Oh, can I get an encounter? He's got a Hydreigon and a Salamence. I let them roam freely. I let them attack when they want... what they... when they want. We might have a problem here. (introduction music) Yo! What is going on, YouTube? It's your boy Dan, aka "aDrive". I brought you guys another episode of our Pokemon Bushido Nuzlocke Let's Play. If you guys are excited for this one, and I know you guys are, let me see you guys hit that like button down below, and be sure to subscribe to the channel if you guys are new for Pokemon Bushido every single Monday, Wednesday, Friday. 5,000 likes. You already know. Gets you to see that bonus episode on Sunday. And if you guys haven't seen the amazing t-shrits that I've been rocking. You guys can head to TeamShiny.com This is 007, which by the way is in the lead. People have picked up 007 the most, but we still got some more of those t-shirts around. So if you've been thinking about it, be sure to check that out. Now, on the last episode we caught a bunch of different Pokemon, so we're going to take a look at them 'cause I really haven't had the chance to take a look at them. We have Klutz Golurk which is actually a terrible terrible terrible terrible nature. And then we have Oblivious Mamoswine. Also pretty terrible in terms of natures. I don't think either of these Pokemon are going to be usable for me considering what is coming next, which I'm assuming to be the Water gym, right? Like I'm assuming it's the water dojo. So, with that being said, I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep things the way they are with these guys. I think we have a really solid team, minus the Larvitar which obviously needs to get his heart gauge sorted. But he's getting closer. And we've got some really cool members of the team. I'm going to give you an item. I'm going to give you a berry or something just to make sure that you got something good there. So, we basically have to head back to the ice route that we were kind of rocking on last time. I came back to heal and all that good stuff. So, let's go back to that ice route, and we're going to continue here on Pokemon Bushido. All right. This is about where we left off here in Fubuki Bay. And we do get to kind of continue ahead here, and I believe once we get through this... I'm going to check my map. Once we get through the map, we are headed to Izumi Village which is where the Shimizu Dojo is. And then, there's also a shrine there. So, we're headed toward third dojo. So we've got our work cut out for us. Let's see what's good. Let's battle some of these trainers. I'm sure they're going to want to battle. Yeah. They've got all these Ice-type Pokemon which can be a little tricky for us, to be perfectly honest. Like a Cloyster here. This thing could be really scary if it's got Shell Smash. So, I might have to switch out on this. Let's hope I don't get trapped. Let's see what they're going to do. They are going to do the Healing Ring. Shimizu Healing Ring. Okay. And it's going to give himself a Special Attack boost, 'cause, 'cause why not? If it's a special attacker, Sunnyside's pretty good here. Otherwise, I have nothing for this. Like, Cloyster's a problem. I'm going to Megahorn. And we'll see what that does. That did okay. He's got Water Gun. Oh yeah. Cloyster doesn't have the best moves. So I should be okay to just kind of Megahorn him a few times and hopefully beat him down here. All right. Cloyser goes down. Very nice. Took a little while, but we got there. Couple levels for everybody else. And... Oh! No, no, no. I do not want to evolve. Cancel that evolution. Okay. So Chansey now has the ability to evolve, but we do not want to evolve. That is not, not what I want. We have an Eviolite Chansey. We do not want to evolve. No, thank you. All right. What do you got for me, bro? I found this Swinub, but I'm not... Is that really a Huntail? I'm not sure I could take care of it. Can you take this Swinub for me? I mean I can, but I already got a Mamoswine, bro. How is that a thing? Dog, I get so, I get so bamboozled. I took the Mamoswine encounter and then what happens? I could have had a Swinub for free. The struggle is real, team. The struggle is real. Let's grab some of these items. I got to figure out how do I get over there. I don't know. This is a little tricky. But I think I could figure it out. I got a Bento Box. All right. What do you got going for me? I'm starting to think that I need new Pokemon. What's, what's wrong with your current Pokemon, buddy? What do you got, Young Kenshi? He's got a Lopunny. Okay. Not too shabby. I can work with that. What are you going to do? What kind of shenanigan... Oh, you don't have any shenanigans. How do you not have shenanigans? You pretty... All these guys have shenanigans. You don't have shenanigans? No one taught you any super cool things? This guy, he got the short end of the stick. I guess his dad doesn't love him or something. I'm not sure. All these, all these people I got to face they got... Oh yeah. We're throwing spikes on the field. Oh yeah. Here's Toxic Spikes. Oh yeah. We're just going to trap you in a Whirlpool and freeze your Pokemon, because why not? Here comes a Blissey. That is XP that I definitely want. I kind of want to go Larvitar, and then switch back out. If this Blissey one-shots Larvitar, I'm going to rage harder than you've ever seen me rage. So, pretty please, don't one-shot me. I'll actually cry. Okay. That was... I anticipated that, so we're good. I just want a lot