Gregory Bateson 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 were pictured here in Papua New Guinea. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I did this work in America. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I spent two years [br]in the renewalist church in Chicago, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 another two years[br]in one of the Bay area. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I went to Sunday Morning services. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I was a member of House priaire. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I was in the prayer's circle. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I hang out with people. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I prayed with people. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I really want to know how[br]their God became real to them. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 So let me begin by asking, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 who is the God in the church like this? 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 God is God, God is big, [br]God is mighty, and holy and beyond. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 God is also a person among people, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 The Pastor in this kind of church [br]want you to experience God 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 the way the earliest cycle of experience Jesus, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 They walk with Jesus. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 They eat with Jesus. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 They talk with Jesus, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 He was his friend, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 These pastors will tell you that 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 You should put out [br]a cup of coffee for God, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 You should have a beer with God 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Go for a walk with God, hang out. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Do the kind of thing with God 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 that you get do with anyone who [br]you want to know as a person. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 He cares about all the kinds of stuff [br]in your life. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 the little stuff, where you want to go [br]in your summer vacation 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 what shirt you want to wear [br]tomorrow morning. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 you can talk to him about that. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 So I wanted to know how people learn to [br]interact with God 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and how they felt God [br]speaking back to them. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I knew they can learn [br]the newcomers came to this church, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and they say things like: 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 "God talk to me." 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and six months later they would say : 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 "I recognize God's voice the way I [br]recognize my mum's voice on the phone . " 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 But I thought the church's teach 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and some of thoughts[br]you really think is yours, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 They are really God's thoughts being given to you 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and your job is to figure out[br]who is the God. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and the way people did talk
