannot
do anything in our strength.

And it is one thing to stand
behind the pulpet.

It's one thing to stand and preach about
the life. It's something else to live it.

You could stand and preach how
we should live in holiness,

but if people are struggling with sin
themselves and are not free,

what does it matter to stand to preach
about holiness?

It's one thing to preach about the family
and the importance of the family

and that our kids should grow up
in faith, but if all our kids are rebellious

and don't want God, what does it matter?

It's one thing to preach that Jesus Christ
is the same yesterday, today and forever

and the Holy Spirit is the same, and Jesus
walked around doing miracles,

healing the sick, casting out demons,
but if we don't see any people get healed,

demons been cast out,
what does it matter?

We are not called just to preach about.
We are called to live it out.

We are called to live the life.
But I'll continue.

If you look at the movie American Gospel:
Christ Alone, you see, as in so many

other places today, that the gospel they
are preaching is NOT the whole gospel

as they were preaching in the early church.
And the life they are living, in this movie,

is also NOT the same as we read in
the Bible. The life of the early disciples

was a life led by the Holy Spirit –
a life where they saw healings,

casting out demons and speaking in tongues.
No matter how you turn and twist the Bible,

these things should still also be for today.

And I want to add here. When I say this
it's not just as a critique,

to be critical, to point finger and so on.
You who know me - you know my testimony.

I gave my life to Christ in 1995.
When I came to year 2000 I've been a Christian

for around six years, at that time,
a little more than five years.

People looked at me in the church like
I was radical. I've already helped

with the church planting and we have done
many things,

but then I had a time where I really
studied the early church,

how they were living, and I saw something
was missing in my life.

Here I was, and I was radical in the eyes
of the church, but I've never healed the sick,

I've never cast out a demon, I've never
led people to Christ, baptize in water

and the Holy Spirit, like we read,
spoke in tongues.

I've never experienced what I read here,
here in the Bible.

Here, in the Bible, among the early
believers.

My life did not look like what I read there.

So, I came to a point in my life -
there was something wrong some place.

It could be in the Bible
or it could be my life.

Some people go in and say: It would be
in the Bible, so we say that

gifts are not for today and we twist
and misbuse the Bible to say that:

Oh, the gifts are not for today.
There are no apostles like in that time,

and therefore, and we conclude out
of this... I believe there are no apostles

like in that time, like the Twelve.
But, to conclude out of that

that there is no gifting and God don't do
miracles today - that is really

twisting of the Word of God.
And many people do that.

Because they don't see it in their own
life, they twist the Bible

to suit their life. What I did at that
time - I tried to change my life.

I started a 40 days fast, where I was
praying and fasting for 40 days -

God, I want to see it. And God
started slowly to do it in my life

and now my life, many years later,
looks so much more like the Bible

and the Book of Acts,
than it did at that time.

And you can see our movie
"The Last Reformation - The Life"

where we talk about the Book of Acts.
So, I just want to say - it's not just to

point finger. It's just to say that I've
been there and that should be our approach

to the Bible. If it doesn't look like
our life - we change our life.

We don't change the Bible.
But I'll continue.

If we look at the gospel, then the movie
does give a very good and clear understanding

of our state as sinners – that we all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God,

and that we can be justified freely
by His grace through the redemption

that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:23-24).
That it is by faith in Jesus, and not by works

that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).
It also gives a beautiful picture of how Jesus

truly is our Passover Lamb, that He died
for our sins according to the Scriptures,

was buried, rose again on the third day
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4),

and that He is the only One who can
take our sins away.

When it comes to this - beautiful movie,
beautifully made,

the way to see that we have all sinned.
It's only in Jesus Christ.

And the focus on 1 Corinthians 15,
that the Scripture says that He was buried

and rose up again, died on the cross and
was buried, according to the Scripture,

and rose up again.
I love that part.

But you have to understand that
Corinthians, and Paul is writing that...

They often say - This is the gospel:
Jesus died, He got buried and rose up again.

This is the gospel, but I will say:
Remember, in the gospels,

Jesus was preaching, in the beginning
of Mark: Repent for the Kingdom of God

is near. And He sent His disciples out to
preach the gospel. The gospel.

None of them, of the disciples at that time
was preaching how Jesus died,

got buried and rose up again,
because they did not know it.

Even after Jesus rose up again.
They still did not understand it.

What were they preaching
at that time?

They were not preaching Jesus died on
the cross, was buried and rose up again.

That was not what they were preaching
in the gospel because it haven't happened

and no one knew... Jesus knew, but
no one else knew that it would happen.

So, it was not what they were preaching.
They were preaching the gospel of the Kingdom,

that we have a King, and that is Jesus Christ.
And the Kingdom is near.

Later you see - the Kingdom is here.

So, we need to preach, the Cross is the
center of that. I agree.

But we need to preach the Kingdom.
We need to preach everything.

We need to preach Jesus died for our sins.
We need to preach He was buried.

We need to preach He rose up again.
But we also need to preach

how He ascended to Heaven.
We also need to preach how He sent

His Holy Spirit down here. We also need
to preach Acts 2:38, that we need to repent,

get baptized for the forgiveness of
our sins and receive the Holy Spirit.

We need to preach the whole Kingdom.
And that is the gospel.

To say: No, no, we only preach this part
and nothing else. I don't agree with that.

I don't agree that Bible very clear states:
This is the gospel and this is not.

And if, again, IF, if the gospel only was
that Jesus died, He got buried and

rose up again... and not the part with
the Holy Spirit and all of that

and what happened on Pentecost. Then,
why don't we see that in the Book of Acts?

Why don't we see that in the gospels?

Because the gospel is
a gospel of the Kingdom,

is a gospel of our King Jesus Christ,
how He came to save the world

and the next time He is going to come
back to judge the world

and we need to preach it all. And if you
want to know a little what the gospel is

I recommend you to see a video I have,

how you meet God. Because there
I share the gospel.

And I start with Adam and Eve,
I start with the tree of life

and how sin came in and we are
thrown out of the Garden

so we will not be able to eat of the tree
of life and live forever because of our sin.

I talk about sin and the ark of Noah and
talk about sin in people

and then talk about Jesus,
how He came as new Adam

and how He died on the cross, got buried
and rose up again, ascended to Heaven

and sent His Holy Spirit down here
so now we may be born again through Him.

And then I talk about what we need to do
to be born again.

And that is not works.
That is not works.

And there are people who say:
baptism is works. It's not works.

Baptism can never be works, because Paul
wrote to people who were already baptized.

To say that baptism is works is as saying
that repentance is works.

No, when we talk about works,
it's works by the law.

And we are not justified by works of the law.
We are justified through Jesus Christ.