of XP on this thing, 'cause I really really really want to get a Tyranitar. I think having the opportunity to change the weather, even against you know... Who's my lowest level? Probably Nessy. I probably want to give the XP to Nessy. Even having a Tyranitar against a rain team could be very valuable. Changing the weather to sand. Taking away from the fact that they would honestly, obviously get that boost. Give me myself a Special Defense boost. Even with that weakness could be really valuable. So, I'm going to beat up this Blissey here. I can't imagine it's that hard. He went for Light Screen. My Body Slam should do enough to chip away here. And it will. So we'll work with that. And then we'll see how much XP we get. All right. Give me all that XP. Unlock this heart. Let's get it. Nice and chunk of 13,000 XP right there. Oh my... We got two levels? Oh my go... We legitimately just got two levels on our Pokemon. That was wild. I'm going to just potion up a little bit, and then we'll keep rocking. And we get the TM for Hail. So, this game really likes to give you those different weather TMs which is good to know. And now you guys get to watch me absolutely struggle as I usually do with ice puzzles, 'cause you know... ice puzzles. Oh, I found another TM over here kind of being sneaky on the side. It is Icy Wind. I actually like that one. That one's really good for us. Okay. I'll take it. Prepare to shiver! All right. Here we go. He's going to freeze me, isn't he? He's going to freeze me. I know he is. He's got a Cryogonal. Please don't freeze me. I got Mercy on the field this time. I switch it up a little bit. Don't you dare freeze me. He's going to freeze me. He's got Freezing... Of course, every time, man. They are just like, yeah, we're going to freeze you, no problem. And he gives himself Defense boost. That kind of makes this thing problematic. He could have Freeze Dry which also makes it problematic. I actually got to go Sunnyside. I don't think I can chance dealing with a plus bulk. He's got Reflect. Ah, Cryogonal's going to be so annoying, isn't it? I know it's going to be so annoying. He does have Freeze Dry. There it is. I knew it was coming. That is why I switched... And he freezes... He freezes me too. Oh my god. You got to be kidding me. That's how much damage I just did? That's real life? How am I going to beat this thing? Why? Why does this happen to me? What did I do to deserve this situation that I am consistently finding myself in right now? It is the struggle. He has Recover. You got to be kidding me. This is so dumb. Like why am I battling this dumb Pokemon? All right. Let's see if this works. I'm clicking Swords Dance, and then I'm going to Slash and try to crit him. There's the Swords Dance. I'm going to try to crit him right now with a Slash. He's going to Freeze Dry me. I don't get the crit, of course. And now I got to take another hit. His Reflect does wear off. I could try a Sucker Punch, but if he knocks me out, I'll be really salty. So, I got to Ultra Jam, unfortunately. Let's see... He's going to Freeze Dry me again. I could take another one, though. So I'm going to go for the Slash. He goes for Reflect. I need a crit. I don't get it. I got to, I got to just assume he's going to attack with Sucker Punch. Okay. I beat the Cryogonal. That was big. Gosh, this is so annoying. He was so stally. And here comes an Avalugg. Oh god. Okay. We are going into Poseidon for this. Avalugg is kind of a problem. I do have the speed up on. He's got Blizzard on his Avalugg. And he freezes me! What is going on?! Why? How do you freeze me with an Avalugg? That's so garbage. Why? Oh my good... He's going to Billzzard again. I don't know what's going on right now. This is ridiculous. I don't like you at all. I don't like this guy at all. I think he's, he's not very nice to me. I will Aqua Tail. That does nothing. he's so bulky. This guy's so bulky. This is insane. All right. Here's what I got to do. I got to go Chansey. Oh. He had Reflect up still. Okay. I'm going to Charm him to drop his physical attack so that way I can kind of deal with, 'cause the Blizzards aren't going to do anything. I don't care about the Blizzards. I care about his... him going for like a big physical attack here. All right. I should be able to seal the deal here with Lapras. Nessy's out on the field. I've got Water Pulse. And that should finish off the Avalugg. But jeez, you gave me Cryogonal and Avalugg. Two incredible bulky Pokemon with screens, with Recover. And we're still not done? And a Kingdra now! What is going on? Like for real. I'll go Sunnyside and hope this thing is a special attacker. Although, I guess I could have stayed in, but.. Laser Focus. Oh boy. I think that means he might crit. I got to heal, and hope that this Kingdra doesn't just blow me back right now. If it's a special attacker, which most Kingdra are, we should be okay, though. Looks like he's a special attacker. It's got Bubble Beam, so we should be okay. I don't know what I'd be doing right now without Sunnyside, though, I'm going to be real with you guys. Like, I don't know what I would be doing. But this thing is holding it down. And, I'm all here for it. I'm telling you, I am here for it. I'm going to finish you off with the Double-Edge. And we are going to get through this very very difficult battle of some bulky bulky Pokemon. My goodness. Wow. And Chansey is going to always try to evolve. I need to always remember to cancel that. Let me, let me use my Katana here, 