north of Pakistan, 0:08:25.000,0:08:30.000 we realized the importance of pens and books when we saw the guns. 0:08:31.000,0:08:37.000 The wise saying, “The pen is mightier than sword" was true. he said: 0:09:47.000,0:09:51.000 “A Talib doesn't know what is written inside this book." 0:09:52.000,0:09:58.000 They think that God is a tiny, little conservative being 0:09:58.000,0:10:01.000 who'd send girls to the hell just because of going to school. 0:10:02.000,0:10:22.000 The terrorists are misusing the name of Islam and Pashtun society for their own personal benefits.[br][Applause] forced to get married at early age. 0:11:44.000,0:11:53.000 Poverty, ignorance, injustice, racism and the deprivation of basic rights 0:11:53.000,0:11:56.000 are the main problems faced by both men and women. 0:11:57.000,0:12:04.000 Dear fellows, today I am focusing on women's rights and girls' education 0:12:05.000,0:12:08.000 because they are suffering the most. 0:12:08.000,0:12:15.000 There was a time when women social activists asked men to stand up for their rights. 0:12:15.000,0:12:32.000 But this time, we will do it by ourselves.[br][Applause] 0:12:33.000,0:12:37.000 I am not telling men to step away from speaking for women's rights. 0:12:37.000,0:12:44.000 Rather, I am focusing on women to be independent to fight for themselves. 0:12:45.000,0:12:50.000 So dear sisters and brothers, now it's time to speak up. 0:12:51.000,0:13:02.000 So today, we call upon the world leaders to change their strategic policies in favour of peace and prosperity. 0:13:03.000,0:13:11.000 We call upon the world leaders that all the peace deals must protect women's and children's rights. 0:13:12.000,0:13:28.000 A deal that goes against the rights of women is unacceptable.[br][Applause] 0:13:28.000,0:13:35.000 We call upon all governments to ensure free compulsory education 0:13:35.000,0:13:44.000 all over the world for every child.[br][Applause] 0:13:45.000,0:13:51.000 We call upon