Faith in Him. And we need to be born
again out of water and Spirit,

as Jesus is saying in John 3.
Much more about that later,

but I just want to say, and I preach
the gospel there and then

one day Jesus is going to come down
and judge the world.

And we are going to get a new heaven
and a new earth, and there,

in the middle of the garden, those
who have washed their garments clean

by the blood of the Lamb will be
able to take out and eat of the tree of life

and live forever. I believe all of that
with Adam and Eve,

and the tree of life, and Jesus,
the new Adam,

and the Holy Spirit came down here,
came into this body, into this temple.

I believe that is the gospel.
The gospel is all of it.

The gospel is not "only"...
I know this the center of the gospel,

but the gospel is not only that.
The gospel is everything.

And I can prove that again. They were
preaching the gospel before the cross,

before anyone knew about the cross,
and look at the Book of Acts,

what they were preaching there.
Okay, I need to continue now.

I want to say this. Sorry.
It's very, very beautiful what they did

when they talked about sin,
up to the Cross. And then I continue.

But then it sadly goes wrong, as it does
in so many other places today.

Because when it comes to how we receive
this free gift, the movie goes wrong.

Yes, they talk about the cross of Jesus
and the gospel.

But they totally forget how Jesus,
after the cross, rose again, ascended

into Heaven, and has now sent
His Holy Spirit down to His people.

They forget the life of the Holy Spirit
we read about in the book of Acts.

They seem to be stuck in the mindset
that people only need to “repent and believe”,

as stated in the four gospels,
and they forget what happened

when the Holy Spirit came down here.
Yes, that life of the Holy Spirit is also

missing. They don’t understand that
the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

don’t give the whole picture.
These four gospels all took place

before the cross, and no one there
got born-again the way we see happening

after the cross, and like we should
also see today.

I want to say that it's so clear, we need to
understand where the New Covenant

really started. We need to rightly divide
the Word of God.

And see how they were preaching
after the cross.

And I want to say: the gospels... I'm not...
The gospels are beautiful.

I read the gospels every day.
This is Jesus' words.

He talked about being a disciple.
He talked about taking up the cross.

He talked about denying ourselves.
He talked about following Him,

that attitude. Everything Jesus is saying
is so beautiful and we believe in Jesus.

We believe in His words and therefore
we obey His words.

I don't say we should throw away
the gospels. People think

I'm only for the Book of Acts and I don't
believe in the gospels. That is a lie.

Everyone who goes in and see our
online "Pioneer School" see that

I actually only have two or three lessons
out of 28 about the Book of Acts.

I have a whole lesson about the Hebrews
where I went to Hebrews

from one end to another.
I talk a lot about the letters.

I talk a lot about the gospels.
So, don't quote me that I'm only

for the Book of Acts. I am not.
But we need to understand

the New Covenant, where it started,
and we need to see

when the Holy Spirit came down
and see how they were preaching there.

But I'll continue.
The truth is that the movie American Gospel:

Christ Alone is busy criticizing others
for a lack of the gospel, but not realizing

they themselves aren’t preaching or living
the whole gospel either.

They themselves are not preaching the true
gospel preached by the early church.

They themselves are not experiencing the life
with the Holy Spirit lived by the early church.

Yes, I know this will be hard to swallow
for many, but don’t take “my” word for it.

Take out your Bible and see if what I am
saying here is the truth.

If you take your Bible and read Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John,

there are many things you don’t find there.
First, you don’t find anyone baptized in water

in the name of Jesus, and you don’t find
anyone receiving the Holy Spirit

like we see in the book of Acts. Why?
Because the four gospels were all happening

when Jesus was walking here on earth.
The four gospels all happened before the cross

and therefore before the new covenant
really began.

In the four gospels you don’t find anyone
getting baptized in water

in the name of Jesus, as we see later.
Those who got baptized at that time,

all got baptized with John’s baptism,
and then later got rebaptized

in Jesus’ name. See Acts 19.

It's so clear when you see it.
When you take off the religious glasses

and first see it, it is so, so clear.
But I know when you are used

to read the Bible through one glasses
and see it one way, this can seem

a little like: What?
But try to see the difference.

Try to see the difference between
how they were preaching at that time

and then how they were preaching
after the cross.

What they were preaching before the cross,
how the people reacted before the cross,

how they were preaching after the cross
and how the people reacted after the cross.

Because the reaction after the cross was
very different from the reaction before.

The preaching after was different
then preaching before.

And now we are after. So we don't have
to preach to anyone like before the cross

and say: Hey, you have to wait in
Jerusalem for the promise from our Father.

And people need to wait for Pentecost.
No, now we are after Pentecost.

Today is the day of salvation.
Everyone who call on the name of Jesus

shall be saved and the promise of the
Holy Spirit is for you and your children,

your grandchildren and everyone God
is going to call on, who's afar off...

Or, far away. Sorry, I'm translating from
my Danish to my English.

But I just want to say, there is a very big
difference between before and after.

I'll continue.

You also don’t find anyone in the four gospels
getting baptized with the Holy Spirit,

like we see after the Cross.
The reason again, is that Jesus at that time

was still walking here on earth.
It was before the cross, and they did not pray

in Jesus’ name, or baptize in Jesus’ name,
as we see later.

Jesus had also not yet ascended to Heaven,
so He hadn’t sent the Holy Spirit

down here on earth, like we read later
in the book of Acts as well.

Therefore, if we only preach and live
the life we see in the four gospels,

as many do today, we are not preaching
a New Testament Gospel

and we are not living by the Holy Spirit
as the early church was doing.

And this is the thing. If you look at the
four gospels,

in Luke 9 and Luke 10, when Jesus sent
the Twelve and the Seventy out,

He gave them the authority. He did not
baptize them with the Holy Spirit.

He gave them authority to do this
for that moment.

But later, now, the Holy Spirit is poured out
on all flesh: moms, fathers, sons, daughters,

grandkids, and so on - all flesh.
And this is the beautiful thing in it.

And what I really love with the Bible,
the Word of God,

it's not only something that happened
2000 years ago. It is, it happened,

but is happening today. And we can
continue this life today.

We can write our own testimony,
our own diary should look like

the diary we read about in the Book of Acts.
But I'll continue.

So don’t make the mistake many are making,
being stuck on Good Friday,

only focusing on the cross, but forgetting
the resurrection, ascension and outpouring

of the Holy Spirit. If we only focus
on the four gospels,

we don’t have the whole Word of God.

We are then missing the life and power
we are meant to have with the Holy Spirit.

After the cross, after Jesus went to Heaven,
and after He sent His Spirit down here,

we, for the first time, see the whole Gospel
preached, along with what we need to do

in order to receive this new amazing life!

And I want to say here that...
You see what they've preached,

but you also see the response
people gave.

