Hi everyone, and welcome to my video on how you can help this channel grow and why. Now, before we get going, I'm going to ask you all to hit like, and share this video with anyone who you feel is going to be interested in it, as well as to squish that bell notification icon, right after petting the subscription button so we can see more of each other and that's the obvious way to help this channel grow, but that's not why I'm making this video. Unfortunately, pets don't come with a manual when we get them and there's no real education for pet owners, although I am working on a series of online courses for pet owners that I hope would provide that, but those are at least a year out from being completed, so for now, there's nothing like that. Most of us just get a pet and we rely on what we learn from our parents, from our childhood, or from the internet on how to take care of them. Now, the TLDR version is I started a clips channel we're are going to go short videos, clips from my longer form content as well as some original cute cats and stuff called HVVet clips and the link to it is in the description below, so please go ahead and click on that and hit subscribe to that channel, hit the bell notification icon, like the videos on it and help me kickstart it so that the YouTube algorithm can take it from there. Now, here is why you should take time out of your very, very busy day to click on a link and subscribe to a channel and help it grow and bring more eyes to my content, and the simple reason is that my content is helpful. The videos I make provide information that makes the lives of animals better by giving the people who love them, the tools and information and knowledge that they need to better take care of their furry friends and I do this for free and I make this available to everyone in the world. My channel is on YouTube, YouTube is visible by people in countries where modern veterinary care, the way we understand it in the west, doesn't exist. After all the veterinary professions, specifically the small animal veterinary profession, doesn't really exist in the same way it does in North America, UK, Australia and very many other places. So by making this content available, we can help people who live in developing countries, who are still interested in pets welfare, take care of their pets better and that's amazing, but we can also help people here in the West, you know North America, not everybody can afford to go to the vet or not as often as they should. Not everybody has access to vet clinic where they have the luxury of time to spend with them. For example, at my own practice, our consultation are 40 minutes and then there is often- if there is a problem identifying, there's a follow-up phone call where either I or one of my colleagues takes other 40 to 60 minutes to talk about things with the client, so we usually spend like anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours talking with the client whenever there is any kind of issue with their pet. Now the industry standard for veterinary consultation is 15 to 20 minutes and some clinics do phone calls and some don't. Not every veterinarian has a luxury of time and circumstance to provide the kind of information, that we know we need to, to provide the level of detail that I would like every pet owner to have, so that they can make rational, intelligent, educated decisions about their pet's welfare and I think it makes life better for everyone who cares about animals. That is the value that I feel that my channel brings to the world and I make my videos in a way that- I image it being used as consult room tools. [To Claudia] Claudia, why do you have to sit in from of me? Can you sit slightly this side? Thank you. I make my videos so that it can be used as consult room tools so they can be something that a veterinarian refers their client to so that when they don't have the time, that they really feel the need to take with the case, they can utilize these videos as a tool to create that value for the client- that care for the client and the patient, that they could otherwise and in my own practices, me and my colleagues definitely use these videos, we offer clients to them and the clients are very, very happy that we do and they can always phone us, if they have any questions or any follow-ups. So, these are really, really valuable consult room tools and they are valuable at home tools as well, cause let's face it, you probably remember about 20% of what a doctor tells you during a doctor visit and every time you get home, it's all gone so it's really nice to have references when you get home. You can do some good in the world by getting my videos in front of the eyes of more people who have pets and love them and want to take better care of them and again, the way to do it besides the straight forward process of liking, and subscribing to my main channel, is to utilize and help me leverage the YouTube algorithm by going to that clips channel that we just started, again, the link is in the description below and to subscribe to that, like it, share it but mostly subscribe and hit that notification icon and just let the YouTube algorithm do the rest and that will get my content in front of more eyes and redirect more people to my main channel where they can learn about how to take care of their pets and then everybody's life gets a little bit better. Thank you very much for watching, guys! Thank you for your assistance and I hope to see you soon with more helpful videos. (plastic rustling)
