Pride's really a it's a tough one
because I'm kind of sure that if every
one of us is honest at some point or
other we lift ourselves above someone
else we kind of compare ourselves we're
trying to figure out okay how can I be
okay I don't feel like I'm good enough
but I'm better than that person all all
of this kind of of comparison thing and
the obvious opposite of pride is is
humility so I want to lobby for a
walking in humility a walking in a way
that we're not pretending because the
best thing for me is not to pretend that
I'm better than somebody else or not as
good as somebody else but just say Okay
God created me the way that he did as
long as I'm doing my best to walk in the
way that he is leading me last night I
was with somebody a friend who had who
had earned a doctorate in an aspect of
of law the guy was already an attorney
and then he spent eight years earning a
doctorate in international law and so
I'm struggling after I met with him I'm
going shishkov what did you do uh a
little simple Bachelor degree and
nothing beyond that this this kind of
stuff it's nonsense it's it's garbage
really because if I knew that that's
what I needed to do I would have done it
I was available I I've never shut my
life down and so all I'm saying is that
walking in humility means that I I
refuse intellectual Pride I refuse
religious Pride I refuse the pride of
Personality or of place or of ministry
or achievement or family or any of the
things that I might claim because you
know what I'm no better than you are you
know better than I am and that's the
beautiful thing is that we've been
created in the image of God so that God
could really make real to us our worth
and that that worth is something that
everybody walks with
