[music] Vlogging every day in August, whoo! LA Edition. So today i had my live show with LikeKristen. It was fantastic. We talked about a lot of mental health issues and topics! There were lots of viewers and participants, it was great! This mommy sauce always freaks me out. [music] I was asked by Karola in the comments of my last video, some questions about kimchi, particularly what to look out for, and how to combine it with foods. Here is my go-to kimchi brand. This is what I would get in the DC area and i'm getting it, the same thing, in LA. It is King's brand. There are also other things like, uh, mother-in-law brand of kimchi. I think, uh, Sun-Ji brand kimchi might be another one, but something that i usually do not do is I usually do not get the homemade or the store made brands of kimchi in asian markets because they pretty much always have anchovies. Not artichokes, anchovies. It's a fish product. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference whether it's a regular old cabbage kimchi, which most people are familiar with, or cucumber kimchi or radish kimchi or winter kimchi-- doesn't matter, it always seems to have anchovies in it if it's authentic. However, many of the jarred kimchi's, like this, that you'll find in a mainstream grocery store, will leave out the anchovy, much to my delight! So this one just contains: cabbage, garlic green onion, hot pepper, sugar, salt, paprika, and ginger. That's it! I grew up in Korea for 13 years, so I grew up on Kimchi. I am perfectly delighted to sit down with a bowl of rice and a small plate of kimchi and just eat that. If I'm feeling fancy I just toss in some seaweed. Some seaweed! White rice, seaweed, kimchi and I'm a happy boy. But i will also take things like really inexpensive ramen and I will toss in the kimchi with the ramen, either while it's cooking or right after cooking, it helps in cool down, actually, which is nice. Do you have any questions about kimchi? did you catch my live show with Kristin? Do you have any other comments for me? Anything that matters to you because I want to know what matters to you? Please leave them in the comments below. I'd appreciate it. Thank you for watching to the end of my video, at the end of my videos is where I always say: Tomorrow will be even better!
