WEBVTT 00:00:10.160 --> 00:00:14.360 We have talked about the Pale King a lot on this channel, but today he’s going to get 00:00:14.360 --> 00:00:15.900 his very own video. 00:00:15.900 --> 00:00:19.920 But we’re not going to talk about how he had sex with a tree, or how he killed millions 00:00:19.930 --> 00:00:24.420 of his own children, or that time he built a shitty tramway that only goes about ten 00:00:24.420 --> 00:00:25.420 feet. 00:00:25.420 --> 00:00:29.420 No, instead we are going to talk about the fate of the Pale King. 00:00:29.420 --> 00:00:34.239 The Grey Mourner in the Resting Grounds implies that the Pale King fled from his kingdom. 00:00:34.239 --> 00:00:37.600 This lines up with what is written in the game’s manual, which mentions what happened 00:00:37.600 --> 00:00:40.250 to the Pale King as Hallownest fell to ruins. 00:00:40.250 --> 00:00:43.890 It explains that he abandoned his subjects and went into hiding. 00:00:43.890 --> 00:00:48.379 Anyone hoping to find the Pale King would face a journey perilous beyond imagining. 00:00:48.380 --> 00:00:49.380 And well… 00:00:50.640 --> 00:00:55.800 ♫Frolic by Luciano Michelini♫ 00:00:55.800 --> 00:00:58.140 This fucking joke got my video claimed 😭 00:00:58.140 --> 00:01:01.579 The exact timeline of when all of this happened is a bit hazy. 00:01:01.579 --> 00:01:06.030 There are corpses in the Ancient Basin of bugs begging for the Pale King to return, 00:01:06.030 --> 00:01:09.210 so the infection hadn’t completely taken over when he left. 00:01:09.210 --> 00:01:12.979 At some point the gates to the City of Tears were closed, possibly as a way to try and 00:01:12.979 --> 00:01:14.750 keep the infection out. 00:01:14.750 --> 00:01:19.070 This could explain why some of the bugs in the City of Tears resorted to cannibalism. 00:01:19.070 --> 00:01:22.940 Relic Seeker Lemm tells us that before the city collapsed the bugs took to writing on 00:01:22.940 --> 00:01:27.469 spider silk instead of stone tablets, but that the moisture in some of the towers has 00:01:27.469 --> 00:01:28.829 ruined most of these writings. 00:01:28.829 --> 00:01:32.970 So in other words, these bugs are complete morons and we have no writings from when the 00:01:32.970 --> 00:01:34.410 city fell. 00:01:34.410 --> 00:01:37.409 Relic Seeker Lemm mentions that he has found no mention of the Hollow Knight beyond the 00:01:37.409 --> 00:01:38.780 statue in City of Tears. 00:01:38.780 --> 00:01:43.679 So, as far as we can tell, the King went into hiding sometime while all of this was going 00:01:43.679 --> 00:01:47.229 down, and that some of his subjects still retained their control over the Radiance. 00:01:47.229 --> 00:01:50.189 Of course, we know where the Pale King went. 00:01:50.189 --> 00:01:54.259 His corpse can be found inside of the White Palace found inside of a Kingsmould. 00:01:54.259 --> 00:01:57.659 This opens a whole new can of worms that we have to discuss. 00:01:57.659 --> 00:02:01.619 There is this idea that the White Palace hidden inside of the Kingsmould is just a memory 00:02:01.619 --> 00:02:02.880 and not the real White Palace. 00:02:02.880 --> 00:02:06.720 I have mentioned this idea a couple of times in my other videos, but I don’t believe 00:02:06.720 --> 00:02:08.560 it to be correct at all. 00:02:08.560 --> 00:02:13.070 First of all, if this one is just a dream, then what happened to the real White Palace? 00:02:13.070 --> 00:02:16.920 Relic Seeker Lemm tells us that the palace seems to have just vanished. 00:02:16.920 --> 00:02:19.849 Does this mean there is a second White Palace somewhere that we haven’t seen yet? 00:02:19.849 --> 00:02:23.460 Did I just happen to miss it behind a breakable wall in Greenpath? 