Applaus
rixx: Welcome. Welcome to the 35th
Chaos Communication Congress
laugh
rufus: It's good to see you.
rixx: We have to start with two
announcements. First of: the two of us
want to make this opening as good as we
possibly can. So we need to do it in
German. Sorry to everybody who doesn't
speek German. We do have live translations
in English and in French. So if you look
for translations in the Wiki you will find
them, and you will be provided with live
translations by our awesome translation
angels.

The second announcement is for our
legal security. We've learned in the
talks from the last years
that your faces are personalized
biometric data.
As we can see some of your faces from
here, I'd say roughly
the first 10 rows or so
rufus: Yeah, 10 rows, that's it.
rixx: ... we need to inform you,
that we can see you and
we'll remember your faces.
And that you have the right of
extinction and the right to forget
according to european data protection law
which came into effect this year.
And if you want to use your rights
I would please you to just stand up in to
rows in front of the stage after the
opening.
rufus: The one row in this floor,
the other one there.
rixx: One for Rufus, one for me.
rufus: I'll take the longer row then.
rixx: If all of the involved would
bring a Tschunk with them to the front,
we can guarantee, that by tomorrow
we won't remember anything, especially
not your faces.
applaus
rufus: Yeah, nice you're here! So
now, when the room is full, it seems
a little bit bigger, right?
rixx: Yeah, it's got something.
rufus: A warm welcome to all
of you, to the ladies and gentleman at
the radio stations at home and to the
participants of the congress everywhere.
Which watch us in their hacker spaces
or maybe from their computer at home.
It's nice that you're there too.
Even if you can't be here.
Yeah let's do it like this
fast, painlass, band-aid-at-the-doctor
kind of style maybe.
rixx: Let's do this.
rufus: The year wasn't really
that awesome, wasn't it?
rixx: Some of you probably
hat a super year, we don't want to take
that from you, at all.
rufus: Yes, if you look to the modern
TV & radio devices, the year looks
like another evidence, that we're
- let me say it cautiously -
arrived in difficult times.
The BKA got some new
government trojans to the start.
The police brought tanks.
rixx: Who doesn't want to drive a tank?
