So.. Thank you very much
Today we talk about Windows 8
and it is a threatening time travel,
we gonna make,
because trusted computing haunts us
for quite a time.
What is trusted computing?
There is the definition from Ron Rivest,
the R from RSA.
What's the point? It is about
the industry trying to sell us
a new security modell.
For this security model every computer
should have a build-in set-top box,
a system, which has a key and we user have no control about it,
but the industry will take care of us.
It even goes so far, that the industry
can make queries over the network,
if the system is patched right and so on.
.. the things, that definitely adress
the security architecture
and the philosophy of the personal computer.
As I said, there are many discussions
and very interesting is, and that a part of the CCC
at 23C3 there were many emotional discussions
about trusted computing in the apple world
and there were many things great,
other were not.
But the great thing was,
that Apple was moved,
due to the noise during that time