00:02:23.460 --> 00:02:27.659 This argument makes less sense than just saying the one in the dream is the real one. 00:02:27.659 --> 00:02:31.739 When we try to Dream Nail the Kingsmould without the Awakened Dream nail, we can see that there 00:02:31.739 --> 00:02:33.680 is some kind of barrier over it. 00:02:33.680 --> 00:02:37.210 This is the same barrier we see over the three Dreamers. 00:02:37.210 --> 00:02:41.870 Seems like someone was intentionally trying to block this dream off from the outside world. 00:02:41.870 --> 00:02:45.920 This only makes sense if it’s a real place and not just some random memory. 00:02:45.920 --> 00:02:50.260 The Pale King in the White Palace drops the Kingsoul, which the White Lady recognizes 00:02:50.260 --> 00:02:52.879 as being connected to the real Pale King. 00:02:52.879 --> 00:02:57.730 Why would the real Pale King be hiding in a random memory and not the real White Palace? 00:02:57.730 --> 00:03:01.890 The White Palace itself contains a memory sealed away in the Path of Pain. 00:03:01.890 --> 00:03:04.390 Why would a memory be sealed inside another memory? 00:03:04.390 --> 00:03:07.709 What is this, Inception... but with bugs? 00:03:07.709 --> 00:03:11.890 Anyway, why would a Kingsmould even have this memory from the Pale King in the first place? 00:03:11.890 --> 00:03:15.360 Doesn’t really seem like something the Pale King would just mention during a casual game 00:03:15.360 --> 00:03:17.250 of Dominos or something. 00:03:17.250 --> 00:03:21.260 Dying in the White Palace counts as a real death, which I think anchors the White Palace 00:03:21.260 --> 00:03:23.010 to reality in some way. 00:03:23.010 --> 00:03:27.629 And we also know that the Pale King was able to somehow place the Radiance inside of the 00:03:27.629 --> 00:03:29.180 Hollow Knight. 00:03:29.180 --> 00:03:32.489 So why can’t he place the White Palace inside of the Kingsmould? 00:03:32.489 --> 00:03:36.650 It seems to me like the King definitely had the capability to put his palace in the Dream 00:03:36.650 --> 00:03:37.650 world. 00:03:37.650 --> 00:03:41.829 But that’s enough of arguing with actual evidence, it’s time to start speculating 00:03:41.829 --> 00:03:45.300 about some of the more obscure matters surrounding the Pale King. 00:03:45.300 --> 00:03:49.360 The Pale King’s corpse is found hunched over on his throne in the White Palace. 00:03:49.360 --> 00:03:54.079 Now I am not a biologist, but I’m pretty sure things don’t just die for no reason. 00:03:54.079 --> 00:03:57.320 I guess the conservative view towards the Pale King’s death would be to say that he 00:03:57.320 --> 00:03:59.120 just withered away. 00:03:59.120 --> 00:04:02.990 The White Lady describes Hallownest’s ruin as lasting far longer than the existence of 00:04:02.990 --> 00:04:06.780 the kingdom, so the Pale King has probably been there a long time. 00:04:06.780 --> 00:04:10.750 But I think I have an explanation that makes at least some sense. 00:04:10.750 --> 00:04:11.750 The Void. 00:04:11.750 --> 00:04:15.960 Let’s start by establishing that the Void and the Pale King are enemies. 00:04:15.960 --> 00:04:18.459 The lore tablet in the King’s Workshop reads: 00:04:18.459 --> 00:04:21.030 “VOID, yours is the power opposed.” 00:04:21.030 --> 00:04:25.620 In this line, I believe that the Pale King is saying that the Void is a force opposed 00:04:25.620 --> 00:04:27.000 to himself. 00:04:27.000 --> 00:04:31.160 The Pale King is described as a pale light, akin to the Radiance. 