If we are preaching the same gospel as them,
we should receive the same response as them.

I think that is very simple. Philip,
in the Book of Acts 8,

you don't read what he preached to
the eunuch, directly, you don't read words,

he starts with Isaiah and talk about Christ
but you don't read what he was preaching.

But somehow you do, because you
read the eunuch's response:

There is water. What hinders me
from getting baptized?

So, his response to the preaching was:
There is water! What hinders me from

getting baptized? The same response
you see on Pentecost.

The same response you see in Acts 10, later
you see, after receiving of the Holy Spirit,

but in Acts 16, in Acts 19, you see that
response. Like in Acts 16,

Paul and the jailer, they said: Believe
in the Lord Jesus and you and your

household shall be saved. Correct?
But then he sat down with the household

and preached what Jesus was preaching,
to say more clear what the gospel was

and what they need to do to believe
and what it means to believe in Christ Jesus.

And that night, in the middle of the night,
the whole household was baptized.

In the middle of the night.

Everyone in the Bible got baptized right
away. Where do you see that?

Do you see one baptism in the movie?

How many churches in America and
all over the world do actually baptize

people right away?
But this is what we read in the Bible.

Baptism in water and the filling
of the Holy Spirit was

supposed to be part of the gospel
and response people gave.

But now we have divided up so we have
repentance and faith,

and baptism comes much later,
for some, and not for some,

and then the Holy Spirit is only
for a few. That is not biblical.

When Peter there stood up, he did not say
ONLY “repent and believe”,

as we see again and again
through the whole movie.

No, we read: “Then Peter said unto them,
‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you

in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you,
and to your children,

and to all that are afar off, even as many
as the LORD our God shall call.’” (Acts 2:38-39)

Why complicate it?

Why not just preach that?
Why not just preach that?

Then people say: Yeah, but they don't
preach that every place in the Book of Acts.

The Book of Acts is a historical book.
It's not a theology book.

It's a historical book.
Sometimes we just read: They came to faith.

Sometimes we read: The numbers grew
to 2000, or 5000. Sorry.

Sometimes we read they repented and
get baptized.

Sometimes we read that they received
the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes we read less details.
Sometimes we read more details.

Just because it's not written every place
that they got baptized in water

doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
Of course it happened.

But the author, Luke, did not write it
every time what they did.

Sometimes he focused on 3000 get
baptized.

He didn't focused on the receiving of
the Holy Spirit, but of course

3000 received the Holy Spirit. Because
Peter was talking about the Holy Spirit.

He said: If you repent and be baptized
you shall receive the Holy Spirit.

But you don't read they received
the Holy Spirit.

That doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
It happened. But it's because the author,

Luke, who wrote Luke and Acts,
he did not write it in details

every time what have happened.

Some people say: Oh, because it's not
written it did not happen.

But some places there is not written
that they have repented.

Some places repentance is not mentioned.

But how can you come to faith
without repentance?

Sometimes faith was actually
not mentioned.

How can you repent without faith?

Just because it's not written doesn't mean
that it didn't happen.

But if you then take the Book of Acts
and read it all

and then draw as many details out
of the different things that happen,

you see a clear picture. And you see
that there is faith, repentance...

Or, first repentance, faith, baptism
in water and the Holy Spirit.

Those four. Repentance, faith,
baptism in water, baptism with the Holy Spirit,

those four go through the Book of Acts.
Again, again and again.

And this is the four, but the movie
only have two: repentance and faith.

They don't have baptism and the Holy Spirit.

But if you read our Lord Jesus' word
ourselves:

The one who believes and is baptized
shall be saved. Jesus says it.

Yeah, but He also says: Those who do not
believe shall be condemned.

And there is not written about baptism...

Yeah, because no one will get baptized
without faith. Come on!

Don't twist the Word. Just read the Word.
And that is the problem sometimes

with the seminary, sorry, that you can have
so big glasses that you cannot understand

the Word. If I take the Book of Acts and
give it to 20 kids, ten years old,

who haven't been at the seminary. Kids.
And say: Got through the Book of Acts.

Tell me: when the people get baptized?
Right away they came to faith

or first Sunday in the church meeting
after many years when they are ready?

They will say: Right away. Right away
when people came to faith

they got baptized.
Kids can see it.

But when I take people who have been
to university or studied in a seminary

and studied theology - they cannot see it.
Why? Because now they read with those big glasses.

If you have been to a Baptist university
- you read with a Baptist glasses.

If you have been to a Pentecostal seminary
- you read with a Pentecostal glasses.

And we often do what our tradition tells us
instead of doing what the Word is saying.

And that is the problem with the Pharisees.
They put the Word of God out of power

because of their traditions.
And I really encourage you -

just be like a child, read the Word and then
see what they did. Okay. I'll continue.

In the movie they never talked about baptism
in water or about the Holy Spirit.

It was all missing. But if you take out
your Bible and see how they did things

after the Cross, when the new covenant
began, you will see that baptism in water

was the first step of obedience.
It was something they did as a response

to the gospel, immediately,
for the remission of their sins.

You will also see that the gift of
the Holy Spirit was given to everyone.

Sometimes, people received the Holy Spirit
before baptism, like in Acts 10:46,

with Cornelius and his house, where Peter
heard them speaking in tongues and praising God,

and then they got baptized in water afterward.
Other times, they got baptized in water first,

then received the Holy Spirit afterward
when they were prayed for,

speaking in tongues and prophesying,
like we see with Paul in Acts 19.

We also see this today with many people,
all over the world, but that is all

missing here in this movie.

We see that today. Again, some years ago
I did not see it in my life.

And I could build theology and say:
the Bible is wrong, the Bible is wrong -

why I don't see it my life?
But then I started to trust the Bible

saying: No, the Bible is not wrong.
I am wrong. And then I started to change.

And now we see it. We have seen thousands.
I've been part of... I don't know,

3000 baptisms in the last five years.
People every week repent,

get baptized in water and receive
the Holy Spirit.

We hear so many testimonies.
And to see how people repent,

see how they get baptized and God
gives the Holy Spirit - it's so beautiful.

where we talk about faith, we talk about
repentance, we talk about baptism in water,

we talk about the baptism with
the Holy Spirit and we talk about this life.

And I want to say... No, I can take that
later when we'll talk about baptism.

What did the early church preach?

The four steps we see, again and again,
through the New Testament, are:

repentance, faith, baptism in water
and baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Yes, this is what the early church preached,
as what people needed to do,

to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today, when we talk about
the importance of water baptism,

we often hear people say
water baptism is not important,

and use the example of the thief on the cross.
But, once again, the thief on the cross

was also before Jesus’ death,
resurrection and ascension.

