FELIPE: This is my city
This part is called Setor Bancano
downtown Brasilia, Brazil
which is where I grew up skating
This is where I learned everything
Pretty much, you know
I started skating over here
since I was a little kid
It's like a spot that we can cruse
you know cops will show up
anything will go down
this is one of the ledgers I learned
pretty much all my tricks you know
I remember back in the day
trying to learn back nose one
my board fell on the water a bunch of time
facility like water
the board goes in
take your shoes out
get back on track
you got this high ledge
I had a dream to switch back
to other thing one day
to probably try
when I'm getting old at jump
I have this little up ledge
it's pretty dope
it's kinda murk now
but it's trunky
we have this gap here
that we can skate too, you know
it's kinda long, it's kinda tight
I would crack here but
it's all good
Brasilia is the capital of Brazil
and nan if like
probably like an hour and twenty flight
to Sao Paulo
where is the big city at
like Rio
like an hour and twenty flight too
mostly like 12 hours on the bus
down there
like it have a lot of stuff, you know
probably like Puerto Rico
have a lot of cotton or something
we don't have like
much like attention on skateboarding yet
but there are so many good guys here
to skate
and they don't have opportunity to go like
down Sao paulo
go down to Rio
wherever the skateboard is, you know
just starting in the parks
starting in like
guys at films
and guys shoot photos and stuff
they have a magazine out here now you know
like that's if I'm a good thing
everything first Friday of the month
they have like
three skate shops over there
for
they put it together like a little
event, you know
like they are using 500 people
out here today
you know what's cool
cause they have all this skate shops
all together too
so make you an even stronger
for you skill you know
Yeah this is ...
a part of my life
now we can shred
MARCUS MACEDO: I grew up
saw Felipe everyday in a train
first Felipe
the first thing Felipe
and now I saw him
I see my brother to do
(sounds of skateboards)
amazing tricks
today
the little guys
looked to my brother and
"Wow, your brother is amazing!"
"When I grow up,"
"I wanna be like- like him!"
I'm studying at a university
I study physics all day,
but I can't do like
whatever
big foot cruse astound like my brother
He's born to-
He's born to skate
I'm watch us here
but he's born to skate
(hard to understand...)
gonna get this sold
chill for a little bit
go back to skate
came here get a soda
drink, food,
back to skate
MAN: Good water
FELIPE: They have a lot of boards on
that you can see
I have once put a hundred bucks
so we make a hundred boards
so they did that
they get a lot
probably like 11 or 12
It's not easy to get stuff out here
from California from what I realized
so shoes come in
nobody has it that shoes could be like
20 minutes in a story
you know what I'm saying
so like whatever they have more
they have for the stuff they don't have
whatever gets here
sells quickly, yeah
(lively background music)
(sound of skateboard)
FELIPE: My heart's done
this might the hardest thing
that I've tripped
I know over there
you went there from down here
(laughing)
FELIPE: You understand-learned a little one
to get the one
and gotta learn here
(lively background music)
FELIPE: What's up?
(lively background music)