00:04:31.160 --> 00:04:35.430 We see that the Radiance and the Void aren’t exactly pen pals, from both her Dream Nail 00:04:35.430 --> 00:04:39.090 dialogue and the fact that the Void completely fucks her up. 00:04:39.090 --> 00:04:42.590 So it would make sense that the Void was also enemies with the Pale King. 00:04:42.590 --> 00:04:46.760 Or it might be that the Void opposes any sort of life in general, as it appears as though 00:04:46.760 --> 00:04:49.120 some bugs have been killed by the void. 00:04:49.120 --> 00:04:53.660 Regardless, I think it’s safe to say that the void has the potential to kill the Pale 00:04:53.660 --> 00:04:54.660 King. 00:04:54.660 --> 00:04:55.810 Okay, cool. 00:04:55.810 --> 00:05:00.100 But that doesn’t really matter if we can’t place void in the throne room with the Pale 00:05:00.100 --> 00:05:00.940 King. 00:05:01.260 --> 00:05:04.120 [Saved by the Bell credits plays to indicate that the video is over] 00:05:04.120 --> 00:05:05.360 But we can! 00:05:05.370 --> 00:05:07.510 Look at those black balls floating around! 00:05:07.510 --> 00:05:09.770 That’s void, people! 00:05:09.770 --> 00:05:11.270 Well, maybe. 00:05:11.270 --> 00:05:15.919 In my Mask Maker video, I mentioned that there are black balls floating around, stating that 00:05:15.919 --> 00:05:18.120 I thought they were evidence of void. 00:05:18.120 --> 00:05:22.520 In the Ancient Basin and the Abyss, there are little black balls floating around everywhere 00:05:22.520 --> 00:05:24.160 to imply the presence of void. 00:05:24.160 --> 00:05:28.139 But someone has since pointed out to me that these black balls found in the Mask Maker’s 00:05:28.139 --> 00:05:30.569 room can be seen in several other rooms. 00:05:30.569 --> 00:05:35.120 It’s in the Stag Station in Dirtmouth, as well as several indoor rooms found in the 00:05:35.120 --> 00:05:36.120 game. 00:05:36.120 --> 00:05:39.320 So I don’t think the particles in the Mask Maker’s room are a very reliable piece of 00:05:39.320 --> 00:05:40.320 evidence. 00:05:40.320 --> 00:05:43.470 But things are a little different with the Pale King’s throne room. 00:05:43.470 --> 00:05:45.700 First of all, the throne room is dark. 00:05:45.700 --> 00:05:49.180 So dark that the Knight pulls out the Lumafly Lantern. 00:05:49.180 --> 00:05:51.550 This is very peculiar for sure. 00:05:51.550 --> 00:05:54.940 The only other area in the White Palace I can find that is this dark is the hallway 00:05:54.940 --> 00:05:58.080 to the King’s Workshop where he worked on the void constructs. 00:05:58.080 --> 00:06:02.720 Whether or not this means there is void in the room is up in the air. 00:06:02.720 --> 00:06:06.780 You don’t need the lantern for the Abyss, so it might be a moot point. 00:06:06.780 --> 00:06:10.509 Second, the black balls in this room are actually a little different from the ones we see in 00:06:10.509 --> 00:06:12.509 other parts of Hallownest. 00:06:12.509 --> 00:06:19.169 The black dust balls fade in and out of existence, where as void balls grow and shrink. 00:06:19.169 --> 00:06:21.759 Now just look at the balls in the throne room. 00:06:21.760 --> 00:06:23.540 That’s textbook shrinkage people! 00:06:23.540 --> 00:06:26.520 [Seinfeld credits play because I made a reference to a popular joke from the show and also because it’s a running gag throughout this video] 00:06:26.520 --> 00:06:30.840 On top of that these void balls can be much larger than the dust balls. 00:06:30.840 --> 00:06:35.800 After intensely studying balls for about twenty minutes, I can conclude that these particles 00:06:35.800 --> 00:06:38.560 in the throne room are in fact void. 00:06:38.560 --> 00:06:42.550 If that isn’t enough proof, there are also pillars of black smoke in the room. 00:06:42.550 --> 00:06:45.720 This is yet another effect that is only found near void. 00:06:45.720 --> 00:06:50.680 Hopefully my speculation hasn’t lost you yet, because this is where shit gets good. 00:06:50.680 --> 00:06:54.520 If there is indeed void in the throne room, then where did it come from? 00:06:54.520 --> 00:06:59.509 Well, I have a few theories, two of which revolve around Kingsmoulds found in the game. 00:06:59.509 --> 00:07:03.180 We see a grand total of eleven Kingsmoulds in the White Palace. 