00:02:10.087 --> 00:02:13.048 It seems right but it's actually wrong. 00:02:13.512 --> 00:02:15.108 And 60 years ago, 00:02:15.108 --> 00:02:18.090 an Air Force researcher, Gilbert Daniels, 00:02:18.090 --> 00:02:21.080 proved to the world just how wrong this really is, 00:02:21.080 --> 00:02:22.995 and what it was costing us. 00:02:23.835 --> 00:02:25.500 Here's how he did it. 00:02:26.530 --> 00:02:30.360 He studied over 4,000 pilots 00:02:31.330 --> 00:02:34.744 and he measured them on ten dimensions of size, 00:02:35.334 --> 00:02:37.750 and he asked a very simple question: 00:02:38.750 --> 00:02:42.670 how many of these pilots are average on all ten dimensions?