'cause we got kind of wrecked there. And then we'll keep moving forward. Up ahead is Izumi Village. Before you get there, you have to get past me. Oh boy. All right. Well, let's see what you're going to do. You got two Mons. One's a Kingler. Okay. You're going to freeze me? Let's see it. And Fre... Yeah. Dude, this is so busted, dude. Like this is the dumbest thing. He gets an Attack and a Defense and a Speed boost. What? All right. Well, Nessy I hope you can take on whatever this Kingler's going to do right now, 'cause I need all the help I can get. He Swords Dances. We're about to get wrecked. We are about to get wrecked, guys. This is not good. This is no longer a joke. We are about to get wrecked. I am going to Confuse Ray. He's got Razor Shell. Okay. The good news is the AI might be really bad, and just keep clicking Water moves. The other moves he could have would be Stomp or maybe Metal Claw. Luckily, Kingler doesn't have the best movepool. He does hit himself in confusion, take massive damage. A para would be massive right now. He is taking hail as well. Hit yourself again. He has Slam! Okay. We live that barely. Okay. This is, this is why this is such a bad situation for me. I have to basically Ultra Jam to full. And then, we just have to hope he doesn't crit. Or he misses Slam or goes for a Water move. Or hits himself in confusion. Let's go! The hax gods are with us today, ladies and gentlemen. The hax gods are with us today. Whoo! And here comes a Glalie. But this Glalie doesn't have all those boosts, so it's a little less scary. I do get a Confuse Ray off. And, now I can... Now I can go for Body Slam. One thing I just thought of guys, I'm going to be real, I just had a thought as I'm like mid-battle right now of how great it would be to have Leftovers. And I remember whenever our Pokemon had the opportunity, I think it was Chansey, to learn the move Covet. And I also remember earlier in the game we found Munchlax. So, maybe I'm going to actually be able to double back, and go try to get some Leftovers. I don't know if Munchlax will hold Leftovers like Snorlax does. But if it does, we could get some Leftovers for this team, which we desperately need, 'cause looking at Pokemon like Lapras here, Nessy, like it could really really benefit from having Leftovers in these battles, especially some of these battles they get drawn one out so long. So, I think that's going to be a priority as long as I don't forget. So, I'm going to learn Rain Dance. But, honestly we're not really... It's kind of cool, but not really that good. So, I'll probably skip that. Especially with the water dojo. And Sunnyside gets another level, going to try to evolve. I got to cancel that again. Perfect. All right. Well, that's good. We're still moving. Let's heal up, and then we'll keep moving forward. Oh my goodness. Thank goodness. We are in Izumi Village. Oh, and there's someone there. Is that a rival? I don't know, but I might have to battle him. Well, we made it to Izumi Village. Ah, aDrive. This is... Oh, this is the guy that's supposed to be in the Akui Clan, isn't it? This is rather convenient. I need to tell you something, but this absolutely needs to stay between us. Do you understand? I'm on a mission here with the Akui Clan. Obviously, I don't agree with that they're doing, so I'm trying to put a stop to it from behind the scenes. Do you think you can help me? Sure. The Akui Clan has come here with Kuro, the Hound of Cruelty. He plans to forcefully summon Cobalion and enslave it. We need to do everything we can to stop Kuro before he summons Cobalion. If he succeeds, things will not end well. Meet me at the Izumi Shrine. Okay. So he's going to the Izumi Shrine. I am not going there right now, because your boy needs to search this town, see what I'm missing, and you know, kind of talk to everybody and figure out what's good. I'm going to also double back. There's a couple things I want to do, like I said, that Munchlax thing I think is worth entertaining. You got a Sandslash in the bath. Ain't it getting burned up? This thing's 4x weak to fire. I don't know about that decision, I'm going to be honest with you. And let's head into the market, see if there's anything new in here. What's going on here? Step right up and buy some notes cheaper than scrolls, but one-time use. They can only be used once, they teach you stronger moves. Oh, that's an interesting concept. So, instead of buying scrolls, you can buy notes. I've got all these. I don't need any of these. I might want to grab a few more potions just to have them. 'Cause I've been going through them like... who knows? Just like crazy, really. And what about you? Let's see these notes. Oh. That's what I'm talking about. Oka... Buggenaut, I'm so sorry. That's really painful. Close Combat. Toxic Spikes. Bro, these are amazing. These are actually amazing. Okay. So Thunderbolt, I 100% want that. 