00:07:03.180 --> 00:07:07.580 There is one standing guard at the entrance, another one shortly afterwards, two guarding 00:07:07.580 --> 00:07:11.650 the memory in the Path of Pain, and then seven corpses outside of the throne room. 00:07:11.650 --> 00:07:15.860 It seems a bit strange that the Kingsmoulds found near the Pale King are dead, but not 00:07:15.860 --> 00:07:17.790 the ones that are further away. 00:07:17.790 --> 00:07:22.160 It might be that the void within the Kingsmoulds was able to escape its confinements. 00:07:22.160 --> 00:07:26.169 The Pale King’s presence drew the void within these Kingsmould to him, and that’s why 00:07:26.169 --> 00:07:29.479 it escaped from these Kingsmoulds and not the other ones. 00:07:29.479 --> 00:07:30.990 But there are a few issues with this theory. 00:07:30.990 --> 00:07:34.530 Did the Pale King not realize that this could happen? 00:07:34.530 --> 00:07:38.690 We sort of have to concede that the Pale King is an idiot for this theory to work. 00:07:38.690 --> 00:07:43.150 And while he might be kind of an asshole, I don’t think he’s an idiot. 00:07:43.150 --> 00:07:47.569 On top of that, the Kingsmould corpses have pool of Void around them, so is the Void even 00:07:47.569 --> 00:07:49.479 moving into the throne room? 00:07:49.479 --> 00:07:51.389 Or does it just do nothing? 00:07:51.389 --> 00:07:53.629 So that’s one possible theory. 00:07:53.629 --> 00:07:56.580 Not exactly air tight, but I think it’s plausible. 00:07:56.580 --> 00:08:00.830 However, there is one more Kingsmould we need to talk about: the corpse found in the Ancient 00:08:00.830 --> 00:08:02.080 Basin. 00:08:02.080 --> 00:08:07.479 Like I said earlier, this Kingsmould was used by the Pale King to hide himself and his castle. 00:08:07.479 --> 00:08:11.530 But this corpse looks quite different from the corpses found in the throne room. 00:08:11.530 --> 00:08:15.000 This Kingsmould has giant void tendrils connected to it. 00:08:15.000 --> 00:08:19.629 It seems to me that this is way more void than you would get from one Kingsmould. 00:08:19.629 --> 00:08:22.850 I think these tendrils are seeping into the Kingsmould. 00:08:22.850 --> 00:08:27.690 In other words, the void from the Abyss actually made its way into the dream inside of the 00:08:27.690 --> 00:08:29.409 Kingsmould and reached the Pale King. 00:08:29.409 --> 00:08:31.990 Now that’s dedication, I must say. 00:08:31.990 --> 00:08:36.710 This theory also grants more significance to the lighthouse keeper in the Abyss. 00:08:36.710 --> 00:08:40.880 When we first reach the Abyss, the light in the lighthouse is turned off. 00:08:40.880 --> 00:08:44.480 Inside, we see the corpse of one of the Pale King’s followers. 00:08:44.480 --> 00:08:45.950 Their Dream Nail dialogue reads: 00:08:45.950 --> 00:08:48.020 “...Turn it off?… Cannot... 00:08:48.020 --> 00:08:51.700 My King. I’m sorry… The sea calls...” 00:08:51.700 --> 00:08:55.900 I think this dialogue is showing us that the lighthouse keeper was influenced by the void 00:08:55.910 --> 00:09:00.390 to turn off the light, and then apologized to the King for doing so. 00:09:00.390 --> 00:09:04.500 The Pale King knew the Void was dangerous, hence why he had the lighthouses built. 00:09:04.500 --> 00:09:09.120 But his servant failed to keep the void at bay, allowing the void to move upwards towards 00:09:09.120 --> 00:09:13.620 the Palace Grounds and reach the Kingsmould containing the White Palace. 00:09:13.620 --> 00:09:17.120 We can see that the void is capable of doing this. 00:09:17.120 --> 00:09:20.790 There are void tendrils that reach all the way into Deepnest, where the Sharp Shadow 00:09:20.790 --> 00:09:22.700 charm can be found. 00:09:22.700 --> 00:09:26.660 And then there’s the fact that void particles can be seen as high up in the kingdom as the 00:09:26.660 --> 00:09:29.360 elevator at the top of the Ancient Basin. 