And when we say "user experience", 0:00:40.460,0:00:43.929 we're referring to the what, when, where, 0:00:43.929,0:00:47.629 why, and how someone uses a product, as well 0:00:47.629,0:00:51.320 as who that person is. So: what, when, 0:00:51.320,0:00:55.039 where, why, how, and who: these cover the 0:00:55.039,0:00:57.149 user experience of a product, which is 0:00:57.149,0:00:59.670 pretty much everything that affects a 0:00:59.670,0:01:01.210 user's interaction with that product. 0:01:01.210,0:01:05.140 So as you can imagine, a UX Designer, 0:01:05.140,0:01:06.640 which is someone who designs these 0:01:06.640,0:01:09.140 interactions, is constantly asking a ton 0:01:09.140,0:01:11.210 of questions. If you're someone who 0:01:11.210,0:01:13.770 naturally questions things, UX Design 0:01:13.770,0:01:16.200 could be a great career for you, because 0:01:16.200,0:01:18.320 it's the answers to these questions 0:01:18.320,0:01:20.140 that shape a product's design. 0:01:20.140,0:01:22.070 Of course it's not all about the 0:01:22.070,0:01:24.930 user's needs. Well, a UX Designer follows 0:01:48.299,0:01:50.250 what's called a user-centred design 0:01:50.250,0:01:53.369 process. We use a set of tools and 0:01:53.369,0:01:55.549 techniques to take the user's needs 0:01:55.549,0:01:57.780 into account at every stage of the 0:01:57.780,0:02:00.039 product's lifecycle.