'Cause Thunderbolt we can give to Lapras. Stealth Rock is really good too. I don't think anything on my team really benefits from it right now. Swords Dance is quite nice. Close Combat, Toxic Spikes, Earthquake. I have Earthquake. Cosmic Power's really cool. Calm Mind, another one. I got to look at the team. I mean we have Outrage and stuff as an option there too. But this is really big. I got to see if there's anything good for Sunnyside. Everyone else is probably relatively okay, though. Sunnyside could learn Stealth Rock. That could be actually worth considering. Yeah. These are really really good stuff. Nothing that is like going to be super gamechanging for me right now, but definitely some stuff in our bag that could be really good. And, let's take a look. So we do have the Thunderbolt Note. And the reason I wanted to grab that is because I knew Nessy would be able to learn it. And I think that getting rid of Body Slam and having, you know, Bolt-Beam coverage with water coverage is a really good combination. So, I just thought that that was really valuable. Especially with the water dojo coming. All right. Let me, let me head back a few... Well, I think I explored most of the things here. There's another well. Oh. Can I get an encounter? A Slowpoke attacked. Okay. So... I mean we already have a Slowpoke. We already had one. So, unfortunately we don't get another one. I guess dupes clause is optional, though, right? Dupes clause is optional. I guess I could catch this as my encounter here. I probably should. I probably should. Especially since I can evolve it now. So, let's throw a Quick Ball at it, and we can get a Galarian Slowbro or Galarian Slowking now. So, I might as well just bring back Dopey... and add it to the PC for now. Something to consider. You know, dupes clause is optional so I'll take it. And this will be... We'll just name you... I'll name you Mopey. You could be Mopey instead of Dopey. We need all the encounters we can get, so I guess I'll take that. Oh, there's a Snom here. I could have had a Frosmoth. All right. So, Double-Edge has been a solid move, but I'm going to give it Covet for now. I may decide to change that back, or maybe even grab Hyper Voice from that Move Relearner. But for now, I want to have Covet, because I think having the opportunity to steal some items could be massive. So, I'm going to take the Eviolite off of it so we can utilize Covet. And I'm going to fly to where like kind of the beginning of the game where the Munchlax spawned, and see if maybe I can grab a Munchlax. And... I think it was out here. Maybe grab some Leftovers if that would be usable for us. All right. Here's a Munchlax. Let's see if it works. I stole his Leftovers. Let's go. That was exactly what we wanted. It worked out. All right. I'm going to grab one more Lefty, so I have two of them. And I think we're in good shape. And, let's go! We got two Lefties now. Big pickups for us. And I can give you back your Eviolite now. And now I have two members of the team which can benefit from Leftovers at any time I want which immediately Nessy comes to mind. So, I'll take that. And I'll give you Leftovers. And then I'm going to probably give... Oh, you have the Lucky Egg. But that's okay. And then I'm going to probably give Poseidon Leftovers for now. I'm not sure, but it's nice to have. One thing someone else told me that I can utilize while I'm kind of thinking of stealing stuff was I guess we could do it at the town I was just at, but we have the opportunity to Thief things. So, let's see what we have here too, 'cause I might want to use this guy. It's a Bold nature which honestly is pretty good. I probably need to evolve Mopey, to be honest. I probably need to have Mopey on the team, to be honest. Just because things are kind of dire right now for the squad. So, I'll have to figure that out. We'll probably have to do some sort of evolution there, but... I can take the Talonflame back to where we were. And then I have to head to the Izumi Shrine which is going to be really challenging. I have to train up a team. I have to make sure everyone's trained up before I go to the shrine. I know I do. So, let me do a little bit of grinding, let me figure out what I want to do with the team here. I have to probably box... I have to box the Larvitar, for sure. 'Cause he's just not ready to do his thing yet. But he will be. And then, I think honestly like with the team I have, I could really benefit from having this on my team right now. So, I think that's what I'm going to do. 'Cause that gives me a Fighting resist, which I think is really big. All right. So now I have the opportunity to get the Galarica Cuff or the Galarica Wreath. And I could choose to get either Slowbro or Slowking. I'm going to just do a little bit of quick research on the two of them, so I know what I'm getting myself into, and then I'll make the decision. All right. So I decided on the Wreath. I think that that's the best of the decisions right now. So I am going to evolve this thing, because it's desperately needing an upgrade, and I desperately need some good members of the team. So, I'm going to evolve Mopey right now into Galarian Slowking. This thing will really benefit from some of those notes or TMs that we can grab as well. We saw like Psychic and things like that. So a lot of opportunities there. And now we evolve it into a Slowking. Wants to learn Eerie Spell which is cool. I don't think it's very good, though. It removes three PP from their las... Oh, it does damage too. Oh, that's actually solid then. And he already had Psychic and Psych Up and stuff. So, I guess that's really good. Removes three PP from the last move. Yeah. That's fine. That's better than Psychic I guess in this context. Especially if I had to like stall things out. Another Mon that would be really good with Leftovers too. So we'll utilize that. I do want to go just double check the Move Tutor for King. And, we do have opportunities for things like Trick Room now I think. So... Let's see what it can learn. So I'm going to give him Slack Off to start. I think that that's