00:09:29.360 --> 00:09:32.300 Okay, so what are the problems with this theory? 00:09:32.300 --> 00:09:37.230 Well, the mind of the Kingmould was locked behind a shield, so is it really possible 00:09:37.230 --> 00:09:39.430 that the void could get past it? 00:09:39.430 --> 00:09:43.260 During the two Radiance battles we can see that the void is able of entering the Dream 00:09:43.260 --> 00:09:48.620 world, but we don’t know how much more difficult it would be for the Void to get into the Kingsmould. 00:09:48.620 --> 00:09:51.490 What exactly would it look like for the Void to enter this dream? 00:09:51.490 --> 00:09:53.430 Did it go through the front door? 00:09:53.430 --> 00:09:55.870 Or can it just appear wherever it wants? 00:09:55.870 --> 00:09:59.870 If void did come in this way, why wouldn’t it attack the Royal Retainers? 00:09:59.870 --> 00:10:02.700 This theory also doesn’t explain what’s going on with the Kingsmoulds in the White 00:10:02.700 --> 00:10:05.570 Palace and why only some of them are dead. 00:10:05.570 --> 00:10:10.910 So yeah, both of these theories are incredibly speculative and should definitely be taken 00:10:10.910 --> 00:10:15.460 with a grain of salt, but I do think there has to be some reason for why there are void 00:10:15.460 --> 00:10:17.220 particles in the throne room. 00:10:17.220 --> 00:10:20.820 It’s worth mentioning that the lore tablet in the throne room might be connected to all 00:10:20.820 --> 00:10:22.130 of this. 00:10:22.130 --> 00:10:24.940 There are a few of these egg looking tablets found in Hallownest. 00:10:24.940 --> 00:10:29.540 Most of them feature this strange symbol that flashes on the screen. 00:10:29.540 --> 00:10:31.990 These tablets were likely created by the Pale King. 00:10:31.990 --> 00:10:35.380 There is a certain sound effect that plays when reading these tablets. 00:10:37.820 --> 00:10:43.040 [Pale King ASMR] 00:10:44.160 --> 00:10:48.560 We can hear a longer version of this sound during the birthplace cutscene in the Abyss 00:10:48.560 --> 00:10:51.200 when the Pale King is talking to the Hollow Knight. 00:10:51.200 --> 00:10:59.000 [Pale King ASMR intensifies] 00:10:59.010 --> 00:11:04.250 [Weird-as-fuck breathing] 00:11:04.250 --> 00:11:06.710 This voice clip is weird as fuck. 00:11:06.710 --> 00:11:10.950 We can hear a man’s voice, which is probably the Pale King, but then there is that strange 00:11:10.950 --> 00:11:13.880 breathing that sounds like a female voice. 00:11:13.880 --> 00:11:18.520 I assume this is the White Lady, so maybe she was also present when the Pale King chose 00:11:18.520 --> 00:11:20.000 the Hollow Knight. 00:11:20.000 --> 00:11:23.310 This strange whispering can also be heard in the Pale King’s workshop. 00:11:23.310 --> 00:11:27.420 This is the same sound you can hear while standing near a lore tablet, but in the workshop, 00:11:27.420 --> 00:11:29.520 it’s much louder. 00:11:29.520 --> 00:11:35.460 [Relaxing, isn’t it?] 00:11:35.460 --> 00:11:39.270 Anyway, the tablet in the throne room is a little different. 00:11:39.270 --> 00:11:42.870 Not only is the egg different from the other ones, but there is no voice that plays when 00:11:42.870 --> 00:11:44.330 you interact with it. 00:11:44.330 --> 00:11:45.990 Did the Pale King write this tablet? 00:11:45.990 --> 00:11:49.120 I don’t know who else would have written it, honestly. 00:11:49.120 --> 00:11:50.830 But I am getting super off topic. 00:11:50.830 --> 00:11:55.420 My point is that this egg is reminiscent of the Black Egg in the Forgotten Crossroads 00:11:55.420 --> 00:11:58.100 as well as the black eggs in the Abyss. 00:11:58.100 --> 00:12:00.270 First of all, they’re black. 