When people use this example, it shows
they don’t know how to rightly divide

the Word of God. They don’t understand
when the old covenant ends,

and where the new covenant starts.
And this is where many go wrong,

including those you see in the movie
American Gospel: Christ Alone.

I want to say again... I did a video called:
"What about the robber on the cross?"

Because everyone use him as an example.
But again, see it very clear.

Did the robber on the cross get baptized
to Christ? No.

Did the woman at the well get baptized
to Christ? No.

Did the woman caught in adultery get baptized
to Christ? No.

And I could move on, move on.
I can go back to the Benjamin, Joseph, Ruth,

David, Abraham, Noah.
Did they get baptized to Christ? No.

And you say: Of course they didn't
because they were before Christ.

Yeah, but everything I said there
was before the cross.

NO-ONE, NO-ONE got baptized
to Jesus Christ before the cross.

They've got baptized with John's baptism,
who got baptized later.

You see that in Acts 19.
No one got baptized as the response.

But then Jesus said, before He ascended
to Heaven: Go out, make disciples

of all nations, baptizing them.
Baptizing them.

Make disciples baptizing them
and then teach them.

What do we do? We teach them a lot
and then we baptize them later.

Jesus said: One who believes and is
baptized shall be saved.

We say people should just believe
and then we say they are saved.

Jesus did not say that. He said:
Go out in the world, preach to all nations.

The one who believes and is baptized
shall be saved.

What do we see after the cross?
Peter preached, they responded,

they got baptized 3000.

The Book of Acts 8.
Philip came to Samaria.

He preached.
They responded and get baptized.

He met the eunuch. He preached.
He responded: There's water.

Can I get baptized? Cornelius.
Peter was surprised that Cornelius

and his household received the Holy Spirit
because they were gentiles.

He was a Jew at a gentile home.
And he was so surprised that could happen.

So when they suddenly received the Holy Spirit
Peter commanded them right away

to get baptized in water. Why?
Because this is what the Bible says.

Right away.
Jailer - in the middle of the night.

When do we see people get baptized
in the middle of the night in the Bible?

They believed that baptism is important.
They did not only preached it.

They acted on it.
They lived it out.

And that was what the early church
was preaching.

So, just see it very, very simple.
Let's continue.

If you take the time to study every verse
in the Bible about water baptism,

you will see that people in the Bible
were baptized right away,

immediately after confessing Christ.
You will also see that baptism in water

is NOT just a symbol, but an actual part
of our salvation (Mark 16:17 – 1 Peter 3:21).

Baptism is where we bury the old man
and put on Christ, as Paul expresses

here in Romans 6:3-4:
“Know ye not, that so many of us

as were baptized into Jesus Christ
were baptized into His death?

Therefore we are buried with Him
by baptism into death:

that like as Christ was raised up
from the dead by the glory of the Father,

even so we also should walk
in newness of life.” and here:

“For ye are all the children of God
by faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)

Yeah, look here. We are children of God
by faith in Jesus Christ. Yes.

We are all children of God by faith.
But when do we truly enter into that faith?

Read the next verse.
“For as many of you as have been baptized

into Christ have put on Christ.”
(Galatians 3:27)

Yes, we are the children of God by faith
in Jesus Christ because when we get baptized

into Christ we put on Christ.

Baptism have been very hard for me to
understand. The first six, seven years

as a believer I was a church planter.
We have started a church.

Baptism was just a symbol.
It was just a symbol.

I did not understand it.
Because I had the religious glasses on.

But then I started to see how they
did it in the early church.

And if you really take the time
to just take every verse which

talks about baptism, you cannot
conclude, it's impossible to conclude

that baptism is just a symbol.
It's impossible to conclude

that baptism is just an outward sign
that you believe.

The Bible use so strong words of
dying with Christ, rising with Christ.

It's not a washing away the dirt but
clean conscience. It's washing away our sins.

When Ananias baptized Paul:
Stand up and wash away your sins.

Peter on Pentecost said:
For the forgiveness of your sins.

Do I believe that baptism can
wash away sins? Yes, I do.

And there is the problem with the mindset
today. We have the Greek mindset.

We don't know that physical things
have a spiritual impact.

Like Naaman in the Old Testament.
He had leprosy. God spoke to him

through the prophet: Go and dip yourself
seven times in Jordan and you will be free.

And when he dipped himself seven times
in Jordan he came up and was cleansed

from leprosy. It was not water that was
magical but he acted on the word of God

and God used that water to cleanse him
from his leprosy.

God can use physical things.
The tree of life was the physical tree of life.

The physical tree of knowledge of good and
evil was a physical tree,

but have a spiritual impact. Water is a
physical thing, but have a spiritual impact.

Water can wash away your sins, can give
you a clean conscience.

I've seen so many people who had a faith
in God, who believed in Christ,

but were struggling with sin.
They were not free.

The Romans 7, like: I want to do
a good thing but I cannot.

But we should live in Romans 6 - freedom
from sin. Sin has no dominion over you.

We are not under the law
but under the grace.

The way we often read the Bible.
We start with one line and then we move

to the other, but the Hebrew way is like
you go in circles.

And what people misunderstand with
Romans. Romans 6 is talking about

the new law, the Romans 7, 3 and 4 is
talking about the old and the new life,

and the Romans 7 is talking about the
old life again, and then Roman 7:14, and so on,

and then Romans 8 - the new life.
So, if you take a pen and do like that

through Romans, you can understand Romans.
And Paul in Romans 7:14 is talking

not about the normal Christian life.
He is talking about how it is to be

under sin, not to be free.
Romans 6, Roman 8 is the new life,

walked by the Spirit, not by the flesh,
and there is no condemnation

for those who are in Christ,
who walk by the Spirit.

And I met so many people who grew up
in churches, who feel condemned,

condemned, condemned, condemned.
And when they hear the true gospel

and then repent, they wash away their
own life, they bury their old life,

they rise up to Christ and it is so
beautiful. You can see that in our

"The Last Reformation" movies.
And it's so beautiful.

And this is what we see in the Bible.

You cannot say that baptism is
just a symbol. You cannot say it.

And there we have a problem. Many people
think I believe in baptismal regeneration.

I don't. I grew up in Denmark,
which is a Lutheran country.

I know of demonic lies that baptism
saves by itself. I don't believe that.

My whole family have been deceived.
I was deceived. I was baptized as a baby,

and like the Catholics and the Lutherans
believe in the baptismal regeneration,

that you get born again by baptism.
I don't believe in that.

But it's wrong to go to the other side and
say that baptism is not a part of salvation.

And we have a video, I'll put a link of this
video, together with this,

it is called: "The road of salvation."
There is a road of salvation.

