I love Halloween Halloween when I was a kid in England Halloween had not yet taken on the the glorious American trappings which it has now um we were just nervous you were told that Halloween was the night when the witches came out and the ghost came out and when you probably shouldn't be out of your house and so on the evening of October thirty-first we were just a bit scared which seems like these days looking back on it a waste of not just a perfectly good holiday but the best possible holliday and while I'm actually not the biggest fan in the world of American culture spreading I like to think that the fact that right now I'm in London and I'm walking the streets of London and there are shops filled with giant killer rabbits and murderers and bloody hands and spiders and how much cooler than that can you get really wonderful so this is my holiday this is my festival this is the one time of year when I feel completely at home it's creepy you