00:12:00.270 --> 00:12:04.851 Second, the floor in this part of the room uses the same effect as the floor in the Black 00:12:04.851 --> 00:12:05.851 Egg. 00:12:05.851 --> 00:12:10.400 This might be hinting at this egg actually containing void in some form, which would 00:12:10.400 --> 00:12:13.830 possibly explain why there is void in the room. 00:12:13.830 --> 00:12:17.890 But at the same time, I really doubt this would kill the Pale King, since there seem 00:12:17.890 --> 00:12:19.640 to be bindings in this area. 00:12:19.640 --> 00:12:23.650 And like I said, the Pale King wouldn’t do something that stupid. 00:12:23.650 --> 00:12:27.420 You know, other than building that worthless tram in Crossroads. 00:12:27.420 --> 00:12:31.320 So there are the possible explanations I can find for why there might be void in the throne 00:12:31.320 --> 00:12:32.320 room. 00:12:32.320 --> 00:12:36.270 Personally I like the idea that the void came up from the Abyss lake, but it’s all pretty 00:12:36.270 --> 00:12:37.270 speculative. 00:12:37.270 --> 00:12:41.380 The thing is, I tend to use text and dialogue to argue about lore, so I’m a little out 00:12:41.380 --> 00:12:46.220 of my element here, but I do think it’s worth talking about any possible visual clues 00:12:46.220 --> 00:12:50.110 we have about lore, even if it is way more up to interpretation. 00:12:50.110 --> 00:12:52.490 It’s kinda like an optical illusion. 00:12:52.490 --> 00:12:57.070 I might see a duck, you might see a rabbit, and some people might stare really hard and 00:12:57.070 --> 00:12:58.820 see something that isn’t even there. 00:12:58.820 --> 00:13:03.100 Now one issue with the idea that the Pale King was killed by void is that there doesn’t 00:13:03.100 --> 00:13:05.610 seem to be any indication of this on his corpse. 00:13:05.610 --> 00:13:09.810 There aren’t any Void tendrils connected to him, and his eyes don’t have the void 00:13:09.810 --> 00:13:10.810 streaks. 00:13:10.810 --> 00:13:14.110 It’s worth pointing out that some characters have the streaks that really don’t seem 00:13:14.110 --> 00:13:16.690 to be connected to the void at all though. 00:13:16.690 --> 00:13:21.610 And there is artwork of some Vessels that have the streaks while most don’t. 00:13:21.610 --> 00:13:25.060 So maybe there doesn’t need to be tendrils and void streaks. 00:13:25.060 --> 00:13:27.340 The corpse of the Pale King is a hollow shell. 00:13:27.340 --> 00:13:31.490 We can’t strike any of the other bugs we see that were affected by the void, but it 00:13:31.490 --> 00:13:33.970 would make sense that the void hollowed him out. 00:13:33.970 --> 00:13:37.230 So maybe this is an indication of the King’s fate? 00:13:37.230 --> 00:13:40.980 Another problem with the idea that the Pale King was consumed by the void is that the 00:13:40.980 --> 00:13:42.680 Kingsoul wasn’t affected. 00:13:42.680 --> 00:13:47.670 It seems like charms might be able to be corrupted by the void, given the Sharp Shadow charm. 00:13:47.670 --> 00:13:52.060 But we don’t really know any of that for sure, so I don’t think this is a huge strike 00:13:52.060 --> 00:13:53.410 against the idea. 00:13:53.410 --> 00:13:56.390 Alright, so what if void didn’t kill the Pale King? 00:13:56.390 --> 00:14:01.220 Are there any other explanations we can find other than he just withered away? 00:14:01.220 --> 00:14:05.600 One idea is that the Pale King sacrificed himself to create the Kingsoul, since Salubra 00:14:05.600 --> 00:14:09.520 tells us that charms can be created from a bug’s dying wish. 00:14:09.520 --> 00:14:13.010 The main problem with this theory is that the Kingsoul is said to be born from a union 00:14:13.010 --> 00:14:17.990 between two Higher Beings, implying that the charm has existed for a while. 00:14:17.990 --> 00:14:21.360 After all, the Pale King only has half of the Kingsoul. 00:14:21.360 --> 00:14:23.790 The other half is in possession of the White Lady. 00:14:23.790 --> 00:14:27.860 The charm had to have existed in the past for this to make any sense. 