On a computer, you can do

all sorts of things; play games,

do your homework,

or talk to friends!

All these things are done using

computer programmes.

But what are programmes made from?

Computer programs are made out of their

own special language called code!

"Please walk Mr.Mouse"

A computer can't think for itself

and you can't talk to it like a person.

It needs computer programmes so it knows

what to do.

"Step 100: Backwards"

Code is made out of words and numbers.

Sometimes its made from words

you already know!

You can learn how to put these words

in order so the computer understands

what to do.

"Step 10: Forwards"

You can change the numbers and the words

to choose what happens in your

own programme!

It is your code so you can choose.
