CLUB DEPORTIVO MORON
ESTADIO NUEVO FRANCISCO URBANO
You always find what you are looking for.
Here you feel like you belong
to a place and a team.
I played at River Plate for one year.
In the first division skill is essential.
In this team I found more humanity.
They appreciate people over things.
We have a wonderful group and atmosphere.
This motivates you to be here.
Deportivo Morón is my second home.
It is a way to disconnect from my work
and home activities in the company
of good people.
This motivates me to be here.
You forget everything
when you enter the pitch
or when spending time
and laughing with the girls.
We find friendship and also commitment.
This place is the meeting spot
for my friends and I.
Despite the differences that I have
with some of the girls,
this is a nice group.
We are close.
It is a neighborhood club
that welcomes children and youth...
PRESIDENT OF CLUB DEPORTIVO MORON
...not supported by formal institutions
including schools and families.
Some children stay here all day.
They find in the culture of the club
the social and emotional support missing
in other community institutions.
In fact it is organized
as a social club owned by the community.
Neither the state
nor the private sector owns it.
I am lucky to remain after the changes
of the stadium...
MANAGER
...the staff including the team manager,
and everything else.
Despite everything I am still here
remembering all of them.
Morón is my house.
It is always seven blocks away
whether the old stadium or the new one.
Before the stadium was named
in homage to Francisco Urbano
a past president of the club.
Now the new stadium is named
Nuevo Francisco Urbano.
He lost part of his personal property
covering the needs of the club.
The stadium name honors him.
At first I decided to train women
as a work opportunity.
But soon I found interest in women’s
soccer because it was new for me.
After it became my desire to teach women
how to play the game,
because I realized that some play well
and others had no knowledge about it.
Today the objective is
to give women’s soccer an identity
and I think we have it already.
One can be politically correct
by saying women can play soccer
because we open the door for it,
but the reality is that
they opened those doors by themselves
as an inclusive action
to be part of the club
and institutional life at Deportivo Morón.
Inclusion is important for us
because of equal rights,
women’s role in society,
and most importantly they opened the doors
of the club by themselves.
Like other Argentinian clubs,
this one kept its doors closed for years.
For its entire history.
My first time on the pitch I felt so proud
because I fulfilled my dream
to represent Morón.
This gives me the strength to continue.
The first time was in Barrio Parque.
I felt happy and anxious
to be one of the 11
players selected by Seba.
I played like never before
and it will be hard to duplicate.
After finishing the match I told Seba that
this is what I expected from soccer
and I will always be grateful to him.
Wearing the shirt is inexplicable.
You show your skills.
You play for the team.
The colors instill pride in the team.
Every touch comes from the heart.
The shirt means you need to give
everything for the team.
Fear is not allowed at that moment.
Winning is the only motive.
This is my third tournament
playing with Morón.
In my first I was the top goal scorer.
In the second I was named best player.
Soon we will finish the tournament
and again I am almost the top goal scorer.
Playing as a team is what makes you win.
Matches are won as a team.
Women’s soccer does not pay much.
My interest is more personal.
Wearing the shirt means friendship,
being supportive,
and accomplishing what
I liked it since I was young
and with so much love.