Like the Israelites were captures as
slaves in Egypt and they got saved

by the blood of the lamb, out of Egypt,
but it was not enough.

They would have died there. They
needed more to enter into the promised land

and continue. First, they've got saved out
of Egypt and now they needed to be saved

from Egypt by baptism through Moses,
like we got saved out of this world

but then we need to be saved from this world.
And you can see that more on videos

I have done, where I talk about the road
of salvation.

And we need to have the big picture
and the whole gospel.

The problem is that many people today
don't know where to put the baptism.

They believe that... If they read the baptism
is this: washing away of sins

and dying with Christ and rising up with
Christ...

Hey, I'm back again. I suddenly disappeared
because I had some problem with my camera

and the battery. I was saying
that baptism is a part of salvation

and I encourage you to go in and see the

Okay. I want to continue now.
Faith and works

The problem we see today with the Bible
is that many people don’t know the context

it is written in, or how to rightly divide
the Word of God.

They often forget, as I said,
where the new covenant began.

They also forget that the letters were written
to those who were already believers -

believers who had gotten born-again
as we read in the book of Acts –

people who got baptized in water and
who had received the Holy Spirit.

So, when Paul warns us not to go back
to works (works by the law),

he is NOT talking about baptism in water
like some think.

Those he was writing to had all already
gotten baptized in water, right away,

when they came to faith. To quote Paul or
others and say baptism in water is “works”,

like many do, is really twisting
the Word of God.

Oh, I needed to had that in, because
I've heard so many people from that movement

we see there, behind the movie, saying:
No, it's works, it's works.

Baptism is works. It's works, it's works,
it's works.

It's not works. It have never been works.
When the Bible talks about works,

it warns about works, it's works by the law,
or works you need to do something.

If baptism is works, repentance is works.
Faith is works.

When Paul warns at the beginning
of the Galatians: Foolish Galatians!

Who have bewitched you? You started good
and you ended up wrong, and all of this,

he warned against going to works -
he is not talking about baptism.

Of course he is not talking about baptism.
Why? Because in the same letter,

in the same letter to those people
he warned about works,

in the same letter, chapter 3:26,
we read before...

You became the children of God through faith
when you got baptized to Christ,

you have put on Christ. He will not warn
against baptism and then later,

to people who are baptized, says:
When you got baptized you have put on Christ.

It doesn't make sense. And this is what
we have done with the Word.

People have really twisted the Word
because of chapters and verses

and we take thing out the context.
Remember the letters.

All the letters were written to
already believers, born again believers.

Born again believers who have repented.

Born again believers who have got baptized.

Born again believers who have
received the Holy Spirit.

It's written to those believers.
It will be more clear when I continue now.

Also, when Paul reminds the people in
Ephesus how they received the Holy Spirit

when they believed (Ephesians 1:13),
remember who the PEOPLE are he’s writing to.

He was not writing to people who had just
“prayed the sinner’s prayer”,

because that did not exist at the time.
He was also not writing to a baptist church,

a reformed church, a pentecostal church,
or any other church we see today,

because they (with all their tradition)
also did not exist at the time.

He wrote to those who when they
(not you or me) believed,

received the Holy Spirit right away.
Today though, we have catholic, baptist,

reformed people, and so on,
who all read the same letters,

and out of them teach that you automatically
receive the Holy Spirit when YOU believe,

but that is simply not true.
If you read Acts chapter 8,

you see how people there heard Philip’s
preaching and believed, repented and

got baptized in water right away. But they
still had not yet received the Holy Spirit.

Yes, it is possible to believe without receiving.

And here I would say... Oh...
It's so important to understand that.

Remember. If you take Ephesians 1:13,
it's written here:

"In him you also, when you heard
the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation,

and believed in him, were sealed with the
promised Holy Spirit".

So we, out of that, teach that when people
come to faith - automatically

they receive the Holy Spirit. But remember,
we have today Catholics who read that.

We have Baptists who read that.
We have many kinds of people who read that.

We have even Jehovah's Witnesses
and Mormons.

We have Jehovah's Witnesses who read
this verse:

"In him you"... Hmm... Me. "When you heard"
Aha... When I heard.

"the word of truth" ... Yeah.
I was sealed with the Holy Spirit. Yeah.

And they teach that. But this is not written
to a Mormon. It's not written to

Jehovah's Witness. It's not written to you,
actually. It's not written to me.

It's written to them. Who were they?
How did they believe?

What did they do when they believed?
They repented, they got baptized

and they received the Holy Spirit.

Another place, the Book of Acts 19:2,
Paul asked some believers

when he met them: Did you receive
the Holy Spirit when you believed?

How will Paul ask somebody did you
receive the Holy Spirit when you believed

if people automatically receive
the Holy Spirit when they believe?

You have to understand the Word.
Take off the religious glasses and see it.

Understand the context it's written in.
And we have our church denominations

that just put the Word of God
out of power because of our traditions.

We don't see it. We don't see the context -
to whom is written to and how.

And there I want to add.
I added a text here.

When a person comes to Christ, it is
because the Holy Spirit draws that person

(John 6:46), and when a person sees their sin,
it is also because of the Holy Spirit

(John 16:8). All of this is a work
by the Holy Spirit, but this is not the same

as being filled with the Holy Spirit
(Matthew 3:11, Acts 8:16, John 14:17, Acts 19:2).

The reason I wanted to add this is because
there are people who believe like a...

a special anointing, a special gifting,
and there is a lot of filling of the Holy Spirit.

I believe you get baptized
with the Holy Spirit one time. One time.

The Holy Spirit comes in. I was baptized
with the Holy Spirit that day I came to faith.

The Holy Spirit came...
He changed my life.

The Holy Spirit came into me and so on.
And I believe there is a sign there

and the sign, in the Book of Acts 8
something was missing.

You don't see what was missing,
but the apostles knew that they have not yet

received the Holy Spirit.
How did they know that?

They saw something was missing.
They laid hands on them

and something happened at that
moment.

Not only for those who got prayed for
but for other people who watched

because Simon the sorcerer saw that
the Spirit was given by hands of the apostles.

How did he saw that?
Because something happened right there.

There is a sign when the Holy Spirit comes.

You don't see that clear there,
you don't see there, but if you go to Acts 2

and Acts 10 and Acts 19, you see what
that is - they spoke in tongues.

And people are quoting, quoting, quoting,
quoting, quoting, quoting, quoting, quoting:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but tongues are
not for everyone.

And I would say that one of the tongues
is not for everyone.

I fully believe in that. But there are
different kinds of tongues.

And that is where people go wrong.
There are four tongues.

I have a teaching about that.
I can put a link to that teaching.

I speak in tongues now.
Tongues means language.

