0:06:36.050,0:06:40.130 They happen where winds pick up[br]very quickly and water freezes over, 0:06:40.131,0:06:43.588 and these animals don't have[br]enough time to escape to open water. 0:06:44.158,0:06:47.129 But recently, we've been seeing[br]this happening in places 0:06:47.130,0:06:49.701 where it has never happened before, 0:06:49.702,0:06:54.345 in places that predictably[br]cover over with ice every year. 0:06:55.039,0:06:58.071 In 2008, behavior[br]of these animals changed, 0:06:58.072,0:07:02.377 and we saw over 1,000 whales[br]parish in an ice