00:14:27.860 --> 00:14:32.350 Another theory is that the Pale King actually transformed into a new being, leaving behind 00:14:32.350 --> 00:14:33.790 his hollow shell. 00:14:33.790 --> 00:14:38.270 Bardoon mentions that a Wyrm doesn’t die, but instead transforms. 00:14:38.270 --> 00:14:40.530 But we don’t know if that can happen again or not. 00:14:40.530 --> 00:14:44.990 Does the Pale King get three lives, five lives, nine lives? 00:14:44.990 --> 00:14:48.810 In my opinion, this theory kind of undercuts the Pale King’s Dream Nail dialogue: 00:14:48.810 --> 00:14:50.920 “No cost too great.” 00:14:50.920 --> 00:14:54.830 And if there is a seal over the Kingsmould, would the Pale King even be able to escape 00:14:54.830 --> 00:14:56.650 the White Palace? 00:14:56.650 --> 00:14:59.830 On the other hand, this would give us the opportunity to actually meet the Pale King 00:14:59.830 --> 00:15:02.640 in the Hornet DLC should it actually be a sequel. 00:15:02.640 --> 00:15:07.710 That is going to be a bit of an awkward family reunion, seeing as Hornet is the Pale King’s 00:15:07.710 --> 00:15:11.721 bastard child and that one of his other children murdered her mom in her sleep. 00:15:11.721 --> 00:15:18.520 So yeah… what was the point of this video? 00:15:18.520 --> 00:15:19.760 Let’s see… 00:15:19.760 --> 00:15:23.870 The Pale King most likely went into hiding during the infection by placing his White 00:15:23.870 --> 00:15:26.740 Palace inside of the mind of a Kingsmould. 00:15:26.740 --> 00:15:32.230 There he either withered away, committed die, transformed into a new being, was killed by 00:15:32.230 --> 00:15:36.730 the void, or something completely random that Team Cherry decides to add in with the Hornet 00:15:36.730 --> 00:15:38.200 DLC. 00:15:38.200 --> 00:15:43.090 There is strong evidence that there is in fact void in the room because balls. 00:15:43.090 --> 00:15:47.110 This void might have come from the Kingsmoulds in the throne room, or from the void seeping 00:15:47.110 --> 00:15:48.110 in from the Ancient Basin. 00:15:48.110 --> 00:15:51.690 There is also the possibility that the void particles are coming from the lore tablet 00:15:51.690 --> 00:15:54.330 in the far right corner of the room. 00:15:54.330 --> 00:15:56.350 And that’s about it. 00:15:56.350 --> 00:16:00.840 Until Team Cherry prints off a death certificate or a coroner’s report, this is the best 00:16:00.840 --> 00:16:02.140 I can do. 00:16:02.140 --> 00:16:05.320 There is one last point I couldn’t fit anywhere. 00:16:05.320 --> 00:16:08.910 Apparently the Pale King covered a bunch of furniture in white sheets. 00:16:08.910 --> 00:16:13.480 There really isn’t any way for us to know when this happened or why this happened. 00:16:13.480 --> 00:16:16.170 Was it a part of putting the palace in the Dream world? 00:16:16.170 --> 00:16:17.770 Are they repainting the ceiling? 00:16:17.770 --> 00:16:21.930 Did Team Cherry just not want to draw a bunch of shit so they put sheets over them? 00:16:21.930 --> 00:16:25.060 In fact, what kind of furniture does the Pale King even have under there? 00:16:25.060 --> 00:16:28.820 I mean, this one is clearly a fucking tombstone. 00:16:28.820 --> 00:16:31.320 This one looks like a pig from Minecraft. 00:16:31.320 --> 00:16:33.630 And I think this one might be a Festivus Pole? 00:16:33.630 --> 00:16:35.220 [Seinfeld credits because you should always finish your video with a callback] 00:16:35.220 --> 00:16:39.440 You know, William and Ari have released four goddamn DLCs and they can’t even bother 00:16:39.440 --> 00:16:41.720 to answer this very important question? 00:16:41.720 --> 00:16:43.400 It’s ridiculous. 00:16:43.400 --> 00:16:45.140 It’s like they don’t even care about the lore. 00:16:45.140 --> 00:16:47.120 I’m uninstalling the piece of shit.