I believe when you get the Spirit and
get born again, you get a spiritual tongue,

you speak spiritual language.
I believe it is fore everyone.

And there is a tongue who needs to be
interpreted in the church,

only two or three at a time.
And there are tongues of Pentecost

where you see people spoke another
language. I experienced that.

I experienced that, when the Holy Spirit
comes and I speak.

And people of other language understand
what I am saying.

But that is not something I can do
when I want to and that is not for everyone.

It happens by the Spirit.
But we take one verse:

It's not everyone who speak in tongues and
then we cancel all different kinds of tongues.

And that's why I've gone a teaching
about tongues, how it works

and different kinds of tongues.

But you see in the Bible that there is
a clear sign when people receive

the Holy Spirit. I don't say, by that,
that those who don't speak in tongues

they don't have the Spirit, but if you
have the Spirit, I believe you have the gift.

You just need to use it. And we have
been teaching about it

and we have seen thousands of people
receive tongues. It's really beautiful.

And that new life. I also believe that
some people can fake it,

I believe there are false tongues,
I believe is not everyone who speaks

in tongues who actually
speaks by the Spirit. I've seen that.

I see false tongues in other religions
also. I've seen people been set free,

who came from place where they all
got false tongues and they actually

went to a deliverance, and then
it went out.

I had a family come to me, I prayed
for them, one fell down and manifested

and spoke in tongues. And I was like:
This is not tongues. This is false.

This is demonic. And mom was so surprised.
I said: Come out in the name of Jesus!

And suddenly that tongue left, a demon,
and then they got filled with the Holy Spirit

and spoke in tongues. The real tongues.
That actually happened with the whole family.

The whole family have got false tongues.
I've seen it. There are false tongues.

But there's also real tongues.
And it's beautiful.

Because the promise of the Holy Spirit
is for you and your children,

your grandchildren and everyone who's
afar off and He's the same today.

So, just because you are in the church
denomination or a place

where you don't see it, doesn't mean
that it doesn't happen today.

I have a whole teaching about that

can see I talk about the different

kinds of tongues there are.

But again, understand the context
the Bible is written to.

Hey, now you can see I'm suddenly
outside. What happened was

I was sitting inside filming, but my
SD card was full, so I put it

on the computer, but then, when I needed
to start filming again, my family was home

and everyone was walking around
the house and making a lot of noise,

so I actually just decided to move outside.
So I will continue from outside here now.

And I will continue to read here.

Remember that the Bible was meant
for the common man.

You don’t need to go to seminary or have
a theology degree to understand the Bible.

People who go to seminary often come out
with the same religious glasses on,

seeing things only the way they have been
taught there.

Then they end up blindly leading others.

I want to add again there - the Bible is
really meant for the common man.

And, as I said before, if you take just
baptism, for example,

and give the Book of Acts to
ten years old kids and say:

When did people get baptized?
What did people preached?

How did people respond to the gospel?
I think it's so clear.

But now we have people from seminaries
and so on, who don't see it,

because they all believe the same thing.
When I meet people I can often say:

Tell me where you have studied and
I'll tell you what you believe.

And it's like that with everyone.
The same it was with me.

But I have left my background and I
have been in the other side

and I've been all over. And personally,
I'm in a way that if I look at a subject

in the Bible I love to see what everyone
is teaching before.

Like, when we talk about many of the guys
you see them in the movie

"American Gospel", I've been listening
a lot to some of them.

I've been listening a lot.
I have seen a lot of preaching.

There was a strange "Fire conference"
some years ago where they talked

against... how things were misbused
in the charismatic movement.

I've seen the whole conference.
I've listened to it two times.

And there's something I really, really,
really agree with,

and something I really disagree with.
Really disagree with.

But, this is where I stand.
I really like to see from both sides

and I encourage you to see it
from both sides and then take the Bible

and just read it and trust that you can
understand the Bible. I'll continue.

Many of those today are totally blind
when it comes to the book of Acts.

They say Jesus is the same yesterday and
today and forever (Hebrews 13:8),

but by their life and preaching,
deny what we read in the Bible,

like it is not for us today.
But if Jesus is the same yesterday and today

and forever, then the Holy Spirit is also
the same yesterday and today and forever.

People are still in their sin,
and they need to hear the whole gospel,

and to be born-again. There are still demons
and we need to cast them out.

There are still sick people
and they need healing.

I'm very simple when it comes to this.
Yeah, I don't have a big theology degree.

I love God, I love Jesus, I pray a lot,
I fast a lot, I read the Bible a lot,

I listen to sermons and I have not been
to a university, I don't have a degree,

I admit that, but I believe still that
you can just, by your relationship with Christ,

by the Holy Spirit teaching you and the Bible,
you can really come to understand the Word of God.

And I see Jesus is the same today.
The Holy Spirit is the same today.

I cannot deny that.
I cannot see it anyway else.

And then we have people who deny that
but they say when other speak in tongues:

This is demonic! This is demons!
This is demons!

I say: But if it's demons,
then cast demons out.

No, we don't cast demons out.

How can you deny that...
What happened with all the demons?

Like, there were demons in the time of Jesus,
there were demons in times of the apostles,

and they cast out demons. Then we got
the canon, we got the Bible,

did demons suddenly just disappear?
No, they didn't.

We should still cast demons out.
But if you go and really study history,

you can see that we have 2000 years
with the Holy Spirit.

Yes, we celebrate Pentecost at the Azusa
Street 1901, what happened there,

but the Holy Spirit have been on earth
over 2000 years

and there have been always people
who have been healing the sick,

casting out demons and
speaking in tongues.

It did not disappeared with the apostles,
it did not disappeared with the canon,

with the Bible and it did not just come
to earth with Pentecost.

No, He have been there for 2000 years.
And I recommend you to go into church history

and look more of that, how it is.

I also recommend, as I wrote here,

where we tried to draw a picture
of the Book of Acts, and so on.

The book of Acts shows not only how
the early church was preaching and living,

but also what people did when they gave
their lives to Christ and were born-again.

It shows a life where they went through
persecution and hard times.

But we do still see how God took care
of His people’s needs, and filled them

with joy in the Holy Spirit
in the middle of the hard times.

We also see healing and deliverance
happening by the hands of the disciples

(not only the apostles. See Acts 9,
with a disciple named Ananias).

Because, often people say it disappeared
with the apostles,

but who gave Paul the Holy Spirit?
It was a disciple called Ananias.

In the Book of Acts 9 you read about that.
It was just a disciple who laid hand on Paul

so he could see again.
It was just a disciple like you and me

who prayed, baptized him in water
and laid hands on him

so Paul received the Spirit.
It was just a disciple.

So, it was not only for the apostles.
It was for everyone.