a good bet. And he could also learn Surf. I'm going to want to give him a Poison move too. I think I saw some good stuff at those notes. I picked the wrong Pokemon. Okay. So I'm definitely buying Calm Mind here. And then, I think... I mean we could have Gunk Shot. I don't think that's that good, but... We could potentially give him Ice Beam as well, and he'll have Psychic-Ice Beam which I think is good. Or I could consider something a little different. I would love to have Sludge Bomb. I don't think that that's an option. I got to check if he can learn Thunderbolt. That might not be bad. Okay. So he can learn Flamethrower. So I'll rock with Flamethrower for now. This is a good movesets— Eerie Spell, Calm Mind, Flamethrower, Slack Off. I love that. I think that's really good. All right. Time to do a little grind sesh. Ey. I just got the message that Larvitar can be purified. Yes! We can unlock the door to its heart. Okay. So we need to go do that. I am not waiting any longer than I have to. I am on speed up, by the way, 'cause I'm grinding, but I'm going to unlock this thing's heart. Let's head to a different shrine to do it, 'cause I have the ability to unlock one Pokemon's heart. So, let's head... Where is the easiest shrine to get to? Probably, probably this one to be honest. So let's head back here. We're going to head to the shrine real quick. And we're going to unlock this thing's heart, baby. Let's get it. All right. Let's purify Larvitar. Larvitar opened the door to its heart. You purified two Pokemon. He gets Dark Pulse, Crunch. Lv. 47. Wants to learn Thrash. Oh my god. He... Look at this moveset! What? Wants to learn Sandstorm. No. I'm good with that. He wants to learn Hyper Beam. Nah, I'm good. And he is evolving into Pupitar. And then, we will almost have a Tyranitar as well which is phenomenal. Phenomenal, baby. This was big. This is a big pickup for us. And I'm going to name you Darude, 'cause you were setting up the sandstorm. (chuckles) I think that's kind of funny. So now we have a Pupitar at Lv. 46. Adamant nature. Shed Skin. Dark Pulse, Crunch, Earthquake, Stone Edge. Very very strong. Very powerful. And he's got perfect IVs. I mean that's just amazing stuff. All right. I'm going to keep training, but that was a big win for us. All right. So I think this is the team I'm going to move forward with for now. We've got Mopey, Sunnyside, Nessy, Fawkes, Je, and Poseidon. Those are going to be the homies that we're going to rock with moving forward here. I'm assuming I'm going to have to battle this Cobalion and things like that. So, things could get kind of tricky here pretty quick, but I think this is a good team. I obviously boxed a few other Pokemon. Potentially temporarily more than anything, but... Let me just make sure I've got my items sorted, and then we will move forward and see what's good, because we could have some tough stuff ahead of us, you know? I'm sorry, but the Shimizu Dojo is not accepting trainers at the time. All right. Well, we kind of figured that. So, I do believe we have to surf this way. I'm going to throw down a Repel. Oh, you know what I need? I need potions. Let me go get potions. All right. So, here's Izumi Pass. And I guess this is my encounter, and it is a Seaking. All right. So here's Izumi Pass which means we do get a new encounter. And do I use healing items in battle? I mean I guess I do if I have to. You've got a Sharpedo. Oh god. If he traps me, I'm dead. Like legit if he traps me, I'm dead. Don't trap me, please. Healing Ring. Okay. That's fine. I can work with Healing Ring. I got really scared for a second. He gets a Special Attack boost. I'm going to go Nessy. If he goes for a Dark-type move, this could really hurt, but I do have Thunderbolt, at least. If he goes for a Water move, we're fine. There's a Liquidation. Okay. That's fine. He doesn't have the Healing Ring. I can go for Thunderbolt here. He does have Crunch. Big damage, but Thunderbolt, sick animation. Does a significant chunk. He does have a Sitrus Berry. Jeez. And he's going to heal up with Healing Ring too. But I think a Thunderbolt finishes him here. Here comes a Liquidation to heal me back up. I love that. I wonder how this dojo's going to go, if they're going to just keep healing me. I am all about it. Nessy doing big things here. What else you got for me? Here comes a Palossand. Honestly, I can just Water Pulse. This is in rain. Even with Water Compaction, this is going to be really good. He gets a Defense boost. If he Body Presses me, I'm dead though. He Iron Defenses. We're okay. Does Palo... Yeah. Palossand gets... Does he get Body Press? I don't know. Water Compaction should have been an immunity, by the way. Xenoverse changed that, but this game did not. It should have been an immunity to Water. Or at least like reduction in damage or something too. So, we do have an encounter here on Shimizu Pass. I'm definitely going to grab it. There's a Crabominable in front of me, which I could potentially grab if I want it. I want to see what else is here. There's a shaking patch of grass which generally yields good things. I think I'm going to take the shaking patch of grass. Let's see what we got. Give me something good, please. I need something good. (laughs) Dupes clause activated on the Blissey. Okay. Well, listen, at least... I'm a little annoyed, because I legitimately just trained a bunch, and I could have been training against Blisseys which would have saved me time. But, now I know that I have this