Translation & Subtitles: thoseguiltyeyes | scandal-heaven.com Hello! RINA here. Today, I'm heading to a certain spot. Before that, I've arrived at the meeting place and am waiting for a certain someone. This will be a different and fresh video, so I hope you enjoy it all the way through! You okay? You made it here by yourself. Let's go! Let's go! I met up with my little sister. Now, where are we going today? You'll find out in a bit. We've arrived at our destination. My little sister and I will be staying in Hakone. I've been looking forward to this for a long time, so I'm really excited that this day is finally here. We're arrived at our room, so let's go in. It's so nice! This is what our room looks like. The scenery is also really nice. Though it has tatami mats, you can sleep in beds. So spacious. This is what the bathroom looks like. It's very clean. It has a tiled floor. So nice. Hold on a sec! Wait! -Do you push it? -No. -Hold on! -Do you need a key? Oh, is that it? Oh, there's a latch. It's open. There's an open-air bath with free-flowing water in the room as well. You can relax in the bath while looking at this amazing view. This really is the best. The weather's also great and feels nice. Ah, this is such a great view of nature. It's so nice and quiet. We're only staying for tonight, so I'm sure it'll go by fast, but I want to have a nice, relaxing time. It's already March. We're really running through the year ever since it began. I wanted to take a small breather. Since the beginning of the year, we made new DAISY items all at once, photographed them, and put them up for sale. After the year-end festivals concluded, I went back home, and the moment I got there I wanted to write songs. I finished a song there, and recently we recorded that song. (It'll be on our single out at 5/10) Like, I really made a lot of progress all at once with DAISY and with the band. Like, "I worked really hard!" Although it's still kind of early in the year, I wanted to take a small break, and today... We just decided on the lodging without really having anything else planned, and came here to Hakone, which is kind of close by. My sister works in the Kansai area. It just so happened that she was free, and currently this is before our tour and rehearsals start. So I'm glad that we were able to come here now. Yeah. So, I'll be taking it easy today. It's a good thing we didn't have others plans. Just being here... It's so nice. We were free, so we decided to do something. -Is it okay that your voice is in the video? Should I stop? -It's totally fine. -It is? -Yeah. So firm. I'm kind of concerned about all these things. Why are you? Your wedding photos as well, I kept asking you, "Is it really okay for me to post these??" But you were just like, "Totally. Post them!" The wedding was so nice. It was. -The photo album of it arrived. -Ah, really? That's so awesome. I want to see it. My sister had her wedding at the end of last year. It happened to be in between our festival performances. I think it was the day after MERRY ROCK PARADE. I went back to Nara Prefecture right after our set, and the wedding happened the next morning. It was so lovely. I was so emotional. Like... I haven't really participated in weddings themselves. I've attended several weddings of record company or office staff, but this was of course my first wedding within my family. My sister, the one who got married, is four years younger than me. The one who came with me on this trip. Like, it was so emotional. I felt things that I don't normally feel. I also made a speech. You did it without thinking about it. Yeah. It's really hard to prepare stuff like this in advance. I had so many thoughts, but I couldn't think beforehand of what I would think while standing there. Even when I held the mic in my hand, I was wondering what I was going to say. I was just trying to express what I was feeling at the time, so I spoke without having anything in mind. The atmosphere was really great, and everyone was excited-- rather, they listened to what I had to say. It was such a great time from start to finish. Also, it really was emotional. I was like, "But you're still so little!" It was very moving. -You went to Hawaii on your honeymoon, right? -Yeah. -How was it? -It was really fun. -You were super active. -Yeah, I didn't rest. What was the best part? Kualoa Ranch. -Jurassic Park. -Ah, Jurassic Park! It was so impressive. That's so awesome. -It's where they shot some of it, right? -Yeah. There were dinosaurs there. There weren't any. There weren't? So nice. -You got some souvenirs. -Dinosaur stuff. That made me so happy. I've always loved Jurassic Park. You went to The Cheesecake Factory, too. -I didn't eat cheesecake, though. -Oh, really? You didn't, huh. I think I went too when we had gone on tour. I definitely did eat cheesecake. A huge slice of it. Such nice memories. You've really grown up. After becoming adults, it's really like we've become friends. -Since then, right? -Seriously. When we were really young, like maybe in elementary school, -we fought all the time. -Yeah. That time... It's hard to believe. But soon after the band first started... Um... I went to Tokyo right away. I cried, didn't I? You did cry a lot. Didn't you take a month off of school right after that? -You were way too shocked. -I was. That surprised me. I felt so guilty. I felt like, "I'm sorry for leaving you behind!" After the two of us grew up to an extent, we started going on a lot of trips and such together, and we talk about personal things like we're best friends. -I'm really glad that we're siblings. -I'm glad. Seriously. It's the strongest thing. -We understand everything about each other. -Yeah, we really