Hello everyone, I am posting this on many group websites, really everywhere. I would like you to also repost this for me. What this is is a petition to the White house, it is called " We the People". This petition is to go directly to the White house. This petition is to formally recognize American Sign Language as a Community Language as well as a Language of Instruction in schools. This began November 12th 2012 and needs to be done with in a month. we are already in the December and them by December 12/2012 We are hoping to get 25 000 signatures to this petition. If we do get 25 000 signatures then the White house is required to respond. This shows the power people have. So if you are confused and aren't sure how this works, I'm happy to explain the process. We need 25 000 signatures, we have already collected 14 215. Which is great but we need more, we need another 10 785 by midnight EST. So we really want to get to 25 000 signatures, it would be great if we can So we can work with the government and the White house We have been fighting for our American Sign Language to be recognized On the site there are 2 numbers, people sometimes get confused. The first number is how many signatures we need. The second number is how many we already have. If you were to total them , they would add to 25 000. Does that make sense? Please sign our petition and thanks for watching.