option for later. So, that's good. Let's grab another encounter. Kicking around the sand is so much fun. I have a Repel down, so I didn't get my encounter yet. Aside from the Blissey. An Obstagoon. I've been here. I've seen this before. Oh god. Don't trap me. Don't trap me. Okay. He didn't trap me. I got to switch out. I've seen this before. I know exactly how this goes. I think I go Nessy. Or I go Fawkes, 'cause then I can Flamethrower and potentially burn him if he hits me with a physical move. We just do not want to get countered again. All right. Let's see what he's going to do. He goes for Counter. Yup. I learned my lesson, bro. I learned my lesson. I'm gong to Flamethrower you. You can Counter me all day. He goes for Take Down, but I'm going to try to burn him. Wow. That did a lot of damage. Okay. So, that's not a strategy anymore. We'll go Nessy and I'll just hit him with Water Pulses then. That is not a strategy. Obstagoon made me so angry in the last episode. I no longer like this thing. He's got Counter, Take Down, Scary Face. I'm going to Water Pulse him. He probably Countered here. Yup. He Countered. That's fine. Listen. You can do that all day. I know what to expect from you now. I know you're going to try to Counter me, so I am not, not going to make that same mistake twice. No, thank you. All right. What else you got for me? Here comes a Mr. Rime. Okay. He is Ice and Psychic I think, right? So, honestly unless he Freeze Dries me, I really like Poseidon just coming in and Aqua Tailing here. He could Freeze Dry me though, but let's see. This should be okay. He's got Sucker Punch. All right. I mean Aqua Tail should do a lot, 'cause it's boosted. He's going to Sucker Punch me again. Mr. Rime going for Sucker Punch is just really funny to me. But we are going to beat him. I'll get an extra level there on a couple Pokemon. I want to learn Swords Dance, which I do think is potentially really worthwhile. I think Swords Dance is really worthwhile. So I'm going to get rid of Megahorn. I'm going to keep Slash. There's an old school kind of strategy of utilizing Water and Normal-types together offensively, because they kind of complement each other, so we'll try to utilize that. But, let me throw Je in the front, and then let's see what our encounter is going to be. It could be Gorebyss, if I want Gorebyss. And there's another trainer up here. Let's see what you do. Okay. So, this Shimizu Clan is blocking that area off for now. And here's a shaking piece of grass. So let's see what this entails. Maybe it's Blissey again. I'm trying to see if I get something other than Blissey. Mr. Rime. Oh, well, there you go. Mr. Rime is my encounter. I definitely cannot stay in with Je, but I will switch around to Sunnyside, and we'll get this thing captured. All right. This should catch him. He's in red and sleeping, so... Nice. Mrs. Rime! I'm going to name you... Ice and Psychic. Honestly, not that great. I'm going to name you... I'm going to name you Miss Rhyme, spelled like that. I feel like that's kind of cool. All right. So, we've got our encounter here. It was not Crabominable. I think I can move forward. I'm a little weaken on Fawkes, but generally speaking we should be okay. I'm going to Rock Smash this. We got one other battle in front of me, and then I think we can head to the next location which is where the Akui Clan is most likely to be. And that's where, you know, the problem start to hit, but we'll see what we got here. A Lapras. Please don't trap me with a Water move, because then I'm dead. Every time this happens. I don't know how I'm going to get around this. Misty Terrain. Okay. I can work with that. I can work with that. That's fine. And it's going to give him a Speed and Defense and a Special Defense boost. Of course. I don't want to get Freeze Dried. My own Nessy is probably my best bet actually, so I should be okay. I'm going to speed through this, though. And we are going to beat the Lapras there, unscathed. Leftovers is really nice. Nessy wants to learn Hydro Pump which I am going to grab over Water Pulse, just because it's essentially double the damage. Steel Wing on Fawkes is kind of cool over Aerial Ace or Flail. Might be not a bad thing to hit som... like a Rock-type or something. And let's see what else you got for me. A Mamoswine. Okay. That's fine. I just click Hydro Pump. As long as I don't miss. Of course, he does Amnesia and I missed, so that's a thing. Let's just keep trying. I just missed three Hydro Pumps in a row, so I'm not really sure what to make of that. It's a bit frustrating. I kind of have to go Poseidon now or heal up Nessy. So I'll go Poseidon, I guess? And I hit the Aqua Tail and blew back the Mamoswine. So, good bye. Get out of my face. All right. Let me use my Katana to heal up, and then we're headed into the next area. And things are about to get real wild. All right. We are here on the Izumi Shrine, and Kayoko's here. It looks like we made it just in time. Kuro's at the shrine right now, making preparations to summon Cobalion. I'll hide back here and wait for my chance. Go talk to him. All right. So I do get a new encounter in this location as well, but I did Repel as I happen. And it looks like we can head forward and see this Cobalion situation shaking down. All right. Here it comes. As the light gleams in the sky, my Katana shall be the one to cast shadows on the world. With the power of the Akui Clan invested in me, I dedicate my soul to the darkness! That should be the last of the