do. We can talk about anything. We've lived completely different lives, and it's encouraging--or rather, it's something to respect. That's true. I've never had a normal job. What is "normal," anyway? I've not led a life where I've had life experiences in order, so I think doing just that is impressive. -Just because I had a part-time job... -It really is impressive. It's really cool. When I first went to your part-time job... -It was at a bakery. -Yeah, your first one was at a bakery, huh. When I went there to buy baked goods, I was so moved. Like, she memorized so many pastry names, worked the register, and would welcome customers. I was so moved. I bought so much stuff. All of us really do live different lives. Everyone's so amazing. No matter what job they have. Shall we relax until dinner? -What about the bath? -Already? Sounds good. We'll be going in it. (Relaxing on the terrace before that) I can't stop gazing at nature. It must look amazing in the autumn. -Definitely. -Yeah. It's so cool. I'm glad I got to come here before our tour. It starts next month? Yeah, it starts from April and runs until May. It's a domestic tour. Our new song came out on March 15. ⠀ (Our new song "Line of sight" is streaming now🎧) It's a really cool song, so please listen to it. It's called "Line of sight." It's being used in the battle scenes for an arcade Gundam game. It's the theme song for the game. We got the offer to write the song. We wanted to make a song that Gundam fans, game fans, and our fans would like. A lot of thought went into making it. So I'd be really happy if you'd listen to it and like it. For the past few years we've been writing delicate, soft songs, but we received this kind of offer for the first time in forever, and they wanted it to be a rock song. We also had been wanting to make a heavy, fast-paced song, so it was a good match. Since we wrote our first rock song in a while, we're happy we got to do something that we ourselves wanted to do. We're also happy that we got this chance for new people to hear our music with this tie-in. It's a good song that I'm looking forward to playing live. Even though I'm here to relax, I keep thinking of nothing but the band. That's a really good thing, though. There isn't a day that I don't think about the band, no matter what I'm doing. That really is a good thing. It's impossible to get that to zero, no matter how hard I try. This summer, we'll most likely break the record for longest-running all-girl band. -The Guinness record. -Finally. -Finally. Yes. -Finally. To go 17 years without any member changes and without hiatuses is really an impressive thing. I'm really grateful. That's really our last goal... Or rather, something that we aimed for. So we don't know how things will go from here on out. It's way too unchartered territory. I can't imagine it, even though it'll happen in a few months. At any rate, we'll make the next few months good ones. We'll then really be free to do whatever we want. I want us to go as far as we can while feeling good about it while also valuing our personal lives more. I have a vague idea of what things will be like in the future. Like, I wonder if I'll always stay in Tokyo. Or if I'll get married one day. How will things turn out in my life? -I can't wait. -Right? Like, my life has been totally unpredictable. All routes led to this. It's really interesting how everything's come to be, despite not specifically going for it. It's awesome. I have such an amazing job. -It's crazy. -Yeah. I want to maintain my health so that I can put on a good performance any time. Rather, I want to devise a way of always being RINA of SCANDAL. I don't think I can keep being a part of SCANDAL just by being alive. Training as well. -You're working hard. -I really am. As of March, it's been a year since I started going to my Pilates studio. I've noticed changes in my body, and I'm more conscious of what I'm able to use. I used to be really worried about my lower back, so even though I worry about it just a little less, it's made a big difference. I feel like I'm being taken care of mentally as well. Surprisingly, my feelings get hurt easily. That's true. Yeah, so please be kind to me. The older you get, the more that's true. Sometimes I feel too much. I don't think that's a bad thing at all as a creator, though. -I've always been that way. -True. We have totally opposite personalities. -Totally opposite. -Like complete opposites. They really are complete opposites. -That's why we have good balance when we're together. -That's true. (Finally went to the open-air bath♨) The open-air bath felt great. I'm really sweaty. -It was really hot. -I'm sweating. We got changed into yukata, and we'll relax a bit until it's dinner time. We'll cool off. I'm on fire! -It felt nice. -It did. We're here to eat dinner. It's really wonderful. I'll film a bit. This is what the first course looks like. We'll take our time enjoying it. Let's eat! The rice is cooking. It's cute. The last dish is here. The rice that was cooked earlier. We're back from eating dinner. We'll be heading to the private baths now. It's so nice spending all day in hot springs. I'm back. I brought back coffee milk and ice cream. That felt really nice. This was a fun day. I'll take it easy tomorrow all day, at home, that is. And the day after that we'll both be going back to work. We'll work hard. Our new song is streaming now, so I'd be happy if you listened to it a lot. And our tour starts in April, so please come out! We'll do our best! That's it for today's super personal video about my 1-night, 2-day trip. Thanks so much for watching until the end! See you in my next video! Bye bye! Goodnight! -It's apple flavored. -Apple?
