Hello guys! I'm Sayuri from SAYULOG. Welcome to SAYULOG♡ This time, I’m here in Taoyuan City where is familiar with the Taoyuan Airport you guys use when you come to Taiwan, and I’m collaborating with Taoyuan City Government again. I would like to go with you on a 1Day tour around Taoyuan's Instagrammable spots, historical spots, and the night market you guys love. Then...let's go~٩( ᐛ )و --- Lotus Farm Ranch --- I found that! (In the high season, ) about 1,000 people visit here every day! Amazing. I’m going to ride that leaf and take pictures. Oh, is it like that? Oh, I'm sorry, it's quite a big deal... Oh, I'm sorry... I'm sorry because I wanted to ride. Oh, thank you. I have to find a place that I can keep my balance. When it's not the leaves season, you can take pictures like this. In the lotus leaves season, it’s a great photo spot where you can take such wonderful pictures. You can be an Instagrammer with these nice pics! Wow. This is Perfume Lotus Flower Coffee. How cute♡ Please take your time. Thank you! This is a real flower. Nice fragrance. Coffee (actually it was latte). Cookies. What is on the latte? It's the lotus flower pollen. Amazing! Its pollen is contained. Hmm, it's interesting. Great. Delicious! --- Lunping Cultural Landscape Park --- A photo spot where you can feel the art that blends with nature known for the "Taoyuan Art Festival". Artists from overseas also participate in it. Some of the works are exhibited here even after the event over. "House+Cafe since 1910" The building was named so because it was built in 1910. Originally, this was the residence of a Japanese doctor. At that time, it was a time of war, so the doctor back to Japan after the war over. This building was built in 1910 (Meiji 43) as a Western-style building built of red bricks that was popular in Japan at that time. Now, it can be enjoyed as a cafe-restaurant and exhibition space for young contemporary artists. --- Zhongli City Story Museum "Lijing Town" --- Zhongli Japanese-style Police Department Dormitory The current name is "Lijing Town" This was a police dormitory under the Japanese rule because there is the Zhongli branch office just opposite side from here. It was built from 1941 to 1942, around the latter half of the Japanese era. The government had no fund since in the middle of the war, so it was built with donations from citizens, not the public fund. There are private entrances for each family in the police dormitory! << Entrance 1 >> The room right next to the entrance was originally a guest room. And here was a room. Here is the entrance to the dormitory for another family. You can enter here. This is the entrance of that. << Entrance 2 >> --- Jing Fu Gong Temple --- This is the only place in Taiwan that was constructed by competition, the part which created by the carpenter in Chaozhou is in the foreground and by the carpenter in Zhangzhou is in the back. This is a shrine that combines the respective styles of two regions in Fujian where each carpenter is from. Look over there. If the roof is so gorgeous like this, it’s a Taoist shrine. The carpenter from Chaozhou worked in the foreground, and there are seven layers of beams. << Created by a carpenter from Chaozhou. 7 layers >> 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Wow, I can see that! There are 9 layers of beams in the back. As you can see, this is a building that combines the different techniques by two carpenters. << Created by a carpenter in Zhangzhou. 9 layers >> Probably this is the only place in Taiwan. Normally, a carpenter alone can’t create such a shrine. This shrine is an artwork by two carpenters and wonderful masters. At the other shrines of today have built with round columns. These octagonal columns are extremely rare. << A rare octagonal column >> I see it's an octagon! It has maintained the same shape since the Jiaqing era (the early 1800s). After the Japanese came to Taiwan, all shrines had built with round columns to adopt the Japanese style. Since the Japanese come? Ah, I heard many parts had adjusted (in Japanese style). I got it! Therefore, the octagonal columns that were remained here are special. --- Taoyuan Tourist Night Market --- I’ll enjoy eating♡ << It’s Night market time!! >> Taoyuan Night Market loved by locals.