prayers. What do you want? Are you here to play the role of the hero? I'll have you know, I'm not nearly as stupid as Mashiro or as silent as Hotoke. I've never understood one thing. Do you know what that one thing is? I've never understood why people don't use Pokemon correctly. Obstagoon, Double-Edge! All right. Here we go. Later. Oh, you're awake? Good. I wanted to do this earlier, but I wanted you to see this. They call me the Hound of Cruelty for one reason. One reason of my favorite pastimes is watching people suffer. And you, my friend, are you going to suffer. However, I want to ask you some questions first. I take it you're the Royal Samurai's son, right? So tell me, does your status mean anything to you? This world works in hierarchies. I supervise the grunts, but the grunts supervise their Pokemon. Pokemon have been put at the bottom of the hierarchy for centuries. What gives us, as humans, any right to enslave Pokemon? We merely capture them and contain them in tiny contraptions, purely to be used in battle. But not me you see. Despite my cruelty, I show a certain level of compassion to mine. He's got a Hydriegon and a Salamence. I let them roam freely. I let them attack when they want, what they... when they want. We might have a problem here. You see, that's all I'm doing now. By making Pokemon turn into Shadow Pokemon, I simply give them their primitive instincts back. This way, they can be as savage and dangerous as they'd like. So tell me, aDrive Masayoshi. Look to my eyes, and tell me what I'm doing is wrong. So tell me, aDrive Masayoshi. Look to my eyes, and tell me what I'm doing is wrong. Are my actio... Are my actions truly worse than yours? Have I sinned more than you? I don't expect an answer. Yes, of course you have! Ah, it seems we have visitors. I took my time talking and now I'll be paying the price. Closyter, Teleport! Ah, the water dojo. Mai Hitomu, leader of the Shimizu Clan. I don't remember giving you permission to use my full name, Kuro Masuda. Masuda. You're as stubborn as ever. A hard-heaeded girl like you will have never have success with men. You'll be coming with me. I won't be going anywhere, unfortunately. Salamence, Fly! (shrugs) aDrive, are you all right? I should have gotten here sooner. Thankfully, your friend Kayoko warned me about what was happening. If I had to guess, I'd assume that Kuro is still somewhere around here. He's probably hiding in Hikari Cave. If you head on to Izumi Pass and go to the right of the island, you'll find Hikari Cave. My Kenshi and I will need to investigate this area further. All right. Well, we know that's about to go down. I do get a new encounter here as well which is the good news. So, I might as well grab that real quick before I forget about it, 'cause you know, that happens sometimes. So, let me let my Repel run out and then we'll see what we grab. And our encounter is going to be... A Mienshao. Which honestly isn't that bad. I can work with that. I need a Fighting-type. I think that that could be solid. I don't really have a way to weaken him without dealing a ton of damage to him. I guess I could Flamethrower with Mopey in rain is probably fine. I think that'll work. And we caught him. Nice. Mienshao. Not a bad pickup. Like I said, really offensive Fighting-type Pokemon. I'm going to name you Ramen. And hopefully not spell it wrong. There we go. And it looks like we're headed to this cave now. So, we'll take that. Could have had a Malamar again, I guess. And here's the cave they were talking about. So let's head in here. And it is Hikari Cave. I do have a Repel that I just posted. So... Or used up. So, we are going to see what we can get. I like to kind of hold off of my encounters. Although, I can't say it's really benefited us a ton, but... Oh boy. What is this? The table has a puzzle... Oh god. Really? I hate these things. All right. We got it. It's Virizion. Took me awhile to get there, but we got it. Oh. They're going to make me do another one, aren't they? Lovely. And I got Terrakion significantly faster, so that's nice. And Cobalion wasn't to bad either. So, we've finished all three puzzles. And here it comes. Oh boy. All right. Well, everyone's healed up. So, I guess it's going to be what it's going to be. I kind of want to lead with Nessy though if I'm being honest. Yeah. This is tricky no matter what though. I'm going to be real. This is really bad no matter what. Okay. Well, see what happens. How brave of you to follow you. Unfortunately, this plays rather well in my favor. Now, I get to watch you suffer at my own hands. I've talked to you for long enough, haven't I? Now that the food is properly cooked... I think we're going to battle him. It's time to feast. All right. Well, let's see what we got. Yikes. Yikes, yikes, yikes. Okay. Admin Kuro. He's going to lead off with a Pangoro. And Nessy is not a good lead for me. So let's see what he's going to do. He is going to go for Tranquilizer Kunai, and he's going to put me to sleep. And, now... Okay. We get to jump into it. So, I have to Talonflame and hope he goes for a Fighting move, and maybe burns himself. He goes for Bullet Punch, so that's actually... better than perfect. And then I get to Acrobatics. And this probably one-shots or comes close. Yeah. Not quite, but he goes for Knock Off, but I don't have an item. So... This is actually fine. I'm able to... I get a Flame Body, but that's fine. I'm able to beat the Pangoro, so that's one down. That's one down. That's a good start. Could