I love the Book of Acts, not more than
the gospels, not more than letters,

but the Book of Acts really gives
a picture of how the early disciples

were living. You don't see prosperity
gospel preached in the Book of Acts.

You see persecution. You see how they
were persecuted again, again and again.

And I know about persecution.
I've tasted a little of it.

We have fled from our own country
and we are now here in America

because of big, big persecution
in Denmark. We have seen persecution.

Of course, not on the same scale
as them, but...

I often preach about the persecution.
If you look a Jesus as a pastor,

He had a martyr percent over 90.
Over 90% in His church died as a martyr,

if you take the Twelve.
Judas took his own life and John was

the only one who lived a long life.
The rest of them died as martyrs.

But everyone of them experienced
being hated, being mocked,

being lied about. There are a lot of
false rumors about me on the internet,

about everyone. And also, therefore,
when I see a video like this

that is critical about other people,
I also say: Don't trust everything

you see on YouTube. Because I've
seen people twisted what I've said

and people share things out of context
and all of that.

Jesus have promised us that people
would lie and persecute us, and so on.

I love the life in the Book of Acts
because it's so real.

It's not in a big airplane,
flying to a big meetings -

it costs everything to follow God,
to follow Jesus

and how it was to be a disciple
led by the Holy Spirit.

And you see that no other places
exactly like in the Book of Acts.

But we need the truth and the Spirit
and this is the last chapter in this article

I've written here.
I'll continue.

My message to you out there is that you
don’t need to choose between the two sides

you see in the movie American Gospel:
Christ Alone.

Many years ago, when I left
the “faith movement”, as I often call it,

I was for a long time listening to some
of the preachers you see in the movie.

I even met some of them.
And what I heard, I really loved.

It was so good to finally get some good,
solid Bible teaching (some of it),

that I had been missing where I came from.
I loved the focus on the fear of God.

I loved the focus on the Cross. Yes, many
things I had been missing, I got from there.

But after a short time, I started to feel dry,
like something was missing.

I felt something was really wrong,
and then the Holy Spirit stopped me.

He showed me how I had just gone
from one side of the road to the other.

And I had now started to deny
the work of the Holy Spirit.

And I am so thankful that God
stopped me there.

Don’t make the same mistake I did, by leaving
one wrong side to go over to another.

Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Yes, we need the Word and that is important.

But we also need the Spirit.
We can not live without both.

We should worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
(John 4:24).

The story there, what happened was that
I started to see the Holy Spirit works,

I started to see power of God, people got
healed and people got delivered

and we saw beautiful things.
But I got disappointed by the faith movement.

I got disappointed by seeing so many liders
getting divorces and remarried

and just started in ministry. I got disappointed
of the lack of the Cross and the fear of God,

with some of the things, and I saw things
that were not good.

And it started a journey in me
where I left it, where I said:

I cannot be part of it. And there I started
to find some of the other preachers,

you see in the movie. And I listened
and I loved it.

I really, really loved it. There were
so many good things.

It was good to finally get some solid
Bible teaching, and so on.

But I felt something was missing,
after a short time. I really felt it.

And then we had a meeting in our house.
We had a house church at that time.

And we had a meeting of the first floor.
And there was a girl who fell down.

The Holy Spirit came and she fell down.
A demon was manifesting.

People were praying for her
to set her free from that demon.

When that happened I did not like it.
I went downstairs to come away from it,

to make some coffee. And when I was
down there, I said to God:

God, stop it. I don't like this anymore.
I don't want this.

I want to control it. I want it to look nice.
I want it to look beautiful.

I want it to be in order.
This is not in order.

Somebody is laying on the floor and
manifesting a demon. I don't like it.

And there, down in the kitchen,
when I walked up again, God stopped me.

The Holy Spirit stopped me. And God said:
Torben, can you not see what you've been

doing? You have gone from one side of
the road to another.

You have thrown the baby out
with the bathwater.

It was like how I felt it.
And I saw: What have happened?

Come on! To all of that teaching,
to all the things, I have come to a point

where I denied and I didn't want
the supernatural anymore.

I didn't want casting out demons
because it was not something

I could control. I just wanted to be
nice, in a box.

And there I just needed to repent.
That night, down in the kitchen,

making coffee, on the way upstairs,
I repented and said: Sorry God.

I have just gone from one side
of the road to the other.

I want to build on Your Word, Your truth,
but also the Spirit.

And in the Bible Jesus said:
These signs follow those who believe.

In my name they shall cast out demons
and I believed that.

No matter what any other preacher
says, I want to build on the Word.

No matter if some people have misbused it.
I know what Matthew is saying

that one day many will say: Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied,

healed the sick, have we have not done that
in Your name?

Apart from me, I never knew you.
But the problem was there,

you who commit lawlessness,
you who live in sin.

I know people can misbuse the real thing.
It happened before and it's going to happen again.

But, I want to build on the Word of God
and I don't want to stand in front of Jesus

one day, and He says: Why do you call me
Lord, Lord, if you don't do what I say?

And He have commanded us to preach
the gospel with words,

but He have also commanded us
to heal the sick.

He have also commanded us
to cast out demons.

I'm not like healing the sick freak
who's just focused on healing, healing, healing

or deliverance, deliverance, deliverance,
deliverance. I love Jesus

and I just want to see the Kingdom of God
to come.

And it's all about salvation, getting people
born again, sound and safe.

It's all about that. That is the main focus,
not healing, not deliverance, not that, but...

I love Jesus. Do you love Jesus?
If you love Jesus then obey Him.

And this is where I am.
If we love Jesus we need to obey Him.

And I had a time in my life where I did not
do any of those things.

But I saw it in the Bible and I said:
God, I need not to build on my life

and my experience.
I need to build on the Word of God.

And it started with the Word of God,
in my life. So, it was my journey.

I went out of it. Went from one place
there. And what I'm so thankful to say

now is that God is rising up something new,
something beautiful, where we have

both the Word and the Spirit together.
And we worship Him in both Spirit and in Truth.

And I'll continue here.

Take your Bible and read it for yourself.
You need to build on the Word of God alone,

no matter what your traditions says.

You also need the Spirit of Truth
to teach you the whole truth, to set you free.

Again, it is the Spirit and Truth.
Don’t get lost in the Word like many do today,

and like the religious people
at the time of Jesus did.

They studied the Word daily
waiting for their Messiah,

but when He stood there in front of them,
they could not recognize Him.

The Word without the Spirit
had blinded them, as we see so often today.

And then I have a quote what Jesus is
saying to the Pharisees here.

“You study the Scriptures diligently because
you think that in them you have eternal life.

These are the very Scriptures that testify
about Me, yet you refuse

to come to Me to have life.” (John 5:39-40)

This is the big, big problem.

