-
This film is a wakeup bell that tolls for
you to awaken within the dream of life.
-
Sadhana, an ancient Sanskrit word, points to
the practices that lead to True Awakening.
-
But here's the Paradox: There's nothing
to do, except become aware of what
-
your conditioned mind is already doing.
-
The operations of the Mind are
realized to be empty of self.
-
These operations are sensations,
perceptions, reactions, as well as
-
the witnessing part of the Mind.
-
Sadhana, regardless of the technique
or practice, is simply making all of these
-
unconscious mind processes conscious.
Through single-pointed presence and
-
deep surrender to what is, it transcends
any single spiritual system or tradition.
-
In its pure Essence it invites you
to let go of everything you know,
-
to enter a don't know mind.
Imagine letting go of duality,
-
of good and bad, of that evaluating mind,
letting go of preferences,
-
the very root of the 'I' thought. This is
radical, a complete reversal from the
-
relentless goal oriented pursuits
of modern Life.
-
The you that you think you are must fail,
surrender, move from the driver's seat
-
to the passenger seat.
-
What emerges is life itself, the great
reality, the kingdom always here,
-
yet which has been obscured by the
chaotic whirlpool of the mind.
-
This truth can't be known or understood
by the analytical mind, because
-
the analytical mind is the filter,
the reducing valve that creates
-
the illusion of separation.
We may start with practices,
-
with techniques that interrupt
the pattern of you, clearing
-
unconscious patterns or Samskaras.
-
But eventually in Sadhana, you even
let go of the practices.
-
The purpose of Sadhana is to reveal
the unconscious processes of the mind,
-
But these very practices if misunderstood,
can become part of the unconscious mind,
-
if the ego becomes attached to them,
creating a spiritualized ego.
-
Awakening is not something to attain.
-
It is a recognizing, an awakening to
what you've always been.
-
In this space of openness, of stillness,
you create the optimal conditions
-
for awakening to your true nature.
-
Why engage in sadhana? Why awaken?
-
We awaken to be free of suffering, to live
a life that is unscripted and not robotic.
-
To end the dream of the separated self and
to come to the kingdom that is here now.
-
To find true peace that is not contingent
on anything in the Matrix of the Mind.