have been a little better, but it works. Here comes a Salamence. Now, my best way to deal with Salamence is actually asleep, so that's a thing. In fact... Yeah. I have to basically go Nessy, and I have to heal off the sleep now. So, let's hope he doesn't go... He goes for a Fire Blast. That's a neutral hit. We can take that relatively well. And having Leftovers is pretty clutch. So, he is going to go for Berserker Dance, and he's going to give himself a Dragon Dance boost. But in replacement, he loses defenses. And then he's going to go for a Flame Kunai, but I'm already asleep, so that's fine. I need to heal off this, this burn ASAP. And then I need to get off an Ice Beam. Oh wait. I'm asleep. I need to heal off this sleep. I probably have to use a Lum Berry. So let's just hope he doesn't go for a physical Dragon move. He goes for Fire Blast again. That's a-okay. As long as... And he burns me. At least I can't be put to sleep or anything again. So I just need to get off an Ice Beam right now. If I can get off this Ice Beam, we're fine. He Fire Blasts again. Okay. This is good. This is actually fine. This is actually fine. I'm going to get rid of Salamence with an Ice Beam, so he's going to one-shot. No problem. But I have two weakened members now. So that's the only downside. But, we do get a level. Sunnyside to 60. Je gets a level. All right. What's next? I am a little nervous. Here comes Obstagoon. Okay. So this is like the one thing that I'm like really really scared off. Because he's going to deal so much damage to me, and I don't really have a switch in. Ya, I really don't. I think my play is actually to go for a super... an Ultra Jam, and heal up Nessy and just see what he wants to do first. So he goes for Obstruct which is fine. That doesn't do anything to me. And he's going to be... Oh. He's Flame Orb. Okay. Well, now we know. He's going to one-shot anything he hits. He legitimately one-shots anything right now. I have to Hydro Pump and hope I don't miss. Oh, we're dead. Nessy! Don't miss, don't miss, dont... You missed. You missed. You had to just hit that and you missed. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Maybe it goes for Obstruct here. I'm going to heal up, get to full, maybe it Obstructs. He Obstructs. Okay. That's huge. Okay. So, now I don't think I risk the Hydro Pump. I think I go Ice Beam. He Obstructs again. Okay. I get a little bit of healing. I'll take some burn. I don't have a switch in. I have to Ice Beam. He Obstructs again and it fails. That does nothing. Okay. That did not nearly as much as I was hoping it would. All right. I got to take a Close Combat. I do have a Close Combat switch in Mopey, but if he goes for a Dark-type move, I get wrecked. He goes for a Facade. Nessy, you legend for living that! Oh my god. Guts boosted Facade and we lived. Oh my goodness, Nessy. Here comes that Gallade. Okay. I have to go Mopey on Gallade. I may be able to set up on this thing. Oh, he's going to set up on me. Just kidding. Okay. No setting up. I go for Eerie Spell. He's going to Swords Dance... He just went +4. If he has Shadow Sneak, I'm doomed. Zen Headbutt. And there goes Mopey. What's my play now? Earthquake with Je? I think it's Earthquake with Je or Aqua Tail with Poseidon. I think it's Earthquake with Je. Come on. Okay. Okay. I got rid of Gallade. Oh my gosh. Here comes Incineroar. I can work with this. Honestly, I think I set up with Dragon Dance, and try to win this right now with Dragon Dance. He tries to Earthquake me, but I have Levitate. I'm Dragon Dancing again. I'm gong for the sweep. Because if he has Hydreigon on the back, I need to be able to one-shot it with Dragon Claw. He Flare Blitzes me. I Earthquake. Okay. I beat his Incineroar. Come on. And it is Hydreigon. It's Shadow Dreigon. And he's got Berserker Dance. And he gets a Defense drop. And then he's going to poison me. I have to... I think I Dragon Claw. I may lose Je here, but I'm +2. I lived! Okay. Okay, okay, okay. I'm going into... I think I go Sunnyside, and I might be able to catch this thing. This could be a huge capture. Sunnyside, I need you to tank these hits. Shadow Half. I think that means he always does half, half my health. He's going to knock himself out. He knocked himself out, so I don't get to catch him. But I beat him without losing anymore Pokemon. So I mean I guess that's a win. I would have loved to catch him, but it wasn't worth the risk. I had to save, save the Pokemon. I certainly didn't expect that. It's rather hard to maintain composure after suffering defeat, isn't it? Lucky for me, it isn't over. I still have Cobalion. Hydreigon, Draco Meteor! aDrive, watch out! Toucannon. Kuro Masuda. He's terrifying. But we have to hurry to the shrine to stop him. All right. Well, I ain't going to no shrine now. I'm going to heal up and tweak my team. I got poison and all sorts of stuff right now. Do I have my Katana? I already used it. So I'm going to have to heal up the squad. And I will catch you guys in the next episode. I am not going to thr shrine right now. I have done enough. Hit that like button if you guys enjoyed this one. Check out the new Team Shiny merch at TeamShiny.com And thank you for watching Bushido. I'll see you guys on Friday for another episode as we head to the shrine, and then the dojo, and all sorts of crazy stuff. Unfortunately, a tough lost. New member of the team, Mopey goes down, but I got through that battle. So, I can't complain. I'll see you guys in the next one. Peace!