I believe in the Word,
but we see a movement today

who builds on the Father, on the Son
and the Holy Scripture.

And not the Father, and the Son
and the Holy Spirit.

We should never throw the Holy Spirit
out for the sake of the Scripture.

I believe in the Word. But remember,
in the early church they did not walk around

with the New Testament. We have
hundreds years of history

where they did not got presented
to the New Testament.

They did not have it. There were
letters, there was this,

but it was very expensive. It was
not just something you'd copy.

Paul and Peter did not walk around
with the New Testament in their hands.

And even not the Old Testament.
I love the Word, but...

We should never depend more on
the Word than the Holy Spirit.

The Word and the Holy Spirit should
go together hand in hand.

Spirit and Truth.

If you only have the Word without
focus on the Spirit,

it is so, so easy to get lost.
It's so, so easy to get lost.

The same place, if you only have the Spirit
without the Word, you can also get lost.

And this is what we see. We see one place
where they focus too - Word, Word, Word

without the Spirit. Another place -
Spirit, Spirit, Spirit, without the Word.

And both of them would say: we have
equal Spirit and the Word,

but this is just my way of seeing it.
And this is the thing.

We need the Spirit and the Word.
We need both.

But people need first to be
introduced to the Spirit.

They need to hear the gospel
and then they need to repent.

And then they need to get baptized.
They need the Holy Spirit.

Because when the Holy Spirit comes
and the true life, He will open the Scripture.

And we need that. But I just want to say
for people to remember those two things -

Word and Spirit, Spirit and Word,
Word and Spirit, Spirit and Word.

The Word was not only for us to memorize
it in Greek and Hebrew and be quoted.

The Word was for us to be lived out.

There are people today like, they get
the Word and say: Yes, now I have

memorized the Word. I memorized it.
I can even in Greek and Hebrew.

Do you want to hear it?

But, that was never the idea.
Jesus did not speak the Word for us

to just sit and memorize it. He spoke
the Word for us to take it and believe it

and live it out. And it's really when we
live it out, like the Bible says,

if you only hear the Word and do not do it,
you are like a man looking at the mirror,

but as soon as you go away you have forgotten
what you saw. You are deceiving yourself.

There is not really a transformation.
But as soon as you actively go out

on the Word, the Word really becomes
alive. And this is what I love with

the Book of Acts and the whole
New Testament.

They were people with mistakes.
They were not perfect. There were issues.

There were conflicts. But you see the life
of Christ working in them.

And they were all willing to give their
life and die for this.

Paul didn't say: Oh, I love this world.
I love my airplane, I love my car,

I love my house, I love everything.
Jesus, please don't come back

because I love this life. No, Paul was
saying: Jesus, I long for You.

I long to come out of this tent
and I long to see You face to face.

But yes, I'll stay here, I want to do that
because other people also need to

experience You. Why? Because it's all
about Him. He is the life.

So, I added here: You need the Word,
but the Word needs to lead you to Jesus

so HE can give you life by the Spirit.
You now have both the Word and the Spirit

to teach you the whole truth.
And then I ended up with this.

I know it's been a very, very long video.

The normal Christian life
is what you find in the Word of God

- a life following Jesus - a life
free from sin, and I added:

free from porn, lying, stealing,
fornication, etc.

I want to say: Jesus did not come to
save us in our sins.

He came to save us from our sins.
And I have videos about this.

I will link together with this.
He came to set us free.

The first six years, when I repented
and came to faith, I got a new heart,

but I was struggling with sin,
I was not free.

I was really not free from sin, but
six years later, when I really...

It took me six years to get truly
born again. It could have happened

the same day if somebody was
preaching the gospel to me.

But when I really understood it,
when baptism came in and the Holy Spirit -

I really understood it.
It changed everything.

And I experienced a freedom where focus
was not: Oh, don't do that, don't do that...

The focus was Christ and
Christ have set me free.

So, Jesus came to set us free from our sins,
to create a new man, not save us in our sins

so we can go on sinning with bad conscience.
He came to cleanse us, to set us free.

I'll continue.
...filled with the Holy Spirit,

preaching the gospel, healing the sick,
casting out demons – an amazing life,

full of joy and full of persecution.
Because it comes with persecution.

Yes, Jesus never promised us an easy life,
but He has promised us that He is with us

through it all. If your life doesn’t look
like what we read in the book of Acts –

if the way you preach the gospel
and the way people respond to the gospel

doesn’t look like what you see there,
then there is something wrong,

no matter what others tell you.

May you seek Him until you find Him.

That was my text and that was
what I want to say here.

No matter what other people tell you,
we are all going to stand alone

in front of God one day, not with our
church denomination,

not with our pastors,
not with our leaders.

And I would say - everyone who get born
into an organization,

or born into a... what is called... a church
denomination

will always believe that church denomination
is preaching the whole truth

and nothing but the truth. Because
when you get born again

what you see around you is what you think
is the only truth.

But I want to say, I don't think that one
organization has the whole truth.

I believe the whole truth is found by
getting a little from everyone.

And my first lesson on the online
"Pioneer School" you find on

TheLastReformation.com, the online
"Pioneer School", there I talked about

the church history. I talked about
in the beginning of the church

we have the Book of Acts, the revival
Christianity we read there.

But then everything changed with
Constantine and we got the Catholic church

where everything was changed.
We got a pope, bishops, priests, nuns, monks.

Where do you see that in the Bible?
You don't.

It got changed. The baptism got changed.
The Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues,

gifts got changed. Everything got changed.

But then we've got the Reformation
with Martin Luther in fifteen hundreds

at Wittenberg church in Germany and
out of that we've got the Lutheran church

I grew up in. And yes, the pope went out
and we are, somehow, happy for that,

but Martin Luther did not reform the church
back to what we see in the Bible.

He did not reform it back.
He changed a few things.

We've got justification by faith but there
were many things he did not do.

But the reformation did not stop there.
It continued.

But some people are still building
on the Reformation, with Luther,

and don't see that something
came after Luther.

We got the Anabaptists who brought
the biblical baptism of believers back.

Something Martin Luther did not do,
but the Anabaptists did.

And then we just saw a move by move,
by God,

where He was bringing the church back
to what we read here in the Bible.

And I think this is what we need to
build on. This is the time we are living in

now. And Jesus is not coming back
for a whore, a prostitute.

He is coming back for a bride,
a holy bride, set aside for Him.

And I believe that the last time,
what we will see will be strong and stronger

than what we see in the Book of Acts.
I believe that. Are we there yet?

Not there yet. Have we seen
beautiful things? Yes, we have.

Are on the way? Yes, we are.
Are we going to continue until we see it?

Yes, we are. We love Christ and we want
the world to see what it is

when people really live with Him.
