♪ (upbeat theme music) ♪ - (FBE) Today, we're gonna see how well you know some popular comedic movies from the 2000s. - (groaning) Oh man. I always do awful with knowing things. - I'm not good with movies. I don't know why. I've just never been a big movie person. - Oh, I'll do fine at this. That's all I watched when I was little because I was scared of scary movies. - I think I might do well. As a kid, I really was into funny movies. - I want to say I'm gonna do well, but every time I come here, you guys always hit me with new culture that I've never been exposed to, so I guess I'll see how it goes. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) Do you know this movie from 2003? - (gasping) I love Jim Carrey! There's so many Jim Carrey movies. Yes Man? - I don't remember seeing the movie, but I remember the title being really familiar, and I remember seeing this movie poster. - Is it God Almighty? - This is God Almighty, right? No, no! Bruce Almighty. - This is Bruce Almighty. This is Bruce Almighty. - Yeah, okay, I do know it. It is Bruce Almighty. - Oh, okay, this is Bruce Almighty. This is one of the first movies I remember watching. - Bruce Almighty. I love that movie. I've seen it probably eight or nine times. I like when the monkey goes up the guy's butt. - (FBE) This is the poster for Bruce Almighty. - Oh! Okay, I actually don't remember watching this movie. - That's a childhood movie right there. I was a Jim Carrey fan. Still am a Jim Carrey fan. - This is a movie where you watch multiple times and it doesn't get old. It's always funny. And Jim Carrey is just amazing. - His facial expressions-- it's just his energy. His aura is so comedic. It's so positive and it's so funny. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) Do you recognize this one? - Okay, Ben Stiller. Well, I know it's not Night at the Museum, so, no, I don't. - I don't think I've watched this movie. It doesn't look familiar to me. - Ben Stiller, that's about all I can recognize. - I know that's De Niro. Oh, man, I don't know this one. - That's Ben Stiller, right, and Robert De Niro? Meet the Fockers. - Meet the Fockers? I think there's more than one, so I don't know if that's the first one. - This one's Meet the Fockers. Yeah, because that's the first one, and then the next one's, like, Meet the Parents. - I definitely know it has the Fockers in it, right? That's right? - (FBE) In the movie, that's their name, yes. - Oh, but the title's not that? - (FBE) No. - What? I have no idea then. - Is it Meet the Fockers or Meet the Parents? - (FBE) This is the poster for... - Wait, okay. This is Meet the Parents. I thought Meet the Fockers was before this one. - Meet the Parents! Wait, what? Isn't their family name the Fockers? - (FBE) Yes. Meet the Fockers is the sequel. - Oh, that's why. - It was pretty good. I like Ben Stiller. I like Robert De Niro. My mom is in love with Ben Stiller, so she makes me watch every Ben Stiller movie because she's obsessed. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) Do you know this movie? - Again, it's kinda like Bruce Almighty, where I've seen the movie poster before, but I've never seen the movie. - It looks like the guy from that Bean movie. Mr. Bean? - This is the one where he takes the animals on the ship. I'm gonna say Noah's Ark. - I know this. He's Steve Carell. 40-Year-Old Virgin. - I know I've seen the poster. I think it's The 40-Year-Old Virgin. - 40-Year-Old Virgin? - The 40-Year-Old Virgin. I know that one because it's always on TV nowadays. - This is 40-Year-Old Virgin. I watch this all the time. They play it all the time on TBS. My dad calls my brother this all the time. - (FBE) This is... - The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Okay, yeah, I've heard of it. - Oh, wow. I was way off. - It's so funny and it's so embarrassing. - I definitely shouldn't have watched this when I was as young as I was, but (laughing) I love this movie. - The classic chest hair shaving scene, I mean, that's like-- everybody has seen that, and that just cracks me up every time. - (FBE) In the famous waxing scenes, Steve Carell was having his actual chest waxed to maintain authenticity, and his loud exclamations were real. - Oh my gosh! - That's hardcore dedication right there. I don't think I'd ever be able to do that. - That's so good. That's acting. That's like Shakespeare level. - (shrieking) Kelly Clarkson!! I very much applaud Steve Carell for that because that must've sucked. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) Do you know this one? - What the hell? This does not look like a comedy. - This looks like a heartfelt drama. - Just based on the poster, it doesn't even look like a comedy. It looks more like a movie based on a true story. - "Clooney, John Goodman." The poster's not familiar to me. - No, I haven't heard of this one. - Oh, is this the trooper movie? Or like... (chuckling) Tropic Thunder? - I feel like it's a popular soundtrack on iTunes. I want to say it's O Brother, Where Art Thou? - (FBE) This one is... - O Brother, Where Art Thou? I've never even heard of it. - I don't think I've heard of it. - Wait, I've-- okay, now I've seen this poster somewhere. - Is it old-timey, like Romeo and Juliet? - I just never heard of it. I'm surprised because there's a lot of big names. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) How about this one? Do you know it? - No, no, I do not. - I have never seen this poster before. - I've seen the poster for it, and it's zombies, so I should be able to get it because, nowadays, everything's related to zombies. - It looks like a parody, like how Scary Movie was. - Oh, wait. No, this is not Zombieland. - I want to say Zombieland, but it doesn't-- (laughing) because that's what coming to mind, but this doesn't look like any of the actors that I remember from that movie. - Dawn of the Dead. But I don't-- is that a comedy? Because I remember watching that and thinking it was just a horror film. - Oh, wait, this one's Shaun of the Dead. - This is Shaun of the Dead. I have never seen it, but I know what's-his-name, the guy from Star Trek, that's how I know him. - (FBE) This is... - Shaun of the Dead. I don't think I've watched it. - I think I've seen this on TV once or twice. - Dude! I'm very upset at myself now. I love Shaun of the Dead. - I really appreciate when they take a stupid idea, like zombies coming to life, and they make it really smart. That's really cool. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) Anything about this poster look familiar? - No. - I do not know what it is. - I have no idea. - Camp Firewood. Why does that sound so familiar? - That guy on the right, I know him. That girl in the front seat, I know. But I don't know their names. - I was about to say American Pie, but I don't think so. - There's a large group of people. I feel like it's one of the American Pies. - Oh, they just made a TV show. Wet Hot American Summer. - They made a remake of this on Netflix, right? I think it was The Wet Hot American Summer. - (FBE) So this one is... - Wet Hot American Summer. That seems very provocative. - The title sounds familiar, but, no, I've never seen it. - No, I was so wrong! I saw the thumbnail for this on Netflix. - I don't know if maybe it was because I was scrolling through Netflix, but I definitely have seen this somewhere. - Wet Hot American Summer. Like, really, come on. I don't understand some of the titles for these movies. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ - (FBE) Last one, do you know it? - Oh, shoot, what's it called? I've seen this movie before. And I cannot think of the title right now. It's on the tip of my tongue. - This is a great movie. It's like the newscaster, news-something. The Anchor? - Anchorman. - Oh, this is Anchorman. - This is Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. I have a poster of this hanging up in my room. - This is one of the iconic, most perfect Will Ferrel movies I've ever seen. - Anchorman and Anchorman 2 have to be one of my favorite Will Ferrell movies. I just love Will Ferrell. He's one of the funniest dudes ever. - (FBE) So this one is... - Anchorman. Yeah, I know, Rob Burgundy. Just because fricking Will Ferrell. The dude's iconic. - Anchorman! Oh my gosh, I was so close. - I hate saying this, but I've only seen the second one. - I love Will Ferrell movies. Will Ferrell's hilarious. - I love this movie so much. The fight scene is the most legendary thing in the universe. - (FBE) Many of the actors, as well as Will Ferrell, are well-versed in the art of improvisation, and would sometimes do up to 20 different versions of reaction lines, trying out the first thing that popped into their heads. - That is so awesome. Improv is hard, okay? I've tried improv and I just stand there, like, (chuckling) "What?" (crickets chirruping) - That's the best way to make a comedy movie, just improv all the time, and then I love looking up the other versions because they're just hilarious. - I thought I would know a lot more, but, I mean, it kind of opened my eyes to all the ones I didn't know.
