Videogame review starts, Xisco speaks Hello guys, and welcome again to another review, as you have seen, today I’m reviewing Half-Life 2. First of all, let’s get into the story of the game. The story takes place in a dystopian future, after the events of Half-Life 1, a race from space has taken over the world, this race is called The Combine. In the game we take the role of the same character in Half-Life 1, called Gordon Freeman. At the start of the game, we can see that the combine has enslaved humanity, forcing them to work for them. Now let’s get on with the game itself. The game was released in 16 of november, in 2004 for the PC platform, and one year later in XBOX, finally, in 2010 it got released for Linux and Mac. Let’s talk now about what the game offers: A huge variety of weapons Tons of vehicles A great story And the most important one: the game offers a new mechanic which is the HEV armor. Now let’s talk about the maps, to start, the maps are very different from each other, however, the enemies are always the same, which makes it a worse experience. Now we have already talked about what the game offers, so let’s go on with the graphics and sound Let’s start with the graphics: The graphics are pretty good, knowing they are from 2004, and they are better than some actual games. The graphics, are obviously 3D, and not 2D. The player has a huge selection of options to configure the graphics, to the mode he wants so his computer can play the game. Now let’s start with the sound: Half-Life 2 features a soundtrack, composed by Kelly Bailey. In my opinion, all the music is focused on giving an immersive experience to the game. Now let’s go with the final mark, or the final verdict, whatever you want to call it. In what the game offers, i would give it a nine out of ten In graphics i would give it an eight out of ten In sound i would give it a ten out of ten, I mean, it’s just perfect! Now the real mark: I would give it a 9 out of 10, Half-Life 2 is a game that even though it is pretty old, it still offers a great story great action, and is still considered one of the best games in the video game history by the community. Here is my review, and i hope you liked it!
